Aquatic Discovery

Acacia smiled widely and sat down, nodding a little bit and still stroking her arm, "It's so interesting... you're literally everything that science has been lookign for! It's so interesting to know... you are so interestin! I can't even begin to think about this!"

"Ah... Thanks." Aria replied, her smile growing. So she was that important of a discovery? They had never known of anything like her before? Now she felt special, the idea that she was so important excited her a little bit. She'd mostly avoided Humans, since she'd heard they eat the fish they catch out of the ocean, but Acacia didn't express any intent of doing that, so she felt safe. And with that safety came curiosity about the Humans. She felt kind of silly for avoiding them in the first place, now.

Acacia sat down beside the tank and she whispered, "You are an anaswer to evolution! Yo ucould disprove so many theories! You represent the answer to if humna intellegent life can ever form! I mean... you are incredible!" She began to pet the mermaid more and more.

Aria tilted her head. She didn't understand anything of what Acacia said, only that she was incredible. Still, it was a nice feeling "Well... It's nice to know I can help you with... All of that..." She said with a smile.

She nodded, "I might have you placed in my personal lab so I can study you! We might be able to do so man ythings! We... we can go places!" The car began to slow down, "There's a small bump, get ready.

"Go places? Like where?" Aria asked. She didn't know of any huge landmarks in the ocean, the Mermaids just kind of wandered everywhere. Rarely did they actually settle anywhere like she did. She assumed the Humans were the same way, but now she wondered if she shouldn't be assuming things about them.

She nodded and yawned, groaning a little bit and sighing, "Come on, we got places to go!" She pulled the glass hut, "Come on, come one we gotta show you more about the human race!" She chuckled andthe cage was taken to a large, s tainless steel wroom with equipment everytwhere. The cage was opened again, so she could sit up.

Aria put her arms on the side of the cage, using it to help her sit up, as her body wasn't built to sit like a Human's. Looking around, she saw lots of unfamiliar objects "What are all of those things?" She asked Acacia, assuming they were hers.

Acacia chuckled and yawned, "It's nothing that we use on you. Most of these are for studying small creatures, about the size of bacteria. You're a specemin." She pulled over a few cameras and let some lights turn on, "Do you shed your scales?"

Aria lowered herself back down on her back, her arms having gotten tired rather quickly "Do I shed them?" She asked, mostly to herself "I haven't really noticed... Maybe? I don't really see why I wouldn't, anyway."

She walked up and ran her hand over the scales. She looked up, "I'mg oing to try and pull on one of them, tell me if this hurts." She pinched a loose scale and began to pull very slowly.

Aria nodded "Alright..." She felt Acacia tug gently on one of her scales. It hurt a little bit, but surprisingly little considering it was a part of her body. Acacia soon pulled the scale off, and Aria relaxed. That wasn't as bad as she thought it would be.

Acacia took the scale, "Thank you." She laid it under the microscope, blinking. IT had the same makeup of a turtule, yet it also had characteristics of other fish. She soon realized that it was about the same as a few deep sea fish!

"Where do you livE?"

"I have a cave I go to sleep in during the night..." Aria told her "I guess you could say I live there. It's pretty far under the surface... And it's not much to look at, really. But I usually hang around that general area."

She blinked and walked over to her, holding what looked like a large telescope. She laid it on Aria's stomach as it vibrated. An image of her orgasn began to form on the screen next to her. She smiled, "You have two sets of lungs!"

Aria tilted her head "What does that mean?" She asked, kind of worried. She knew she had both gills and lungs, but she didn't know she had two sets of the latter.

She looked up, "One set is able to filter out the water and convert it into oxygen and then use the excess hydrogen to use your skin tissue, while the other is similar to human lungs!" She made some notes, then laid the device on her lower region, smiling and letting more and more images come up for her so she could make a full anatomy chart.

Aria paused as her mind filtered through what Acacia just said "So... One is for the water, and the other is for air?" She asked, wanting to make sure she had what she said correct in her head.

Acacia nodded and got a shot of her genitilia region, chest area, and belly, then took all three of them and put them of them together, showing a full anatomy scan of her. She whisteld, "Wow."

Aria pushed herself up with her arms to try and get a look at what Acacia saw. She couldn't see what it was, so she laid back down, with her head turned towards her "What are you looking at?"

Acacia pointed to her orgasns on the papers, "It's anatomy, it shows what's inside of your body. It's remarkebly similar to a human..." She muttered, then sat down by Acacia.

"Really?" Aria said, looking at the papers "We're really that similar?" She expected them to be somewhat similar, the same way as they looked similar on the outside as well, but she was surprised at just how similar. At least, how similar Acacia was making it sound like, anyway. She didn't know, herself.

Acacia nodded, "Minus the area of your transition to tail, you actually share a suprisingly unique anatomy. It's rather fascinating." She looked up, "I have a much large tank for you, if you don't want to be crammed up in that thing."

"Thanks, it is a bit cramped in here..." Aria told her "I don't mind the lack of water, but the small space is uncomfortable..." She pushed herself up with her arms again, so Acacia could take her out of the tube.

Acacia walked out of the room and then wheeled in a tank normally for a dolphin. It fit into little slots on the floor, then began to dill with water. She then blinked, "do you want me to help you in?"
