Weeeell I wouldn't say Arcturus is from the Age of The Gods. He's read about Mirrah, so at the earliest he has to have been born somewhere around the rule of Drangleic. Probably later too, considering he's also heard of Carthus.
 
I just noticed, someone who doesn't use some kind of magic! Sorry. Just woke up, so was surprised to see someone who's a warrior type of class.
 
Sorry for the sudden disappearance, enjoying the last days of summer and all that. The post order is kinda fucked, and that's mostly my fault.
I'll post a reference so this doesn't get confused later, I got this mixed up in the IC so technically Karcen would be next. I'm very sorry for the delay, and I hope this wont effect the campaign, as I've been trying to get it running for some time now.

I know, trying to figure out what to post. Also I want your opinion on this list of pyromancies that Mara would tend to use.

1. Poison Mist
2. Fireball
3. Combustion
4. Great Fireball
5. Toxic Mist *Doesn't use as often like she does Poison Mist, so might change
6. Iron Flesh
7. Power Within
8. Carthus Flame Arc
9. Warmth

Had to go to my strategy guides of Dark Souls Remastered and Dark Souls III, considering the third game doesn't have some of the spells from the first game, and that Combustion is a weapon art instead of a actual spell. Still havent decided if I should remove Toxic Mist all together or not.
 
Makes sense. Maybe Fireball and Combustion seems reasonable. Note to self: those spells are what Mara will eventually relearn how to cast.
 
If you're needing easy references for spells and the lore around them, the Dark Souls wikis tend to be a pretty good place to look. Cuts out all the flipping through pages and shifting between books, as well as giving you a reference for the magic from Dark Souls 2.
 
Yes, the starting level doesn't provide much in the way of powerful spells. I'd say you could pick any two out of the list provided, save for Warmth and Carthus Arc.

Sorry, I made the post before reading yours. Warmth seems a little too powerful for the current level, given that it is essentially a pyromancy that should be a miracle. No hard feelings, right?

It's not a problem. I had changed my post when I read our last post here, to show that she had known it before she died, but now she can't even cast it by what she had said to herself. That, and I wanted Mara to know Poison Mist. It probably sounded weird by how I worded it in my post , but it's one of those things that sounds right to me in my head, yet it sounds weird to someone else. If that makes sense. I have to agree with you that Warmth though, seems more like a miracle than an actual pyromancy. It's like how Boulder Heave is a pyromancy, maybe it's one since you can get it from the Stray Demon's soul, don't know.
 
Yeah kind of not sure what to say there having the gm be the leader to better describe things often is better.
 
Err... I should ask: Are any of you bothered by the color I've chosen for Arcturus' dialogue? I don't know whether or not its shade is too bright.
