When he had heard Makishiru's answer, he got a bit worried. 'What would cause a player with a unique to just plop themselves in a pvp match, and why would they want a game master? It must be related to the safe-zones in the beginner town being disabled...but while I'm at it I should get on Makishiru's good side, since he could have a combat uni-' His thought inturrupted when seeing a new player walking up to them, being friendly.

He was slightly annoyed by this, as if the new player realized that their was three players with a unique near the Colosseum, the guy would most likely run out and tell everyone, thus starting his public debu, which would have upset his plan for that.

'If everyone realizes that I have a unique, then people will start giving me a nickname after that, then comes people who want to surpass me, etc.; I did have planning anyway, but it was only supposed to happen once I was at least level 60, and I had joined a small guild with people I could trust...' He thought as he was highly annoyed with the new player's presence, which he tryied his best to hide.

"If you and the girl promise to keep my unique a secret, I'll tell you what you want to know and more." He whispered to Makishiru, afterwards he took off the hood of his robe, and walked to the new player, bowing to the guy.

"Hellllo there! Would you like to partake in a deal of a lifetime? I am offering 250,000 gold for whoever can tell me what it is to be strong! Unfortunately, it seems these two cannot figure it out, but if you can, I'll give you 350,000 gold as a reward! How 'bout it?" He said to the player, as he smiled, "What is it to be strong?" He asked the player, grinning from ear to ear.

Makishiru acknowledged SilverKeon's request and watched as he attempted to toy with the other player. The player was only a level one. But those were also the most unpredictable.

In real life, Koshiro had a mild case of ADD. Of course this transferred into the game. It was now that his attention was drawn to a sound. It was the sound of an arrow. Of course, being the Weapon Master, he knew exactly what kind of weapon had made the noise.

Through the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a bird… a familiar plummeting from the sky. Instantly his head snapped around and scanned the direction which the arrow came. For a split second, he thought he had locked eyes with the culprit. But he couldn't be sure.

This event hit Makishiru hard, because now he remembered his own familiar. The one he shared with his girlfriend. It was still around, he just needed to activate it. So he did just that, activating Max the Swiss Mountain Dog.

"I should had figured." Korala rolled her eyes, stepping forward to stare into the PVE Colosseum also. She immediately lost interest when the ogre materialized, going to open her menu instead to bring out her weapon. Her eyes glanced back and forth from the small distractions happening around and back at the Colosseum. With her monstrous sword held carelessly in her hand, the crowd of people were taken aback, slowly stumbling backward. Korala was used to this reaction, given her stature did not fit with lifting this bulky blade nor did it match her theme. She furthered the effects by cracking the joints in her shoulder and neck.

With that she felt in the zone, eager for the bloodshed that was bound to happen by her own hands in the future. She did this before every Colosseum match or boss fight, it helped to keep her focus, this kind of idle animation gesture. She watched back into the pit again, it seemed the masked player had just been defeated. Korala was expecting as much, not sure why she was expecting more. Masks just make people seem more inclined to be powerful. Though the way he died was a tad embarrassing she had to admit, her eyes went to where Lumiere was laughing.

"Poor guy's going to smell like ogre ass even after respawn." She commented, looking into at the vacated pit again. It should be around time for their turn, Korala started to leave the scene, dragging along the blade as it hovers inches above the ground as she got ready to enter the eventual fight. "Are we doing PVE or PVP coli, which one do you want?" She asked back, not really caring. She was previously going to do PVE since it was easier to chase down monsters than players, the latter prone to stalling and running around aimlessly. She stopped and cracked her joints again, awaiting an answer.

Rayth cocked his head to the side and began frowning "
Ooookay very suspicious... what ever... well i guess hmm... bravery is strong in some cases but it needs brute strength to back it up and or just skill... knowledge is good and all but so is the experience and wit to back it... I guess I mean to say it differs from person to person depending on what they're good at." after he said his answer he also said "If I won you can keep the gold, the game is much better doing things on your own or with friends, And i don't know you so there's no way we're friends at first meeting." he began twirling his hammer while he Sighed and notice something *A bird? whys a bird dead on the ground all of a sudden i don't think it was there before* he thought as he looked around for the culprit but didn't notice anyone so he shrugged and walked off back to the pvp arena he was just at.

He noticed more heavily leveled players showed up so he went to his menu and saw that there was a pve arena, when he saw that he decided to sit and think about which one he wanted to do.

As he listened and watched the player answer him while keeping the grin on his face, he was laughing his head off inside. 'Bravery? Skill? OMG he is such a rookie for even answering the question! Anyone else would have noticed that I was lying and would have either try to find out the REAL reason why there were three players in an alley, or just said nothing and walked away, pretending they didn't notice us.'

He thought as the player walked away, afterwards he sighed heavily and turned back to see the bird that had been following Makishiru injured. "So I guess someone took out the bird that was tracking you guys, well well, so everyone seems to notice you two, hmm?" He said as he frowned a bit at the familar that had been only injured, not killed, as if the goal wasn't to stop the bird from tracking, but to draw out the tracker.

Opening his menu up, he saw that his copy had ran out, so he simply sent a message to a assassin guild that he wanted anyone who left the Colosseum Town to be taken out, until the Colosseum Event had ended, and in return they would get 430,000 gold. Afterwards he closed his menu and faced Makishiru.

"If you want, you could track the guy who took out the bird that was, again, tracking you guys. He won't be able to leave town unless he has a unique, so most likely he'll get killed. Anyway, what was it you wanted to know exactly?" He asked Makishiru, as he wondered what info he should give out, and which info he should keep from the guy.

"Well, we're all ready here..."

Lumiere said through his dying laughter, moving his hand from his mouth as his feet began to lead him from that upfront spot, into the actual Colosseum. Lifting one foot onto the tile before the other, the Unwavering took his lead onto the corner of the arena, promptly entering both him and Korala into the fight. Simultaneously, as both Lumiere and Korala were locked into the first stage of the tournament, another player would come flying in the Katana user's direction. Outstretching one of his hands, Lumiere would actually grasp the man by the back of his shirt, effectively halting his momentum toward the outside of the ring.

This caused the player's body to jerk around his grasp, but he was still saved from immediate disqualification. Lumiere turned his head to the player, who thanked him immensely for saving him. In response, Lumiere would reply to the user's statement.
"No reason for anybody to get hurt, right?" And with that, Lumiere would let go of the man's shirt, moving his hand over to the player's chest to wipe off a bit of soot from the broken tile that existed around the middle of the Colosseum floor. On the third swipe of dust, Lumiere would force his entire palm on the player's chest and shove him out-of-bounds himself.

Looking back at the pissed off and confused player, Lumiere shrugged. It's a tournament, isn't it? There could only be two or three teams that could possibly advance. Iff this kid, as well as his squad (if he even had one) were getting handled by the first boss, then things would be an issue in the long run for Lumiere and Korala when they would need to team up. Sure, the monster's damage changed in regards to the level of the player it hit with it's attacks, but still... It was the level one boss. Looking back to Korala, Lumiere nodded, his thumb pointing in the direction of the monster who was continuing its rampage.

"Let's do it."

"So, PVE it is." Korala shrugged as her being teleported into the Colosseum. She immediately sidestepped the boy flying at them until he was stopped by Lumiere. Without looking further, Korala assumed he was going to take the liberty to toss the guy out himself, not that it really mattered to her. She turned her attention back to the boss and the group of people attempting to bring it down.

Before Lumiere had even spoken, Korala had already ran over to the action. She stood behind the group of people holding their defenses, her sword ready in both her hand. Her blade radiated a red energy before she did a quick horizontal swipe. The action caused the energy to explode in the area, followed by dust and particles in front of her, damaging the boss and those not paying enough attention to their surroundings.

karn_the_minotaur_boss.jpg

The boss switched aggro to her, since she just did the most chunk of damage in the shortest time. She didn't mind, of course now she had people glares directed at her also for doing in their teammates. She returned their murderous expression with her own, a simple wicked grin that proved plenty. They soon all gave up, realizing that it was just better to focus on the boss again.

The boss arched back and slammed his mace directly on top of her. Instead of easily dodging, Korala nullified the force with her parry skill, using the delay to do a rising slash at the boss's lowered head. The boss reeled back as Korala used his dazed state to continue attacking. Everyone else went on the offensive this time too, following her lead.

"........."

She was speechless. For the first time, in a long time, her falcon's health dipped down towards zero. It wasn't dead, but it wasn't perfectly fine either. Placing both hands on her hips, she stared straight ahead at the glowing beacon saying to vacate the area in preparation for the next match.

.......... Even her head was empty and completely devoid of thoughts. With eyes closed and jaws clenched, Samantha let out a sigh. Calm down. Think. Don't be stupid. If it was malicious, the bird would be dead. There was a reason Ruffles was injured. To draw me out? Or did this person think it a nice game to shoot down birds? Yes, yes. There we go Samantha. Keep it cool. Think it through and don't overreact; that's when you're at your best. Seeing as there were 10 seconds left on the Air-Style timer, she jumped into the air and engineered a gust of wind strong enough to push her to the arena's top ledge. Moments later, the aura wore and Samantha was left standing atop the stadium in full view of the city below.

Sorry Ruffles. I'll have to leave you where you fell for little bit alright? Samantha brought up the bird's status menu, studying when it got hit, where it got hit, how it got hit, and where it was now. To a normal person, this wouldn't mean much; but in the hands of an experienced hunter, a game master while you're at it, it meant the world. Memorizing the co-ordinates of where the shot seemed to have originated from, Samantha activated Mountain Splitter once more.

One..two..

Little by little, blue particles started to swarm around.

three..four..

Forming a loose spiral, they congregated around the arrow's tip.

five..six..

She saw a copy dissipate on the ground far off to the left.

seven..eight..

"Receptacle," and "Voice command," were activated.

nine..ten..

The skill was held as the menu was opened verbally.

"Messages. Guild Notice. Begin. -To all available Guild members in Colosseum city, please converge at these points. Possible threat that may need to be dealt with. Feel free to take aim and have target in sights, but do not engage without my say so- End. Send."

Her eyes squinted at the spot where the arrow was pointed. She couldn't quite see the name of the person being marked, but there was definitely somebody there. Ah what the hell. He'll know I'm talking to him.

"Open chat. To all players. Begin -If you could only understand the situation you put yourself in.... But okay I'll bite, you have my attention. What is it that you want?- End. Send."

As he awaited Mikishiru's answer, he noticed someone had used the Open Chat for once. Seeing that at the same time, an arrow had flow across the sky, he assumed that it was the owner of the bird, and was trying to find the guy who took it down via direct communication, which gave away that they only knew where the arrow was shot from, but not who per say.

This also somewhat worried him to an extend, as most players could not even understand what coordinates were, much less use them, but since the guy who took down the bird had saved him some trouble, he decided to repay the favor. He activated voice command.

"Open Chat. Reply To Previous Message. Begin - Hey there Archer, I'm not the one who Robin Hooded your Little Birdy, but he did save me the trouble of finding you. If you could stop tracking those two players from earlier, that would be nice, and in return I'll give you some hints as to find out who it was. Also, lets please not be aggressive about this, as killing me would not aid in your search, nor aid in your cause to follow those two players. - End. Send."

As he finished his response to, hopefully the owner of the bird, he sat down and begun looking through his inventory to pass the time while things ran their course.

((Sorry for such a short post.))

Inori/Ina~

Closing her eyes as she was transported back to the Colosseum, she walked to the railing watching the PvE match unfold. Sitting down, she sheathed her dual swords, looking on. The match from before had been to easy, and she had a good few minutes to waste before the dark haired girl would be transported back for her next round.

Makishiru opened his player menu and activated his familiar, Max, the Swiss Mountain Dog. It barked happily as it materialized and approached it's master. It was one of the few ties he kept to his old girlfriend from the original SAO. Resting his hand on the dog's head and scratching behind the ears, he continued to observe the unfolding scene.

The level one player from earlier had given a silly reply to SilverKeon302 and left. However, there was now some commotion among the public chat and between different clans. Based on the chat, it seemed like he was the center of this interest. If people knew what was good for them, they wouldn't be messing with him or any of his friends. His story from the original SAO had been no secret. Being one of the major front line contributors, he actually expected there to be some commotion in the new version. Yet it still didn't sit right with him.

After watching for a moment, he slowly approached the injured familiar and picked it up. He then applied a health crystal to the bird's wound, returning it to peak health. Since it was most likely someone else's familiar, he probably wouldn't be able to communicate with it without being friends with the tamer. Yet he was still going to keep an eye on it. Few things were worse than permanently losing a familiar. Well, at least in the original SAO.

Then, turning to Silver, he said, "No need to track anybody. If they're so interested, they'll show themselves eventually. You can stop the guild movements. I've played long enough to recognize them. No need for killing in this situation. As for my question… I need you to join the PvP colosseum with us. I have reason to believe there is a player trapped in part of the system. Where there is one, there may be more. But I need your help to get more information. Will you help?"

He paused for a moment, and took in the words of Makishoru's answer, as he sat there, silent. He had remembered when the news about all the players of SAO being trapped in there, and him wanting to help as much as he could, volunteering, food drives, donations, anything at all he could help with.

In real life, he had always been shy, and too scared to help someone in case he might get noticed by someone. Clenching his fists, he got up slowly and put his hood of his robe back on, smiling. "Sounds interesting, I'm in." He answered Makishiru, as he pulled up his scarf to hide his mouth.

"I guess things are not going to go my way anymore, but that's alright......" He said as he looked Makishiru in the eyes, "I'll just make them go your way from now on." He said, afterwards he walked outside of the alleyway, and headed to the sign-in log, where he found few people at anymore since more big-shots had entered the event.

He entered his username, and as an confirmation, it asked for his username, again, but also his password, which he entered. His stats came up, as he expected, and he could hear players that had seen his stats murmur about his unique.

When he had finished signing up, before anyone could ask him any questions or look at his username, he quickly ran back to the alleyway and stopped in front of Makishiru, catching his breath.

"O......kay......what's.......next....." He managed to asked Makishiru as he bent fowards and held his knees with his hands.

"We join the PvP Colosseum battle and survive to fight the round boss. Perhaps if we can locate a source for where these bosses are generated, we may be able to access a terminal from there."

Makishiru entered himself in the next event and waited to be materialized into the arena. For this round, he asked Sakura to hang back and watch for suspicious activity outside the arena.

Then he nodded to SilverKeon302. Then he noticed the level one player from before. According to the rules, the last three people standing would fight the boss. Perhaps he could help them. So he leaned over and asked,
"You coming too?"

Once he had regained his composure, he nodded back to Makishiru. When he had saw that the new player was going to help, he got somewhat worried about the player, although he had his own self to worry about also. 'Without both my copy and my speed style, I can't fight very well since my strength isn't that high. As long as I can keep moving and act as an aggressive support, then I might be able to help until the cool-down for my copy ends...but I have to make sure that nobody gets killed, including me or else we'll be at a bigger disadvantage.'

He thought to himself as he looked over the new player. He noticed that the guy was moving that hammer pretty well, which meant the player had a much higher strength than the requirement, but he wondered, what about his agility and speed? "Hey, sorry 'bout earlier, but could you tell me what your speed and agility is? It looks like you have alot of strength, so if your slow I could cover you with my speed."

He said to the player, afterwards turning to Makishiru, "I'm not much a combat type, but with my speed I can catch up to most players, and keep them from moving for a bit. I have a Level 42 dagger with a paralyze effect applied that lasts for at least 30 seconds, and if the target doesn't have any para-resist, then they won't move for 5 minutes. The only disadvantage I have is that since I don't wear armor, my health will get to the red zone fast, but if that happens, I'll get away and let my Battle-Healing do the trick. Also, I don't do much damage without my Double-Image Style, but I can hold my own until the cool-down is over."

He informed Makishiru, as he decided that if they are going to work together, then it would be best to let the guy upfront about his combat skills, otherwise he didn't plan on telling Makishiru anything, unless it was absolutely needed.

Makishiru turned to the new player and smiled lightly,
"Don't worry. There is a balance system in place, allowing players of all levels to fight using their actual skill. And yes, I'm the guild master, Makishiru."

Makishiru extended a hand, but the player suddenly ran away to get chocolate. When he returned, Makishiru nodded and smiled at his apology. The boy was just in the game for fun. He didn't have any evil intentions whatsoever. Those are the kind of people who deserved to be in this game, the kind of people he was working to protect.

Following this, Silver started discussing the fight plan.
"You remember when I said I had a unique Silver? Well, I'm a Weapon Master. So don't worry, I'll deal the damage, you guys just help control the flow of players so I don't get overwhelmed. We're a team of three. So we'll have to eliminate all the other PvP players before the boss reveals itself. Then it will be your turn Silver. Got it?"

A message had come into her inbox and it looked like it came from a player named Silverkeon302. Some names....I just don't even know. It read:

Hey there Archer, I'm not the one who Robin Hooded your Little Birdy, but he did save me the trouble of finding you. If you could stop tracking those two players from earlier, that would be nice, and in return I'll give you some hints as to find out who it was. Activating voice command, she kept her reply straight to the point:

"Open Chat. Reply To Previous Message. Begin -Don't need your help- End. Send

Open Chat. Reply Again To Previous Message. Begin -If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead already- End. Send."

Samantha flicked her eyes to Ruffle's status screen as a it's health suddenly shot back up. Haha. Well would you look at that? Someone out there is being quite the gentleman. Huh. I ought to go thank them. Though she was by no means a friendly person herself, she was intrigued by the quality when it was shown to her.

With thoughts drifting away towards meeting the person who looked out for Ruffles, sight was momentarily dropped on the one that shot him down. It was a big mistake; the player was now gone.
Damnit! Where did he go?...Ah no matter. I'm sure once I meet back up with my guild we can track him down.

*Ding*

Another message came through and Samantha opened it while chock-full of apprehension and confusion. It read:

I'm glad to see our little robin hood got my party invitation..well I'm gonna get straight to it what're you doing having your bird following me?, and I'd suggest you answer fast or I'll send your bird a little departing gift.

Following him? What? You better get your facts straight buddy. Out of the corer of her eye, the player once again re-appeared, this time standing on a medium sized shop about a building's length away.

"Glacierro so we finally meet."

Level 75. Nisshoku.

"Touch the bird and there will be hell to pay. Higher level or not. I'm itching to release this skill, quite a few players from my guild have you surrounded, and my patience is wearing thin. So let's get one thing straight. You are in
no position to ask me anything; except to let you go. But you know what? I'll answer your question anyway. I was not following you. I was following the girl with the foxtails and her companion. So now. How are we going to end this?"

Watching the battle before him enfold, Lumiere stood still - watching as Korala handled the formality of working the monster to the brink of its life before the rest of the players swarmed on in. It was quite an amazing thing, watching Korala get to work with such raw talent. Obviously, with as high a level as she was, Lumiere understood that most of her power came from the level of her stats. Despite this, regarding to just how a player fights; that's not something that the game gives people. Stances, movements and rhythm aren't stats that could be leveled up. They are muscle memory that is engraved over time if the user works at their art.

Swinging the hilt of the Katana around in the open palm of his right hand twice twice, Lumiere's feet began leading him to the gigantic monster. The young man would bring the broad part of the blade up onto his right shoulder as he sauntered over to the middle of the PVE Colosseum, whistling a pleasant tune as the players around him either brought extra damage to the monster, or was oppositely killed by it. This was an elimination ordeal; it wasn't based on points, or anything of the sort. If too many players were alive by the last boss, then the final boss was specifically programmed to target and eliminate the weakest members of the group based on total score throughout the tournament. This was a neat feature in Lumiere's opinion.

As his feet brought him up to the large boss, Lumiere would kick a small rock on the broken tile belonging to the platform everybody was standing on. Eyes were locked on the monster's HP, sword moving around to parry attacks as Lumiere saw fit. As the bar got closer and closer to the end, Lumiere timed his strike at just the right time; with ten points left, Lumiere would remove the hilt of his Katana from the side of his waistband, shifting the actual sword itself into the wooden sheath quickly before he jammed the end with the hilt into the monster's stomach.

This caused the beast to fall over onto it's face with it's behind sticking into the air, before it disintegrated into the air. Lumiere brought a hand to his mouth to chuckle while the announcers declared his party the most points due to grasping the last hit, much to the dismay of the other players who felt they did most of the work.

Nisshoku looked around only to see that it was true there were a set of archers on each roof not many but they were there but he'd never surrendered before so he wouldn't now and he knew that he could take them all on especially with his speed skill active, he turned to face Glacierro " so you think your little group of Archers is gonna stop me?, watch closely as I strike down every last one of them" he smiled slightly before vanishing quickly the only thing being sewn was a black blur as he quickly slashed through her lower level friends and reappeared at her side his katana pointed directly at her neck, he wouldn't kill her..not without reason it was a ruke he lived by " so do you still want me to surrender or will you take this opportunity to leave with your life? If I were you I'd leave, trust me leaving is way safer than what I'm capable of doing" he already knew her answe but he wanted to hear her say it herself, he then opened his items menu looking over all the items he had collected from those kills it looked like killing those idiots wasn't worthless after all, maybe she'd have some more rare items that would really be worth his while.

That was it. She was at the end of her rope. Even though she tried to be nice, didn't shoot him, and even went so far as to say he had it all wrong, but somehow, there was still a blade pressed up against her throat. She was pissed; but not stupid. Level 75 was still a long way from 58. Plus, her character was tailored to be an unassailable terror in long-ranged combat; not up close. This left Glacierro's combat skills in that department, a bit lacking. If there was going to be any coming out alive through all of this, wits and a unique had to be used. Luckily, she had both.

Water began seeping from her neck as it wrapped around the blade, dulling its deadly edge.
Minimize the danger, check. Taking the opportunity to move without risk of injury, Samantha, still on the edge of the PVP Colosseum, teetered backwards into it and let herself fall. Create some distance, check. Midway from the top to the floor below, the skill Mountain Splitter, was finally released, sending an whizzing arrow towards the spot where Nisshoku was still standing.

*Splash*

The archer fell into a freshly constructed pool of water, cushioning her fall. Samantha raised her bow in triumph, as the whistle sounded for the next batch of participants to enter into the arena.
That's careful attention to the event logs my friend. Good luck trying to find me. Once my air-style is good, I'll just jet on right out of here. With that, she sprinted towards the swarm of oncoming players, slowly filing their way into the empty arena. Upon reaching the first wave of them, she promptly turned around and blew a kiss to the would-be assassin; then dipped herself backwards, fading into the horde.

Makishiru still held onto the bird he had healed. It wouldn't make sense just to send it back up to get shot again. Max, his own familiar, stood by his side. The Colosseum PvP Arena Battle was about to start. The players had started to appear in the arena.

As he appeared, a girl was running toward him. The arena battle hadn't started yet, so this confused him. Did she not understand the rules? Or was she another player that hadn't signed up. Either way, he had nothing to fear.

"Woah, slow down! You shouldn't be here if you're not signed up for the arena."

"Woah, slow down! You shouldn't be here if you're not signed up for the arena."

Yeah of course not. Running past the player, she screeched to a grinding halt. Turning back around Glacierro quickly walked up to the man eyeing the menu of her familiar. 0.01mi away? It's you then. It was you. A rough and brusque attitude began melting away like butter.

"Here Ruffles," she sang, "shoulder." The familiar left it's place of rest and landed with a light plop on Samantha's shoulder. Makishiru was his name. "Hey Makishiru. I just want to say thanks for taking care of Ruffles while we were separated. You didn't have to do all that; really. Moments passed as Samantha wondered what she could possibly give him as thanks. He was a much higher level than her, so it didn't seem like money would be any good.

"Say, is there anything you needed to know about? I'm pretty good with information and finding things out. About the sign-ups don't worry about it. You may not have seen me inside but trust me; I took care of it. As to why I was running...let's just say it was to get away from somebody haha. But you don't have to worry about that. Once my air cool-down is up, I'll be flying right on out of here."

When the new player stopped and called out, the bird in Makishiru's arms started to squirm. This new player must have been the familiar's owner. Letting it fly to it's master, he said,
"You should keep a better eye on your familiar. They're a rare commodity." Max barked as if in confirmation.

I don't think we need anything unless you would happen to be a game master. The one I had with me seems to have signed up for the wrong event."
