Aria

Aria looked at the demon's inside the circle. He was grinning, as if he had won the war even though he lost the fight. Looking at the destroyed vineyard though, maybe that's what happened. Hopefully Dionysus won't mind this.

Morgan still on her arms, Aria approached the Joe twins. One of them was trying to heal the other one.

"We... we need to get to a hospital!" 02 called out. Aria nodded her head in agreement, that wounds look nasty. Their first aid kit wouldn't be enough for this. She pulled out her cellphone and called out emergency number.

"We need ambulances. Ten of them. Quick." Soon enough, the place was flooded with white cars with blaring sirens. Maybe she asked a bit too many.

Fizzy nodded as he memorized the number. He would call at it as soon as they abandoned that hellpit. For now she had to receive a more organic treatment, stabilization and a proper breathing

Vivian looked around at the group, many were very injured and she couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt not being able to administer first age and nearly all of them where being carried back to the resort. One person in particular caught her eye and she wasn't quite sure how she missed it during the battle but one of them was just walking around in... nothing, absolutely nothing, she quickly looked him up and down before realising what she had just done and averting her eyes she can feel her face grow hotter for just a second before regaining what little composure she had left. She put her hand against her forehead trying to remember the task at hand and not the sight she had just seen.

Kotsu was confused by the language Owl spoke, but thought he had heard it before. He went to pull out his phone with great effort to translate the obscure language, and pulled out a frame of shattered glass. "Great... Fucking demon..." Kotsu muttered. He summoned his whips from his body, thankfully, The Whip It was still intact. He used the whips to carry his body. Letting them touch the ground in place of his legs to move himself around the room. "If I can't walk, then I'll at least do this..." Kotsu said weakly, it took all he could to focus on using his whips. He brought himself over to Owl and took the tablet she had been using and brought up Google translate. "Please, speak." Kotsu said to Owl, pressing the microphone on the screen and holding it to her.

Looking at Sam's condition made Fizzy's mind almost break, he wanted to scream but that would be useless.
Despite its rudeness, Quentin was holding her in a safe position, and her vitality system maintained her stable enough, for now they would have to wait for proper emergency care
He was about to say put some pants to Quentin yet he didn't want him to move her more than she had been already
"Keep her like this and thanks again" Stated

Jumping in one leg he got looked around for Denton, the man was lying in the ground, his hand bleeding, an eye gone, he was conscious yet he was in clear pain. Fizzy's condition wasn't that bad in comparison to other team members, being unnable to move impeded him to make risky attempts against the enemy
His friend's expression was down, his body hurt.
Gosh Denton, Thought Fizzy, the man needed help.
As a friend is my duty to help him.... as a friend... He lowered his stance using only one leg, the prosthetics withstood most of his weight so it wasn't a difficult task
His right arm went close, ready to help his wounded friend...

Fizzy grabbed him by the collar and raised him with violence

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT DENTON?!!!" Exclaimed with fury

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT DENTON?!!!"

Denton stared, meeting Fizzy Roy's eyes. His friend. His friend the killer, gunman, the cyborg. In a fight Fizzy could have left Denton turned inside out several times over if properly motivated. Fear is a funny thing, though. Once you feel it enough times it becomes something you can pushed down, seal off from the rest of you. It helped he was tired, worried, and still had the task at hand on his mind.

Denton shoved Fizzy of him. It hurt to so. His body screaming for every type of medical treatment followed by a year of rest.

"Andras," Denton replied. "That was Andras. We won."

He did a very slow and uncoordinated walk towards the cage, pulling out the flask. Denton passed Morgan as he did as she was being lifted on the stretcher. He ran a hand through her hair. Thanked Aria then continued on his way.

Andras ignored Denton when the mage came within only a few feet of the cage.

"Demon..." Denton said. "You were beaten in this challenge. You know what that means?"

Andras said nothing, but the fury radiating off him was clear. It would like the arangement about as much as it liked anything else. The demon would do anything and everything in its power to destroy, to break free, to reverse. It mattered little to Denton as long as he could got to be the one to aim the missile. He started to chant, similar words to those he'd used when calling Andras forth in the first place.

Andras stood, large fists closing, green eyes burning. He begun to turn ethereal, his large body turning into a black smoke substance. Denton opened the flask and held it out. The smoke flew from the cage, entered the flask, and Denton closed it. Captured. Demon in a bottle.

Denton turned to the group, those that were standing anyway. He fell on his ass. "We did it. Job is done. Andras is ours. One task left."

Aria

Aria watched the swirling smoke in the flask. It reminds her of that classic film, what was it's title again? Aladdin?

"Denton. Why are you keeping the demon?"

Being ignored by Denton ignited fizzy's fury even more.

"LOOK AROUND YOU! most of the team is useless now. Kotsu is down, Finder is on the verge of death. Sam is... she is barely breathing! Even your dear Morgan is useless now and you can barely stand. All for that piece of demon?! WHY DO MANIACLES WANT IT SO BAD?! They already made artificial people and mutated a vampire, why do they need a DEMON FOR. WAS THIS ALL WORTH IT? WAS IT DENTON!!!" Exclaimed completely losing his composture.

02 flinched at Fizzy's words, looking down at the ground as he yelled. "...Please stop yelling... right now we must tend to the wounded." He said quietly. He couldn't bring himself to look at Fizzy. "It... was a demon, a powerful being. We can't destroy it. Maybe banish it temporarily. Sealing it away in a flask is probably the best that we can do when it comes to a real long term solution to make sure it stops hurting people. Besides, we had no idea that we'd be facing a demon until Dionysus was the one to tell us what jobs we had to perform. We all signed up for this." He said quietly, trying to calm the furious man.

"Denton. Why are you keeping the demon?"

"I'm not...just holding onto him for awhile."

WAS IT DENTON!!!"

Denton frowned. "No. No it wasn't worth it. I'd do it again, though. Vampires and mutants and robots and whatever else are great, but not perfect. None are a match for this, though. Director Ward wanted it. Stressed it as part of the mission. A deal of sorts. Worth it for me. For Morgan. For...heh. Also, think of it like this." He held up the flask. "Andras here will be going to a good cause. A creature that can destroy anything will come in handy in the long range. Ward and the others are hoping to deploy Andras on the fieldthe next time Roosevelt Taylor crawls out from what rock he's hiding under. Not to mention it gives Manialces a good chance of finally killing the demon Junior. A lot of good can come from this."

She gets up alarmed by the whips he had some how conjured scurrying to the far side of the room and digging her self into the corner as far away from him as possible.

"shaytan!" She cries in a panic grabbing the bottle of wine and raising it as if she were about to fight him with it.

Kotsu held out his hands to show he meant her no harm. "Easy, Owl." He said, slowly getting closer to her. "I'm not gonna hurt you. Quite the opposite." He said, wincing as he lost his concentration because of her reaction and fell to the floor with a loud crash. "Ow... Dammit... I'm pathetic..." Kotsu said, trying his best to get up, stumbling and holding his head which had taken the blunt of the fall. "My skull just healed, dammit..." Kotsu was visibly weak, but held out a hand to Owl with his palms raised. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I promise." Kotsu said, making a heart with his hands. "I care about you." Kotsu said pointing to himself, making a heart with his hands and pointing back to her.

Owl slowly lowers the bottle though her eyes were still wide with fear and she would not come any closer.

Kotsu slowly moved over to Owl by crawling. His legs were on fire and his palms were open the whole time to show he wasn't a threat. Kotsu slowly reached out until he was able to cup her face in his palm without alarming her, gently stroking her cheek with his thumb. "It's okay. I know you're afraid. I don't know why you can't speak English, but I'm here for you." Kotsu said, staring softly into her eyes and slowly sitting himself against the wall next to her. "Can I see that, please?" Kotsu said, pointing to the tablet on her person. "I think I can help us understand each other."

She looks down at the tablet, then back to him, she gulps and with a trembling hand hesitantly she gives it to him.

"Thank you," Kotsu said, pulling his hand away gently and sighing as he turned it on and put Google Translate on, he hesitated before pressing the microphone button on the screen. "Owl, do you remember me? It's Kotsu." He asked, staring into her eyes. And waited for a response from her. If she spoke, he would have turned the microphone on with it set on detect language and translating that into English. If she didn't, Kotsu would Google 'What is a Shaytan'? And would await results.

Owl speaks in arabic the translastion isn't perfect but it's enough.

"I don't know, you look familiar but I can't recall you in any of my memories. There much I don't know, how did I get here? last i was running in the desert the raiders were behind me."

Her eyes widen and she begins to panic. "Are they here?! They were just behind me! They must be close by! "

Kotsu cocks an eyebrow, confused. Owl had mentioned Raiders taking her as a child. Being sold off to them. Had she been forced to regress by the demon? Kotsu gently reached out and stroked Owl's hand with his as he switched the languages, and spoke into the microphone.
"You told me about you being sold off to Raiders as a child, Owl. You told me that happened when you were a lot younger. You're far away from your home now. And I won't let the raiders hurt you. My name is Kotsu." He said, letting the translation probably butcher most of his words, but the point should get across well enough. "You have friends here that will protect you as well. Our friends were attacked by a demon. The same one that attacked you." Kotsu said. "The same one that injured me. But raiders, wouldn't last a second against me. You have my word on that." Kotsu said with a light smile. Kotsu switched the languages again, and turned on the microphone for when Owl would speak.

She relaxes sitting back down on the bed. Panic gives way to confusion. "But how did I get here? Why am I here? Why are you here, I'm so confused." The stress of a having her mind torn asunder and the confusion that follows cause her to weep.

"Whats happening to me?"

Kotsu reaches out to hug her and hold her, rocking her back and forth and gently rubbing her back. He changes the languages again, speaking gently into the tablet and her ear at the same time. "It's okay, Owl. I'm here for you. The important part is that you're alive." Kotsu said, holding her firmly but not squeezing her to ensure she was comfortable while remembering what happened to Joe 01. Kotsu's eyes began to swell with tears at the idea of losing one of his only friends in 50 long and lonely years.

She needs you right now. Stop worrying about being pathetic. She saved your life. Now you have to support her while she needs you. You can wallow in self-loathing later.

Kotsu knew that the voice in his head had a point. "You're in America. We're part of a group of mercenaries, called The Maniacles. I'm here because I'm your teammate. And I also like you romantically." Kotsu said, giving her any information he could to lessen her confusion. "I'm going to help you. I'm going to protect you. Thank you for saving me." Kotsu rested his head against Owl's while the tablet translated his words.

"You love me?" Owl looks up at him wiping away her tears. "Why don't I remember you?"

Kotsu grew as red as a tomato and started to stutter. "L-l-love?" He asked, more to himself than to her.

Dude, seriously. I just said to support her. Not short circuit.

Again, the voice had a point. "Yes, I care very deeply for you." Kotsu said, letting her go and wiping the tears from her face with a handkerchief. "And you said I'm familiar, didn't you? That's remembering me to some degree. Maybe... Can you still use your memory powers? Like, reading memories? You mentioned being able to do it, but were afraid to. It's fine. You can do it to me, if you want? Maybe then you'll see how we know each other?" Kotsu was surprised by his own intelligence in this moment, eagerly awaiting her response with a smile forming on his face.

"No need." She says. "I just ask, not good to steal peoples memories. Although...if I had used it on my father I would have known..." She shakes her head.

"I just ask, you love me? Do I love you too? Are we...together?"

"H-huh? It's not stealing if I give you permission though. I'm letting you. And-" Kotsu blushed remembering what they had done and how she had been his first, trying to answer that question. "W-well, uh, you were... My first." Kotsu blushed deeply. "And I was yours too, apparently." His face grew sad as he tried to figure out how to answer her next two questions. "I wanted to be with you. I still do, you even asked me if I'd want to be the father of your children. And I responded that they would be our children." Kotsu blushed slightly again. "But you said it wouldn't work. And told me to stop complimenting you and making you blush. And that we wouldn't work..." Kotsu was looking down at this point. "And then I slumped against a tree for a few hours while I watched you walk away from me. Wondering why my chest was cold. I still don't really know what that feeling was." Kotsu said, looking dejected again.

"You said you'd make a bad girlfriend, but I know you wouldn't. You just saved my life after all!" Kotsu said, rubbing the back of his neck and laughing before his arm cracked loudly and he made a pained face. "Ow..."

Owl stares at him a moment then she smiles sadly "You are an honest man, why I would not want to be with you I can't fathom." She looks down at her own body.

"I have matured I was only a child when I fled my captures but this body is that of a woman. So my memories in the desert are from years ago. What ever happened to me after that must have been terrible if it made me feel unfit for love. I'm almost afraid of finding out. But I must, before I can move on or pledge my self to you. I hope you understand."

Kotsu stares at Owl sadly. "I mean, as it stands, I understand completely. You don't even know who you are, what you've gone through, hell, even who I am." Kotsu said, sighing. "But I know one thing. Whatever you went through? I wanna face it with you. I wanna be there for you. I know ya aren't unfit for love, too. You're beautiful, smart, sometimes you get jealous too and that's cute." Kotsu said smiling a genuine smile. "When ya blush and get all flustered like it's adorable." His speech more casual. "But, if you wanna know what I know about you?" Kotsu held Owl's hand while blushing a little bit. "Feel free to look into our memories together. They're some of my greatest treasures." Kotsu said, blushing and smiling at her. "Maybe it'll help you."

Owl nodds and leans on him taking a long tired breath. "By the way, my name is Cova. Not sure why you keep calling me Owl. But it is nice to meet you Kotsu, for the second time."

"Well, that was the name you had told me was yours. Maybe you had a reason to hide your real name? But Cova, huh? Just as beautiful as the person who bears it. It's nice to meet you too, for the second time." Kotsu said with a smile as he stroked her hair. "And if this becomes a thing that happens again, maybe we'll just make a recording for you to play in case you lose your memories. Like 50 First Dates or somethin'." Kotsu laughed again while blushing and holding Cova close to him.

'Dodged a Bullet' Hospital was a small, but well operated clinic. All of the mercenaries who were still present in the grape orchard were brought there. The majority were wheeled into their own private rooms specially designed for supernatural beings and mages and cyborgs.

Their resources were slim, but all worked with what they had. One satyr assured the group that Dionysus and Maniacles were both bringing in more help help with clean ups, injury, and anything else.

Nothing could be done for Denton's fingers or eye in the short term,. His ribs were patched up, then pumped full of drugs to mitigate the pain. It had been his request. Morgan came to within thirty minutes of being wheeled into her room. She was confused, disoriented, and extremely thirsty. Her arm wasn't to terribly burnt. Other injuries were bad but thankfully not fatal. A dislocated shoulder, two broken ribs, broken ankle.

When the chaos finally died down she was glad to be alone.

Morgan enjoyed silence after major events, whether those events were good or bad. She liked having time to gather her thoughts,. How she felt about life, what happened, how to go on. Poor Joe, Owl, Kotsu, and so on. Denton, the damn fool, could have warned them better just how bad Andras was going to be. Then again, they were all working for a freaking god. She guessed Dionysus couldn't have been bothered to lend a hand.

Morgan let out a sighed, closing her eyes. On the bright side Denton got what HQ asked for. It would give her and her family time. Peace. Freedom. And, not that she cared as much, Andras could be used for good. Eh, 'good' is pushing it. But a quick way to kill enemies no doubt. A walking nuclear bomb.

A thought came to her.

She would have to thank Aria for the help and support on the field. The vampire had, literally, carried and by extension everyone else to victory. She was good people.

After the initial chaos of the Andras aftermath, Samantha was taken to the nearest hospital to be stabilized. Her prosthetics were removed to the best of the attending physicians' abilities, but none of them were cybernetic specialists, and it was a messy removal. Her spinal graft could not be removed without further nerve damage. The cocktail of medicines to dull pain and prevent infection had Sam flitting in and out of consciousness after her bones were realigned and her internal bleeding dealt with. She looked much smaller without her legs and arm, tiny almost.

Fizzy waited
They didn't allow him to enter into the emergency care room.
He stood against a wall, arms crossed, standing on his single leg, there was an IV connected to his arm but in his personal opinion that wasn't necessary.

He seemed calm yet his index finger was twitching, a signal of impatience.
Sure they may keep her alive and functional.... as a vegetable. He bit his lower lip at the thought
Fizzy closed his eyes trying to recall the number, there was a reason why Sam sent him that message
He produced a phone from his pocket and dialed the number.... No one answered.
He called again and again, getting more impatient and desperate
Answer goddamnit

After ringing a few times, a man answered the phone. "Ivanova Prosthetics and Augments. If machines can do it, you can." He sounded bored, as though he said this a million times a day. "This is Jared, how can I help you?" There was the sound of something hitting a wall on the other side.

"Jared, what I say about answering my phone!", shouted a woman with a russian accent. "Olivia Ivanova, with whom am I speaking?", she said after the phone changed hands.

"I need help!" Wait... he made an effort to calm down his tone

"Yeah this is Fizzy Roy talking in name of Samantha Adams, after an unfortunate encounter her body ended severely damaged. We request urgent service to repair her."

"Samantha Adams? What did she do this time?" The woman sounded concerned. "Is she conscious? I'm on the road right now, so it may take me a day or so to get there. Where are you?"

Good, they replied

"Affirmative, she is in a state of semi consciousness due to anhestesics, though she is unable to speak. We were deployed in a classified mission which resulted in many members of our team severely damaged. Sam in particular can't receive proper care from an hospital due to her body, doctors are keeping her stable at most. We're located at the hospital 'Dodged a Bullet', located at passion vineyard"

"I should be there by morning, traffick willing." Olivia put her hand over the speaker and shouted to her intern. "Jared! Finish the paperwork, we've got a twenty hour drive ahead of us!"

"Yeah, boss, I got it!", Jared replied.

"If Samantha wakes, tell her she better have good excuse to break my work," Olivia said before hanging up.

Fizzy sighed
You don't get it, I can't even say that to her as she is now

Help was coming, good, will that be enough?

Later that very night. Fizzy was allowed to pay a visit to her, personal didn't want to allow him, yet no relative was there to check on her condition.

"So hey Sam, you look terrible" stated trying to make a fun and relaxed entry, yet he wasn't even sure if she could reply to him, heck he wasn't even sure if she could hear him.

Sam could hear him, but she couldn't respond. A combination of trashed circuitry and being doped up. She smiled a little when Fizzy walked in. At least, she hoped she did. She couldn't feel her face muscles.

Dammit, Adams. A few wires snap and you can't even talk. Fucking fuel cells.

Morning came, and with it, as the hospital reopened and staff started moving again, there was some ruckus downstairs.

"Miss, you can't go up there, that's the emergency care ward!"

"I know, my patient is up there. She lost her limbs," the same woman from the phone call. "Which room is Samantha Adams? American girl, artificial skin, prosthetics."

"We can't disclose patient room numbers!"

"Then I will find her myself." As the voices got closer, the sound of a wagon laiden with metallic objects could also be heard.

"Miss Ivanova, you can't-" Outside, the door seemed to shrink as an albino woman walked through, blocking the nurses on the other side.

"Samantha?" Olivia poked her head in and smiled. "Ah, found you." The smile changed to a frown as she saw the amound of bandages and drips connected to Sam. "What did you do this time? Another power plant?"

"As I said, that's classified" remarkes Fizzy who was sitting on a chair.

He made an effort to wake up. "Thanks you for coming , name is Fritz Roy. I assume you're her mechanic."

"Mechanic, surgeon, maker of mechanical things," Olivia put her hand out. "Olivia Ivanova."

Fizzy greeted her as well

"Can you fix her?" He asked.

He wasn't dubious of the woman's skills, however he feared she may admit her damage was beyond repair

Olivia surveyed the damage. "I cannot heal her bones, but metal I can repair." She picked up the mangled prosthetics sitting in the corner. "These hospitals are poor. What they do? Use bolt cutters? No wonder she can't move." She flicked a button on her cart of stuff, and it folded outward like an origami sculpture.

Feeding the arm into the machine with one hand, and punching a command into the keypad with the other, the machine began disassembling the arm and scanning for damage. While the machine did its thing, Olivia turned to Sam.

"This will hurt, with broken ribs, but will hurt more later," she said before gently lifting Sam up and turning her over. Sam winced at the pressure, but bit back any scream.

"How do you break something built to be indestructible? Hospital do this too?" Olivia shook her head as she unfolded a tiny panel and fiddled with a screwdriver. The rest of the plates in the spinal graft opened like a flower, revealing the damaged circuitry within. "Oh, you americans treat your spines like they're indestructible." She sighed and began pulling out damaged circuits and putting in new ones.

The woman was in between checking pieces and complaining about american society.
Fizzy stood there dumbfounded

"Is there anything I can help with?" He asked

Olivia chuckled. "When the machine is done with the arm, pull it out and put the leg in," she said as she replaced circuits. As each circuit came out, Sam seemed to almost shut down from that level of her body down. As new circuits went in, those body parts came back on.

"Son of a- Olivia, how many times have I told you pulling the wires hurts!", Sam's voicebox started working again as the related circuit returned.

"Is like beesting, more painful to do it slow, now shut up, I didn't break back for third time." Olivia shook her head and then closed the spinal panels. "Why don't you just retire? Like most veterans? You get discounts."

Hearing Sam's energetic voice was a relief.

As soon as the arm was apparently finished, Fizzy put the legs.

The woman was rough, but she knew what she was doing, maybe Fizzy could ask her to make a new leg for him. However Sam was a priority

He knew it was a dumb question but he couldn't avoid to do it

"Sam! Is that you? How are you?!"

"I'm doing just fine, my only limb in a cast and it- ow, son of a bitch! It hurts to breathe."

"Don't break ribs," Olivia replied as she cleared the arm socket of debris from the previous arm and attached the refurbished new arm. "Your legs are next, but you can use a spoon now."

Olivia sat down and waited for the machine to finish. Looking at Fizzy, "Let me guess, you tripped on a root?" She pointed at the missing foot. "Initial prototype of off-duty limbs met the same end." She jerked her thumb back at Sam. "You americans are clumsy."

"You could say I tripped on a tree." replied Fizzy forcing a smile

He didn't knew how to deal with the woman in front of him

"Well, I'm already here, let me see-" Olivia patted the chair next to her. "Sit down, a foot is easy to replace. Not as expensive as whole leg."

"Oh sure... but you could finish with Sam first" Stated Fizzy

"Machine is busy, easier to repair small things than rebuild whole prosthetic," Olivia shrugged, "But if you wish." She stood up and attached the first completed leg, and fed in the second.

Sure this was a costly treatment thought Fizzy

"How much is it?"

Olivia thought for a moment, "With your level of damage? Somewhere between one and two thousand, for ordinary prosthetic, close to three for augmentation. Your work insurance should handle it, if the damage was received on the job." Olivia shrugged and attached the second leg.

"Don't move! Your ribs are still injured," Olivia ordered Sam, who stuck out her tongue the second Olivia turned back around.

"And how much is Sam's repair? I can pay it"

"Denton's paying it!", Sam protested, wincing. "It was his fault!"

"You throw blame everywhere," Olivia shook her head.

Denton huh? He did too much damage already

"Yeah I guess you're right, in that case Ma'am!" Exclaimed

"I would pay for not just a repair, but a completely operational augmentation of both leg's prosthetics! After Sam is fixed of course"

"Splurging, I like it." Olivia smiled. "Take off your legs and sit down."

Fizzy wanted to protest, he wanted to say he didn't want to rest until Sam was completely repaired, but at this point he realized there was no point in arguing with the woman

"A... allright.." He took off his pants and removed his prosthetics

Sam and Olivia blinked simultaneously as Fizzy removed his prosthetic.

"A man would request it be bigger," Olivia said as she fed a leg into the machine and punched in a new command.

"Looks bigger when I'm not drunk," Sam remarked.

Wait how did this became so awkward.....

For the first moment in a long time, Fizzy felt embarassed

"W.wait... hold on, is true that is damaged but... but!"

Olivia laughed. "I'm a prosthetics engineer and grafter. You are not the first man to come to me with that particular augmentation. Not the first woman, either."

The prosthetics went through the machine, and out they came, polished and repaired. The machine spit out a receipt coming close to twelve thousand for the both of them. "Give this to your Denton person," Olivia said, "My phone number is at the bottom, Jared can help with the payment." And with that, she compressed her cart machine and walked out, unshrinking the door as she left.

Kotsu heard the telephone of the hotel going off in the room. Kotsu was finally able to walk normally, and pulled away from Owl to pick it up. "Yo?" Kotsu picked up the phone, and was told by a frantic Joe about the critical condition everyone was in and how they had defeated the Andras. Kotsu informed him about Owl and her memory loss. And said he'd be right over. Kotsu quickly called a cab. "Get dressed, Cova. We're leaving. And I'll have to call you Owl. And that's what everyone will be calling you as well. You have to meet everyone. Oh shit." Kotsu used the tablet to relay the message.

She nods, as much as she wanted to stay in her room, she really didn't want to be left alone. "My name is owl, my name is Owl." She repeats to her self and then follows after Kotsu.

Kotsu and Owl took a cab to the hospital, making a brief stop to get Kotsu a new phone so he could translate for Owl, getting her one too specifically before communicating and grabbing her an Arabic to English translation book. He picked up the book and read it in roughly five minutes. "Ugh. Shit made my head spin, but at least now I can understand the fundamentals and talk to you." Kotsu said in rough Arabic.

Kotsu walks into Denton's hospital room, with Owl in tow. "Joe filled me in on what happened. Denton... What the hell? I get the mission was successful, but was it worth Morgan? The other Joe? Was it worth the fact that Owl here has no memories and speaks in only Arabic now? Hell, even I experienced something that most people would be mortified from surviving!" Kotsu said, his left eye twitching remembering the pain he had been through. "Denton... What the hell is wrong with you? Even Fritz was nearly killed. I followed your orders and everything still went to hell. But I'm not here to give you grief for the whole time I'm here either." Kotsu said, pursing his lips.
"... I need power. I need to be able to fight like Aria or Carmille can. I don't have hundreds of years to wait. I need strength and power that would have been able to handle something like that Andras without much consideration. I'm able to move in combat like that until I lose myself, but I lack the experience and strength that they have. I need that power, Denton." Kotsu said, staring at Denton injured in the hospital bed and doped up.

Denton sat up, body cracking and popping as he did. "Morgan is quite fine. Thank you for the concern. No one died. We should be thankful on that front." He glanced at Owl. "What happened to her?"

Kotsu sighed. "Denton, your body sounds like mine did while I had to break my bones back into place and had punctured lungs." Kotsu said. "And Owl? She's regressed to the age she was as a child. She's lost all of her memories. Combat capability, memories of her powers.... She's even forgotten me..." Kotsu said, becoming downtrodden. "She's also forgotten English. Hence the book I bought her." Kotsu points to the Arabic to English book she's holding. "And why she's become reliant on Google Translate. It's her only way of effective communication at this point. Unless everyone suddenly learns Arabic." Kotsu said, a tired, thin smile forming across his face. "

Denton frowned at Owl, then at Kotsu. He shook his head. "I'll help her. Well, do my best to see if I can use what contacts I have to restore her memories. Of course Andras may have made that impossible."

"I was wondering if that mind mage we're supposed to go after can try and access her memories and bring them to light. We have to take care of him either way. Why not utilize him as a resource? If he tries to step out of line, I can break his legs." Kotsu said without hesitation. "They'll heal, or they won't. Depends how much the kid pisses me off. I don't care what needs to be done. I'll get Owl back. I can't help Joe with his brother, but at least this is something I can do." Kotsu said this with an unflinching resolve. "This won't happen again. And after we're done with this? I want you to look through your contacts to find out what I can do to gain more power." Kotsu said, stabbing into his own hand with his nails as he made a fist. He drew blood from the deep punctures that were healing around his nails. "I won't allow this to happen to my friends again. I won't allow this to happen to you all again. I won't allow myself to be weak anymore. I'll be able to protect her. And all of you." Kotsu said, digging his nails more into his own hand.

"Kotsu I'm not going to help you amass more power. You can do that on your own time. You suffered no long term damage during the fight...well except psychological. Owl, Joe, and others lost critical parts of themselves. A leg for Joe and paying off the repair charges for Sam and Fizzy are easy enough, but Owl is tricky. The kid is just a kid. I doubt he'll have enough skill to make so many old memories come back to light. If those memories are still there at all." Denton closed his eyes. "Andras is a demon of destruction. He erased the fingers on my right hand. Owl's memories were likely totally eradicated."

Tears started to fall from Kotsu's face. "You don't get it, do you?" Kotsu said, shaking as he spoke. "You guys are all I have. And I can't protect you. You're nowhere near 70, Denton, so I can't say much for you. You'd be a grandfather at my age. But, can you imagine for 50 years of your life, being alone? Nobody to turn to or trust? Then I had you guys. I had Owl. I had the Finder twins. I had Sam. Aria. In a weird way? Probably you and Morgan too. Maybe even Carmille. Can't say much about Fritz or Clayton."

Kotsu said, bringing his head up to meet Denton's eyes. "I refuse to be alone again. Even if it costs me my life to protect all of you. I'll do it. That's why I need power. So an Andras won't be a threat. You don't have to try hard, but any leads you can get? I'd appreciate it." Kotsu said, wiping his face while maintaining eye contact with Denton. "I won't lose my family again. And I owe an angel a visit." Kotsu slipped up by saying that, and pursed his lips. "If the Andras destroyed her memories, I'll help her fight again. I'll teach her English. I'll learn how to use firearms to teach her again. I'll teach her martial arts. But, if you can get any leads that might help with her memory as well? I'd appreciate that too. Maybe when you need a favor, I can scratch your back too. Maybe give you a literal sponge bath at this rate." Kotsu cracked a smile.

Denton sighed. "I'll ask Ward, Lynn, Albright, and the other directors at HQ to see if they can't find anything to help her. I'm also sure Dionysus won't be pleased about her condition. I imagine he'll help as well." Denton stared at Kotsu. "You're fairly strange...you know that?"

Kotsu beamed when Denton mentioned Dionysus and the directors. "Wait; why didn't I think of that! Dionysus! He'd probably be willin' to help her get her memory back! He's a God after all! And she does have his Blessing! Maybe this'll be easier than we thought. And if he can't help, I'm sure one of those Eggheads could!" Kotsu got excited. "Denton you're a freakin' genius!" Then Kotsu registered what Denton said at the end of his sentence, and Kotsu cocked his eyebrow and his head. "Huh? How am I strange?" Kotsu said with a smile, while rubbing his neck.

"Just an observation," Denton said to Kotsu. He looked at Owl. "And you. You are a selfish bitch who's been nothing except a headache. I really should kill you now while you are a stupid." Denton rolled his eyes. "I will help you, though. You are the way you are right now because of me. And humiliating you just won't be fun if you aren't Owl."

Kotsu was right next to Denton in the blink of an eye, his eyes were red and his face was serious. "Denton. I wouldn't advise that if I were you. You try to hurt her, you try to kill her, I will fillet you slowly and make Morgan watch. This is the only time I'll be warning you in that regard. I won't kill you either. Just slowly skin you, over, and over. Pouring lemon juice and salt in your wounds. I'll make you wish for death. Maybe broadcast it on the internet where any of your loved ones can see as well. Make it go viral. You won't be killing her. You won't be hurting her. Or I'll find power in the only way that a vampire could. Through torture. Through chaos. I'd protect you at any cost. But the minute you try to turn on her, or me in that regard, you seal your own fate." Kotsu was directly in Denton's face, eyes staring him down so that Denton could see and feel the fury that resides inside of Kotsu. The anguish from so much loss, the sadistic tendencies that lay behind them, and ultimately the beast that resides within. Kotsu's teeth near inches just away from Denton's nose.

Kotsu pulled back away with a genuine smile on his face, coming next to Owl in the same speed as he had been beside Denton. "So as long as we have that as an understanding, then I have no qualms keeping us all safe!" Kotsu said laughing genuinely. "But get some rest, Denton. Please. I want you to stop breakin' your damn ribs." Kotsu said shaking his head like a disappointed parent.

Denton yawned. "Your threats are to long. I tuned out somewhere in there. Anyway. Goodbye Kotsu."

Owl looks between them perplexed at their long drawn out conversation. She couldn't tell if they were friends, or enemies. She studies Denton a moment tilting her head curiously.

"um...erhhmm Hallo. Deyyyyton?" She says with a horribly thick accent but with a bright beaming smile, then pulls out out google translate. She speaks into it.

"I remember your name. We were friends?" The tablet translates

Aria
Her companies were in hospital, dealing with pain and life-threatening injuries. And here Aria trying to get drunk at local bar. She couldn't find enough non-human blood, so while Scarlet was filling their belly Aria felt it was fine for her to quench her thirst with alcohol.

"The wine here doesn't taste as good as that one." She muttered to herself after drinking the first glass. Since she didn't know what else was a good drink she decided to just order everything on the menu.

"Give me Martini."

"What is this zombie about?"

"Isn't Manhattan a city name?"

"Thousand Dollar, please. Yes, give me money."

"Bartender. I want a bartender."

"This is not filling. Can I ask for pure alcohol? No? Allright then just give me the heaviest thing in the biggest portion."

The bartender gave her a specially concocted beer in a big mug. Aria lifted it up and,

"Toast!"

Her mug met nothing. Without Morgan here Aria realized that she felt lonely, drinking might not be what she enjoyed. What she enjoyed was drinking together. She left the bar soon after.

After Kotsu left Denton's room, another vampire entered smelling heavily of vodka.

"Hows my favorite Maniacles...guy today?" In spite of his drunken state and being over 200 years old, Clayton felt a tad awkward entering Denton's room after blowing them all off by getting wasted "So...ready to take on that demon?"

He honestly didn't know for sure when that was supposed to happen, but knew it was either one day or the day after. Being that Denton was in the hospital, however, chances are Clayton had missed his chance to prove himself. Clayton knew if he missed the fight he probably wouldn't get the job, but there was surely still a chance. After all, fighting supernatural monsters and dying in such large numbers, how selective could Maniacles afford to be in their fodder?

Vivian sat in the hospital waiting room a little unsure of why she was here, she wasn't injured but the people she assumed were her friends were. She ran her fingers through her hair unsure of what to do now did she stay here overnight and make sure her friends were okay or did she go back to the resort. She eventually got up an rubbed the back of her neck letting out a small sigh, finally deciding what she was going to do. She placed her hands in the pockets of her leather jacket and headed back to the resort, knowing full well she'd be of no help in the hospital.

01 had been wheeled into the OR immediately after they had arrived. While 02's emergency treatment had indeed helped keep him from dying, he was in critical condition. He'd lost a lot of blood, and several bones in his body had either minor or major fractures. It... was touch and go for a while, but the surgeons at the clinic, after several hours in the surgical suite, had managed to deal with whatever internal bleeding had remained and re-set any bones that had completely broken apart, setting them and then securing them with metal plates. His body was covered in bandages, hiding the sutured wounds beneath. His severed leg was tightly bound and covered.

He was now lying in bed, unconscious, 02 watching over him. Before they had left, he had managed to just barely finish their concoction, before pulling the rune stones and allowing the fire to die out, and the cauldron to empty on its own. He had contacted Kotsu using one of the other's phones, and then went to the hospital in one of the ambulances with 01. He was just sitting in a chair, watching his brother sleep, listening to the heart monitor beep at a steady rate. Since... their more dangerous missions had been completed, perhaps he could get the others to relinquish their potions. Then he could use it to speed up his brother's healing process and get him back on his feet... well... foot... he supposed. He looked down at the flattened sheet where the leg should have been and felt a deep sense of dread wash over him. Even if his brother lived... what would happen to him?

Getting the hint, Kotsu left out the door with Owl, making his way to the room with the Finder Twins first. "Denton is not your friend. But he is our leader. He's shot you twice in the stomach." Kotsu explained in Arabic to Owl on his way around the hospital to find the room. "Dinoysus, Greek god of wine, he can help you. You're blessed by him. Whenever you drink alcohol you uh," Kotsu blushed. "You get very strong. And also very cute. You're always cute though, so that's beside the point." Kotsu said blushing hard as a smile was crossing his lips.

"Never trust Denton, but follow orders he gives you." As Kotsu and Owl made their way to the emergency room, they passed by Sam and waved a quick hello. "I'll double back around to fill you in. I gotta see the Joes." Kotsu said, poking his head in Sam's room to see Fizzy and Sam in the room together. Kotsu made his way to the other side of the ward where he could find the 02 in bed, missing leg. And 01 over him, watching the monitors. Kotsu walked in. "I didn't bring any flowers. But Owl's with me. She's lost her memories. Regressed back to the age of a child. She also doesn't know how to speak English. Or remember any of us." Kotsu said, tired. "These guys are safe. They fought hard to protect us. They are my friends. They would love to be your friend too." Kotsu said to Owl in Arabic. Kotsu then reached into his belt, pulling out one of the potions that they had given him. "I wasn't able to use this. And I doubt it will help for non physical wounds like memory loss. Do you think it'll help him?" Kotsu asked, his chin pointed at 01 in the bed.

Owl gasps as she walks with him looking back at Denton wide eye'd. "he shot me? Why did he shoot me? And why on earth am I working for some one who shot me? God of wine? I don't believe in pagan gods. And I certainly don't drink." Owl says almost offended by these vary notions.

"Are you sure you are not mixing me up with someone else?"
