I already mentioned that he's staying at his Family's townhouse, which would be in the second highest tier of Alcamoth though I never explicitly stated that. They may not ave been "big fish", but Elof is still a noble family's name.

There's actually gonna be a "high tier" lightning Mage NPC introduced in Chapter 1 to show what kind of abilities he could learn and how actual shit tier he actually is right now in the grand scheme of things.

yeah I was thinking about typing out a comedy post of him trying to practice his magic, failing horribly as usual, but I lost the inspiration and motivation.

oh he is talented and quite the magical prodigy. It's just that his particular brand of lightning magic is heavy in the "fierce" department and lacking in control or, Trinity forbid, subtlety. He's trying to train his magic to cooperate, but usually ends up failing, getting more angry, and then blowing up a tree. Besides, i made it obvious that his talents lie in his machinations and obsessive determination to reach his goals; I never said he was a talented mage, lol.
