Miz's pleasant response. Boy, I love the staff here! =)

No questions here, thank you for the quick and thorough response.

We hope you continue having fun roleplaying on the site and we are glad you enjoy your current format. We just wanted to make sure everyone is aware of the conversion if they would like to change.

Thanks,

Miz

I have noticed that the staff are usually very quick to respond to requests or issues when I've reported them, and they are universally friendly and pleasant to deal with.

Assuming there are no more troubles on the road, how many days will it be before our next destination?

Three. =)

Are those colors for Powerpaw and Bria on the in-game thread all right?

It works *woof*

So... So far we've got everyone throwing in for Bren. It seems like he's going to be in charge from now on. Which is good, because Kaerri has a ton of experience *woof*

Kaerri also has a ton of Dannigan experience too (as she just put it).

This doesn't mean to say there is any husband-wife favoritism (there isn't, nor is there the opposite, if you get my meaning; I try to be fair to all). My lady has lost characters before (usually to bad luck, but one very important time due to the party not having it together). Kaerri the half-elven rogue very nearly bought the farm during our last tabletop chronicle when, during one very nasty combat, she went to -9 hit points. Another player saved the day with a Heal check and stabilized her, else no Kaerri. That was in D&D 3.5 when you hit -10, your character dies. (In Pathfinder, it's - [character's Constitution score]) So if your character's CON is, say 6, then at -6 we have the "Does your character want to be rezzed?" chat; not my favorite part of the game). =)

So yeah, Kaerri has experience - and better still, she's become one hell of a gamer as a result of her learning from it. =)

In all honesty, I barely know the D&D system, let alone the Pathfinder system, thus why I joined this game. To expand my knowledge of a system in a fun-looking setting.

Captain Hesperus

Oh, gosh. D&D was my very, very first RPG (even before Sherwood and Killfire and I gamed together - waaay back! =) ). I loved the Basic and Expert editions because they were so easy to use (Elf was a class, basically a fighter/wizard!), but it was 1st Edition AD&D that left a permanently good mark on me. It's college-level instructions led to a higher-level of gaming, one that challenged creativity and really taught me that the game is what you make it - it's in your imagination, not so much in the gaming books (those are important guides, but that's all they are).

Take for example a Pathfinder Boots of Striding and Springing. They increase a wearer's base land speed by 10 feet. Plus, a wearer can make great leaps (+5 bonus on Acrobatics). Nice, right? Wait until you guys come across the 1st Edition version where your character can run for 12 hours straight before the boots need to recharge, make 30 foot forward jumps, 15 foot vertical jumps, and 9 foot backward jumps without having to roll dice, and if circumstances permit and the character has initiative, they can jump in on an opponent, strike and spring away in the same round (with a 20% chance of getting stunned for the attempt, but the chance decreases when a character with high Dexterity uses them [Dex 18 has but a 2% chance]). Oh, and the boots add +1 to your character's armor class.

So while each set of boots has its own rewards, look how much more imagination went into the latter. Yes, it makes for a more-complex game, but darned if I don't love the challenge. There are aspects of every edition (from Basic to 4th Edition) that I'm willing to use to keep Sharseya fun and neat! =)

Feel better, Sherwood! *notes the Mood: Sick.*

@Captain Hesperus I will leave it up to you if you want Otiorin to be out the door before Bria arrives or not. If you would rather have Otiorin leave first, then I'll respect that and rewrite. =)

Allow me to bump this draft of mine from the previous chapter. As I recall this was the final version, with Dannigan's stamp of approval *woof*

So where exactly are we dining? One of the unexplored rooms? The winery/bar?

Hum need to learn how to use the colors. Danny, the wagon Idea is more of a necessity, Bronze can't do much right now without a rebuild of his portable smithy, gives him something to do while the group is out saving people. Also, Does he know of the living rock? If he does it might be a good idea for Bronze to talk to Skaagenrackner, a living rock might know something about the ore, and also might be able to Give Bronze some idea where there might be surface ores, coal, places where he can walk of with the idea of getting materials from the earth. As for crafting, smelting the magic items won't make em blow up anymore? And how about we start on something that he can do, like making dagger blades in a pattern-welded maiden-hair? http://atar.com/images/pagemaster/maid.jpg Then progress to making the "furniture" for em (Hilt, pommel, ect), then enchant?

Luna is hoping to spend some time with Wolf, but is far to shy and inexperienced with spending time with a possible romantic companion to know how to go about such a feat.

So, am I understanding this right that we are getting a new Signature Ability? Is this in addition to the one we already have, or is this a chance to change what we have to a different one? Is this a talent that will have to be trained up, like a increase in level?

From Luna's point of view, you have covered many of the things that I am interested in for the near future. A complete tour of the wagon, and separating up the loot that we now have. Turning the prison wagon into Bronze's forge sounds good to me; we may have to consider adding on some low level retainers to help maintain it; perhaps Bronze can get an apprentice to teach the craft to?

Lets see, what else? Perhaps a mock battle to see how everyone can best work together, to see what each of us can do with the proper training, and the game mechanics of stuff like Luna's Haste and Enlarge Person spells on the party.

I shall respond via PM (cue paranoid fantasies from other players..)

Captain Hesperus

Sherwood, this is in addition to the Signature Ability each character already possesses. If Bronze wants that, maybe we can work it out. Mock battles (sparring) is always good. =)

Cap'n, O.K.! I await said paranoid fantasies your good word. =)

How about a new ability tied to my fire magic, letting me cast any fire aspect spell as if I were a level higher?

Uhhm, can anyone remind me what my Signature Ability is? I can't seem to find it...

Captain Hesperus

Cap'n Mini Kitty Face with sniper rifle... you're right! After going through all 27 pages of our Conversation, I cannot see where you selected a Signature Ability for Otiorin anywhere. Time to select two?

Sherwoody, I don't mind these kinds of buffs for folks on a temporary basis (like the 1st edition potions of Heroism and Super-heroism that temporarily boosted your character's experience level). I don't feel comfortable with all fire spells being one level higher. However, if Luna is looking to do more damage, we can make a Signature Ability where any ones rolled count as twos. That will definitely give her an edge most spellcasters don't have.
