Fantasy Asylum of Memories (IC)

"Don't worry." Derek said, as reassuringly as possible. "If that's that type of ghost that I think it is, it can't hurt us. Only poltergeists poses the power of becoming corporeal. I'm certain that this was was just a wandering soul."

"ya its true some of the ghosts are wondering not knowing what to do they havent seen the light yet" she said shineing her flashlight around

"Well, for now they just seem like a bunch of pansies..."

Jeremy cracked his knucles and threw his gum on the side of a wooden chair.

"Lets get moving, Im in a hurry."

Chris continued to tug on the doors handles until they gave way, allowing him to free Shuichi from the dark room. He shined a light

in, filling the with light and allowing the monstrous vines to be seen. He whistled. "That's one big weed. I think we should around a bit in here." He rummaged through the bag on his shoulder and pulled out a flashlight, passing it to Shuichi."You're gonna need one if you plan on going ahead, even just a little bit." He gave a quick grin.

Autumn was still hiding behind Derek. Yes, she was being a scaredy cat because she was scared. Autumn firmly disbelieved in ghosts and the afterlife. That ghost, appearing in an instant, had shaken her beliefs and calmness. Until another sneeze blasted out of her.

"CHOOOOOO"!

Shuichi dashed out of the room as the vines receded back into a state of rest, many of them disappearing into the walls and ceiling. He quivered, nearly fumbling the spare light he flicked on and shined into the room that he was sure would be his grave. It was a waiting room, an extension of the one they entered still possessing the comfy seats the families used while waiting for loved ones to be brought out of their cells. Shuichi gave it few quick glances before he let his light fall away to light the floor.

"T-thanks, Chris. I'll a... I'll keep this if you don't mind." He shined his gift down a hall, brows furrowing as his head began to ache. He tugged at his hair, fighting between the urge to run and morbid curiosity. Eventually, that curiosity won out. "L-let's keep on. I want to see what's deeper inside."

Derek panned his flashlight around the room, inspecting their surroundings. Soon he came across a grandfather clock. The hands looked like they hadn't moved since the place closed down. Though there was still a faint ticking sound coming from it. Huh. It's only 10:30. I kinda figured it would be later than that. He thought to himself. He then faintly remembered his grandmother showing him how to reset the weights, and telling him that they had to be rewound every twenty four hours. "That's odd. The ghosts here have been winding the weights inside of the clock. Otherwise it wouldn't be moving at all. But.... Why would they do that?" He wondered aloud.

"maybe they have something to do still it is kinda weird that this is happening usually the ghosts are gone by now" she said quietly and went into a room that had a ghost look at her scared

Derek smiled warmly and said, "Sure. Areas with less ghosts might help us figure out why there are so many of them here. And... It might be a bit warmer too." He shivered a little as he said the last part.

"What'd ja say Chri--" Shuichi stopped and frowned as he noticed the ghost nearest Saruno. There was no immediate shock or fear, just a sort of strange resignation. "Yup. That's a ghost."

He'll probably freak out in a second, but for the moment, he just waited for what it had to say.

Derek hesitated, then slowly and cautiously approached the ghost. The ghost didn't move but he could tell it had noticed him. once he was only a few feet away he said, "Hi. I'm Derek. Can you... tell me your name?" The ghost shook it's head when he said this. Derek thought, Strange. Iv'e never heard of a ghost being incapable of speech. The again... There aren't many ghost encounters documented.
