I‘m pretty good. Just stressed out. Being a waitress is really tiring, even if the hotel has only 15 tables it‘s quite hard to remember all the rules etc.

Nope. But you barely make any money. Like 4‘000 dollars brutto. That‘s almost not enough to live. With tips you can either keep them yourself, or they go in a pool and everyone gets an equal amount or the owners of the restaurant just keep it. But since I‘m working at a hotel, I‘m also not getting any tips.

Average salary here is like 7‘000 dollars. 4‘000 really covers basically just the bare minimum to live

Except most restaurants don't pay minimum wage around here because they expect to make it up with tips. And by expect I mean they don't expect and just want an excuse to pay less than minimum wage. Yes I know. We always do the current 18%-20% sometimes more if the service was really good or we‘re close to going home again and just dump all the loose change we have
