Academy for the Gifted

Warak wanted to take a nap.

He knew that one or all of them were going to be cited and\or punished for this "mishap". He was still frustrated. Why did the academy assign them together if they foresaw issues? Did they not train them enough to be responsible and handle their own misunderstandings?

"That's fine, we understand. We should probably return to the academy and get cleaned up." He winced. "You really throw quite a punch." He smiled at the boy, no need to harbor anymore bad feelings. "We need to go get patched up and report to our assignment head. You probably have someone to report to as well?" He sighed. "What do you think will happen? Will we be punished?" Warak figured that his "Higher up" would have some idea of what to expect.

"It's okay, it was also our mistake" Ronnie shook her head as she intertwined her fingers behind her back and stretched a bit "I should be the one who should be apologizing to you. I just used my bullets as a distraction, never meant for you to get shot" She felt kind of bad, because compared to those two, she was actually perfectly fine "If we're done here, let's go back and get both of you treated. Worrying about the consequences of this will have to wait" She was certain they would all be punished. More than one person was needed to start and keep a fight going after all. Though, she didn't want to talk about that at the moment, why bothering? They would be finding out pretty sure, of that Ronnie was pretty aware herself.

"The bullet wounds don't need treating. They're very easy to take care of." Lucem reached lightly into the wound and quickly removed the bullets. He had suffered worse pain and he was used to being shot. "Judging by your conditions, I would guess that you would prefer not walking. If you would like, I could give you a ride." In his mind, their damages were far worse than his. "That way, you'll be able to rest and turn in your report faster." They might not be too eager to turn in their report, but it was better to get it out of the way. The academy would probably prefer being told immidiately, rather than having to wait.

As Warak was beginning to feel the pain of his injuries more thoroughly he was all for the idea of riding rather than walking. "A ride would be much appreciated, thank you." He looked closer at Lucem more closely. "That's a neat trick with the bullets."

Warak turned to see how Ronnie had fared. Overall, she looked fine. Almost unscathed. "You okay?" He asked her. "I am sorry. I sort of ran into that fight head first. I'll try to watch my temper next time. I feel like most of this is my fault for being so hot headed."

Ronnie agreed with Warak about the ride before thanking Lucem. She felt fine, but she somewhat truly wanted to get back to the academy as soon as possible. When Warak turned to her and apologized, she just gave him a small smile, accompanied by a light shrug "I'm fine" She declared "You don't have to apologize. We're a team, so there is no 'it was my fault' thingy between us" And it was true, they were partners and it hadn't been as if he had forced her to fight or something like that.

"Then if you would, please follow me." Lucem walked through he forest, until he reached a deserted road. It was dark, but two bright lights flickered at the touch of a button in Lucem's hand. Before them stood a sleek black as night car. It looked very expensive. The design was not only pleasant to the eyes, but it was also a very tactical vehicle. He walked over and opened the driver side door. He fastened his seatbelt and started the engine. It roared with life, showing that it also had an impressive engine. The car could only be started by him, since it was set to detect a person's fingerprints upon touching the wheel. He tapped a button on the car's keypad, opening the doors smoothly. "Let me know when you're ready to leave." It may have seemed odd for someone as young as him to be driving, but he was not a regular person. He had plenty of experience driving vehicles and this car belonged to his private collection.

Warak had to admit he was impressed. He eyed the vehicle enviously. What he would give for a ride like that.

He whistled appreciatively. "Where did you pick this up? They hand these out at the academy? If so where do I sign?" He wasn't sure that Lucem was licensed to drive, he didn't look old enough. But Warak could not deny the confidence that came off of this kid. He had no problem trusting his abilities.

He shrugged his shoulders, "I am ready as soon as you and Ronnie are."

"Oh, I'm ready" Ronnie declared as she eyed the car with a bit of admiration. Not a fan of those herself, but she had to admit it was pretty nice. They wouldn't have to make their way back by walking to say the least. The job was done and she just wanted to get to the academy quickly. Get assigned something much more interesting than a simple gang. Jeez, seriously, it kind of have been a waste of time.

"In that case, let's be on our way." He waited for the partners to get in before closing the doors and driving. The sky was extremely dark, making it hard to see the road in front of them. However, he could see perfectly. It was one of the perks of being able to manipulate light. His eyes glowed with a golden hue as he drove. He touched one of the many buttons on the keypad and the car seems to glow for a second, before going back to normal. At this point, Lucem increased the speed, bypassing numerous card with expert turns. It was almost as if they were invisible. Well, that was the point of the cloak he had activated.

Thu had reached the academy shortly and he waited for the other two to exit. Once they were all outside, he pressed the same button from earlier and the car drove off by itself. It would be heading to a nearby parking garage owned by the academy, which is where he kept the rest of his vehicles. He walked towards the entrance of the academy, ready to accept his punishment.

Warak was not going to admit to these two that he was slightly concerned about the consequences they would have to face. He had never really been reprimanded by the academy before and he really wasn't looking forward to his slap on the wrist. There was something very degrading about being disciplined. He was not a fan. He looked toward Ronnie and Lucem. Lucem already on his way inside. He followed and tried o prepare himself. He wasn't confidant in his ability to keep his calm if he felt he was being wrongly treated.

Ronnie followed the two guys quietly, mostly because there seemed to be nothing to be said. Would they be punished? Would they not? That was the question that was floating on the air. Either way, how bad could that be? They had completed their mission at the end and had just fought between them, no damaged to a third party. She absently wrapped both of her arms around her neck as they entered the main building, staring forward solely. Warak's and Lucem's wounds needed to be treated as well, she would have to see what to do it as soon as they were done with that. Oh formalities, they were such a bother.

As Lucem walked through the doors, he was met with the sight of two men. They differed greatly in appearance, like they were complete opposites. One was burly man, standing at about seven feet. His veins were right against his muscles, looking as if he would explode if he gained any more strength. His beard was shaggy and wild, almost as if he took no time to look professional.

The other man was contrasted greatly. He was under six feet and his muscles were almost nonexistent. He had a very clean and professional look, coupled with a pair of spectacles. He looked very frail and not the least bit intimidating.

Both of these men handles reports, but the stronger of the two dealt with the higher-ups. That's how things worked at the academy. People were separated by power and skill, dividing members by a simple analysis.

Lucem approached the weak-looking man and bowed his head. "Lucem Tenebris, reporting in." The man in front of him nodded and led him to the briefing room across the hall. He knew this would take awhile and he wondered what his punishment would be.

Warak wondered how they knew there was a problem. They seemed to be waiting on the trio. Glanced at Ronnie to discover that she didn't seem too concerned. Warak hated to admit it (and he was good at hiding it) but he was not very clam at this moment. He had never been punished here before.

He squared his shoulders and went with their guy, dreading what was to come.

Ronnie followed both of the boys close behind with the same calm and relaxed attitude she had portrayed ever since they returned. Mad or not. Heck she didn't care. She used to get into a lot of trouble because of Jack before. By now, she was used to it. Besides, the things her last partner had done had been much more severe than attacking another member of the academy. That crazy guy, always doing the things as he pleased. Oh well, can't be that bad She thought to herself.
