Well, it wasn't the "angel" that injected Kotsu with poison. It was his best friend at the time who worked side by side with him as an apothecarist. Kotsu only wanted to know why he had poisoned him, that's all he wanted to know. But he came upstairs from the basement to find him ripped apart. He didn't even have time to think about vengeance when he was asked if he wanted it. All he wanted to know was why. And that's why Kotsu didn't trust anyone for 50 years. Until Owl, Joe, and Aria came along. He's been working with the Maniacles for 30 years only. And that's why he's slowly trying to become friends with everyone in the group. He's tired of being alone.
