There's about a hundred and one reasons why Ritania's going to pot. Could be mechanic malfunction, could be people malfunction. Being cautious isn't a bad idea.

Were we really that far from Earth? I figured hypersleep was, like, ridiculous. Ripley's 60 some odd years in hyperspace was at the least pretty darn odd by the in-universe scale in Aliens.
