Fantasy Academy De Feast (Reboot)

Cordelia stopped and pursed her lips at the sound of a second person in the hallway. He was probably speaking to her since she was the only other one there. So she turned around kept one hand clutching her dress gently, the other hand was up palm facing him in a greeting she used to giving others in her village.

"H-hello...Im doing quite well. And um..how are you today?"

The boy seemed pretty open so far, an by his looks he seemed pretty normal to. The fact he was reacting to her appearance at all was nice. She hoped her english wasnt to muddied up for him to understand her well, she was once told that her peoples accent when speaking english sounded like a mix of irish and spanish..which was quite an odd mix if she said so herself. Her yellow eyes examined the boy for a moment, blinking slowly.

"My names Cordelia by the way...my I have the pleasure of knowing yours?"

@Federoff

"I'm doing good today myself" replied the boy to Cordelias' question, giving off a plain old smile. "The names' Alex, nice to meet you Cordelia" stated Alex, his own light brown eyes examining the girl. He didn't really seem to mind the differences at all, that was just how Alex was though; he doesn't like judging people before actually knowing them. "That's an interesting way of greeting people" stated Alex

Cordelia put her hand down and kept her posture straight as she spoke to the boy whos name she knew now as Alex.

"Its the way we greet back home..i'am not accustomed to the ways people here greet one another. So I apologize before hand if my ways are a bit confusing. Do you know your way around this building? I seem to have become lost.."

She slithered a bit closer to him, their height difference wasnt to bad but she was still a bit taller than him. She held her paper out with her room number on it for the classroom. At home she had huts and small houses but nothing to this extent. It was all to confusing for her to try and figure out such a large place.

@Federoff

Alex chuckled to himself, seemingly not caring that she got closer. "Nope afraid o, I'm just as lost as you are!" heartily laughed Alex to himself, putting a hand to behind his head to scratch at. "So where are you from?" asked Alex curiously, he had traveled around the world and so was naturally curious. His life on board a ship sent him to all corners of the world, and even beyond!

Cordelia frowned. It was really no help if she couldnt find anyone who knew the way around..she was never going to find the class at this rate. She sighed.

"No where of interest i am sure..its a village on the eastern edges of the Dead sea..its nice there if you have ever been to that area. Though quite difficult reach. Our village was called Lanamaewa...it is a mouthful as im aware"

She managed a small smirk, keeping her hands folded in front of her. She was trying to be nice to everyone she meets here. The last thing she needed was to make people avoid her when they were all here for the same reason.

"We dont see many outsiders anymore..at least not while I had been living there. It was..rare..shall we say after I was born that people from other places showed up"

Which was true and depressing really. Outsiders coming from closer islands took notice of her well..abnormalties..and found fear. Thus many people stayed away, especially after the incident.

Alex let the information sink in for a little, trying to recall if they ever docked at Lanamaewa, and after a few moments he snapped himself back to reality, with a snap of course. "Yeah I think we delivered supplies there a few times" replied the boy with a smile, happy for himself that he could remember. "Way cooler then where I grew up, then again I come from the deserts of the Niles; Egypt" stated the boy, not sure himself as why he was adding this information, but he did anyway; Alex was as open as a open book.

"For example, Ms. Softwer, I... I can help lost people find their way because of my attunement to space!" Fan explains to the "wolf shifter" with a twitch of his elfin ears that does not make him look too certain. "It works with significantly greater efficacy if I employ it upon others instead of just myself, because it is the way of benevolent nature spirits to help others before oneself!" the merboy proclaims with a hand over his heart.

"Let us give it a try..." The minute spectral speck near him flares up with chromatic lights, and from it emerges a school of semitransparent, incorporeal fish. "Please seek out the nearest lost person who needs to be in this room, alright?" he instructs telepathically, although Softwer might be able to intuit that Fan is saying this just for show.

The little fishies soar right through the classroom's door, leaving a trail of ever so minutely distorted space in their wake. They swim, swim, swim along the halls until they stop just in front of Cordelia and Alex, whereupon they perform a small little aerial dance, as if beckoning the two. The incorporeal critters' trail of subtly warped space generates a spatial "tug" in the direction of the classroom, indicating a clear path.

Cordelia tried to think if she remembered a time where supplies was delivered.

"I must have been gone by the..that or locked up in my hut with patients."

She put her finger to her lips and thought a moment.

"The niles..I have heard of such place before though I must say I have never been. This is my first time leaving home and I really didnt go anywhere exotic. Mainly cities and small villages such as my own"

While she was talking she noticed the ethereal fish swimming about the hallway.

"Well..thats quite odd...I do not believe fish are suppose to be air born"

She reached out and tried to touch one but it soon swam back to the direction it came from. It seems to have come from a room at the other end of the hallway. This school was truly going to be interesting.

@Federoff @Agata

Softwer was surprised by the fish boy's magic. He was able to find the missing students with strange flying fish. Hmm, maybe he could find Haps. Could he? Haps could be anywhere in the world right now, even dead. Well what else can we do. "I see," she said," it looks very interesting. I may call you up later for a job I have."

@Agata

@OrenjiGatsu

"Thank you very much, Ms. Softwer!" The little merboy's face livens up with bright, azure eyes and a gleeful smile. "I will be a faithful servant when called upon! You can be assured of that, miss!" he happily tells her with both hands over his heart.

"In fact... we could start right now, if you would like." The piscean child extends both of his slender hands, and both are shrouded in an obscuring, chilling mist. Once it subsides, a small bowl of water, a wristwatch, and a ruler all appear in them. With a gentle smile and an energetically swishing fish-tail, Fan lays the items out upon Softwer's table. "I apported from somewhere in the world these items and made the water myself... but you still need to be the one to perform the ritual, okay?"

"... Come to think of it though, I should have just used that trick from earlier to find our missing teacher..." With another flash of light from his phantasmagoric orb, the merboy spontaneously generates another school of incorporeal, flying, space-warping shepherd fish, then silently sends it off to locate a teacher. "I am still not... really too used to thinking about how to use my powers that well..." he meekly admits with a small frown and downturned elfin ears.

"No they don't I reckon" replied the boy in shock, one does not really expect fish to be air born; that was definitely unusual to say the least. That's basically the equivalent of finding a tomato in a banana, something you do not ever expect to happen; yet here they are. "Very weird indeed" stated the boy as he was somewhat memorized by the floating fishes.

The red-haired elf girl near the window just stared at the spirit and the wolf girl, seemingly either very interested in what he was doing or just having nothing to do; probably the latter knowing Lizzy. She was not one to socialize since she left her town in search of a better life, a life distant from her past. She let out a small sigh as she watched the two, the sigh meaning absolutely nothing; just a sigh.

"Oh, ummm... sorry, miss." Fan lowers both his head and his azure eyes as the merboy realizes his having excluded someone from the conversation. "You were staying quiet, so I just thought... oh, well..." The nature spirit lifts his head and tries his best to put on a friendly smile.

"Would you be interested in my spiritual services as well, miss?" he politely, if uncertainly, asks the elf. "Everything I just explained can work for you too, as long as you do the same ritual," gesturing over to the components laid out on the table... and growing a little entranced by the presence of water, a timekeeping device, and a space-measuring device all sitting there so pleasingly and beautifully...

The nature spirit summons up all his will to break himself free from the trance, and he looks a little silly as he shakes his head, sending droplets of water flying here and there.

"A-Anyway... I can apport here more for you, if you would like," Fan suggests with a swish of his piscean tail. "Then you can try it out as well? Maybe you would like more time for something, a small prophecy, a look into the past, something teleported to you, or... another service?" he pleads with desperate, puppy dog eyes.

"Oh, and... what can I call you, miss?" the nature spirit courteously asks. "My name is Fan, although... you have probably already heard that."

Lizzy blinked, realizing that she was staring at the spirit boy and the other girl. "Sorry, I spaced out" replied the girl emotionlessly, she was never the one to put emotion into simple conversations now a days, it just didn't seem right to her. Sh reached out her gloved hand, her jacket bouncing a little as she did so, and pet the boy on the head as if he was younger then her. "As for my past, I prefer to leave it that way; the past" simply said Lizzy, satisfied with her answer. Lizzy remained silent for a few moments, unsure of what to say next; "My name is Lizzy" greeted Lizzy, trying to make up for her polite decline of help, Lizzy was never a big fan of getting help; she was a hands on girl.

@OrenjiGatsu @Federoff

Something does not quite seem right as Lizzy pats the nature spirit's head; she can feel her hand make soft impact, but something about the texture of his watery hair seems 『off』. It feels like neither hair nor liquid, but rather a subtle force reaching out to resist her hand. Fan acknowledges the head-patting with a content smile and a small blush all the same, but his mouth is turned down into a frown.

"O-Oh... that is fine, Ms. Lizzy." The merboy's voice betrays obvious disappointment. "It is understandable if you do not seek minor services from me. But... I have something else to offer," his voice lilting upwards as though picked back up by redoubled optimism.

"If you would like to attain 『magic of water, space, and time』," elfin ears perking upwards, ethereal orb brightening its intensity, "then I can grant you such with another one of my special services. The first batch is 『wholly free and lasts forever』!"

As though demonstrating his point, the ghostly orb revolving around the nature spirit glows with soft, cool-colored light. A large number of "screens" with borders of shimmering water appear in the air, each one depicting a vista of beautiful natural scenery, from the rainforests of the Amazon, to antarctic ice floes, to the wide savannas of Africa. Sights, sounds, and smells all come in from the scrying windows.

"But if you wish to make it stronger and more flexible, then you will have to do perform minor services for me that last a few hours... but all I will really ask you to do is use your magic to help people in their everyday lives," he forthrightly explains with both hands over his heart and a worried-looking smile. "I cannot imbue upon you potent magic from the beginning, because it is the services you perform that bolster your power by the authority of the covenant we forge together."

"Would you be interested in that, at least, Ms. Lizzy...?" the piscean child begs. "You can take the offer too, if you would like, Ms. Rosey, Ms. Elsa, Ms. Softwer," gesturing to each of the others in the room in turn, cold fog and warped space accompanying each gesture as usual.

Cordelia was curious, which was not like her. But here she was free from her social standings as a healer and was free to seek out anything she wished to.

"Well then..im not sure about you but im quite curious and wish to see why fish are flying in this school"

She smiled at him before sliding down the hallway towards the door the fish came from. Thankfully the strange trail was leading a obvious path. She looked back at Alex for a moment before speaking.

"If you like you can seek out this phenomena with Alex..I would enjoy knowing im around someone who I have gotten to know in the slightest way"

With that she continued forward touching the trail with her hands to see if it did anything. Instead it just looked mirrored almost and that freaked her out.

@MorticiansDaughter

The trail of subtly distorted space "loosens up" and returns to normal as Cordelia makes contact with it, as though her very body was physically correcting each nonstandard spatial axis. The airborne fish likewise wink out of existence as sections of the spatially "tugging" road disappear. In other words, the path clears up as she slides along it...

And of course, it leads to the teacher-bereft English classroom where a certain nature spirit of water, space, and time is giving a honest, but desperate-sounding pitch for the various spiritual services he can offer to Rosey, Elsa, Softwer, and Lizzy. The childlike merboy does not seem to have noticed the naga/lamia girl approaching yet, so she is free to listen in.

"Sounds like a plan" smiled Alex before speed-walking to catch up to Cordelia, and after a few moments was walking right beside her towards where the fish came from. "So what are you? Gotta be something special to have a cool tail" asked Alex as he took the flask from around his belt and drank from it.

Lizzy took note of the strangeness of the boy, though she did not have the right to speak about being strange. She shook her head in a no fashion before saying
"No thank you, it is not right for fire to have water, nor is it right to have control over something that is not my own" in a polite tone and manner; hoping her explanation would make sense to the spirit boy. Her voice filled with honesty and gentleness, yet as if she was hiding something.

"O-Oh, well..." The piscean child begins to nervously twiddle his thumbs together, and he wears a saddened frown. His half-closed blue eyes seem to be tearing up, and his pale cheeks grow red. The ethereal orb near him dims in intensity, and it sprinkles water upon his head, not like a cheerful spray, but more akin to a sad, rainy day.

"I can limit the powers I imbue to just space and time if you dislike water... and I can contain them in an enchanted magical focus item, so that they do not interfere with any pyromantic energies in your body," Fan pleads further, elfin ears droopy, fishy tail nervously twitching. "But that is fine. If you would rather not accept, I can understand your reasons, but please know that I will always be here if you need me, okay, Ms. Lizzy?"

"What about the rest of you, Ms. Rosey, Ms. Elsa, Ms. Softwer?" turning to the other girls in the classroom. "Would any of you like to take my offer? The first batch of permanent magical ability is totally free, and the services to improve it are just helping other people out at school..." Fan's mouth lifts itself into a faint, forced smile, and his azure eyes seem to be on the verge of loosing tears.

Cordelia rubbed her neck and looked as the trail started to disappear. As they slowly reached the room she could hear others and that made her nervous so talking with Alex took her mind off of it.

"Well..My people called me a Naga..but they truly believed I was the ancient god that healed our people. Brought into this life to be the healer and protector of the sick you could say" She chuckled and then sighed.

"The tail as you say may be cool..but it is the way that I was born so its is simply..me. Though I wish I looked in a manner more conspicuous. Something no one could point out so easily such as yourself..Even in a humanoid form I am looked upon in a very strange way."

@Federoff

Alex let the information sink in, as well as the contents from his flask; and after Cordelia finished speaking he removed the flask before putting it back to his side and smiling. "Well that's cool, I understand what its like to treated like a god though" replied the boy before he looked out towards the sun, somehow staring directly at it. "Hope your doing ok up there pop" stated Alex before breaking his stare from the sun and back to the world.

Cordelia tilted her head and stopped right outside the classroom door, looking at Alex as he looked outside.

"You are..a strange boy Alex. Why do you talk to things outside? And what do you mean you understand? I would truly like to be enlightened"

She crossed her arms and looked at him with a small smirk. One thing that came with her appearance was the fact that she had a small set of sharp fangs on her lower and upper set of teeth. It was hard to notice them at times but if she smiled enough you could notice them. Though she sometimes dreaded them..it made the fear people had for her in her village.

@Federoff

Softwer looked at the items on her desk and looked at the fish boy. "I will ask for your help later," she said," though now we should be learning. As for the magic, I may be a little busy, however I may try to help people everyday. I have some priorities to take care of." She did, she had to find Haps, make sure she is welcomed here, and try to be alright with humans.

@Agata

Alex pointed at the sky, well the sun to be specific and smiled. "That's pops up there, Ra" stated Alex with a smile on his face, he was proud of his heritage and did not hide it in the least. "I'm the son of Ra, god of the sun and light" explained Alex as he turned back to Cordelia, still smiling as he did so. "Those are some cool fangs" stated Alex as he leaned in closer to get a better look; him not noticing how close he was getting.

@OrenjiGatsu

"That is fine, Ms. Softwer," directing a warm, relieved smile towards the "wolf-shifter," as though uplifted from Lizzy's refusal.

"There is no rush for you at all," the nature spirit explains while spreading his arms wide, allowing a prismatic arc of glistening water to flow between them, "and I can offer you all the time in the world!" Fan declares with perking-up elfin ears and an energetically swishing piscean tail. His gaze sweeps across the various scrying windows to a dazzling number of natural sites, then back towards the girls in the room.

"So... umm... where do you come from anyway, Ms. Softwer?" Fan awkwardly asks via telepathy while settling down and floating at a lower altitude near his seat. "My home is the whole world, but that is simply because I am a nature spirit. You must have a more specific hometown, right?"

Lizzy went back to staring out the window, lost in her own thoughts as she waited for the bell to ring. She gave off a feeling of distance, that she was from a different place, or more specifically a different time. Lizzy had never been talkative, even during her early years in her village, but being here made her feel out of place, a feeling she did not like. The red-haired girl let out a sigh as her blue eyes turned a little darker, hoping to distract herself of thought of the past Lizzy made a little floating fire and messed around with it as it floated there; keeping her mind preoccupied.
