Fantasy Academy De Feast (Reboot)

"Pour a drink, sir...?" Fan asks with a confused tilt of his head and a hard blink. "We students have not learned your name, mister, and you do not know ours," he awkwardly transmits with a twiddle of his thumbs. "What should we refer to you as, sir? My name is Fan, at least, and... I am a nature spirit." The spirit places a pale hand over his heart.

"I do not partake in human substances, sir," shaking his head while warily eyeing the humidor, "but... are we to study fluid mechanics today, sir?" the merboy happily asks as both his azure eyes and the ghostly orb brighten up. "I would love to learn more about liquids, for they belong to my purview as a nature spirit," he explains with a small smile.

Fan blinks once, twice, thrice as he processes the elder rune. "I see... I take it that you will teach us of how to integrate knowledge of fluid mechanics into occult defenses against those 『entities ineffable』?" the merboy queries with wide eyes and a tone betraying wonder. "This is a very advanced school indeed..."

"Wait your both still here? I'm drawing this thing because I'd rather not get ambushed by some weird creature that looks like a poodle turned inside out." He remarks, finishing up the strange, broken star symbol on the board.

"Now instead of science, I'm gonna begin teaching defense against shit that wants to kill you. Probably gonna help you In life than 'science', or whatever they call it." He says, making obvious air quotes around the word science.

"Lesson one, Shub-Niggurath. If you find yourself being covered in a strange black snow. Take a shower, you filthy animal. Otherwise you will die a horrible death. Class is over now, do whatever you want. I am gonna rip this bong hard enough to trip the smoke alarm." As Old Man Henderson says this, he removes the lampshade from the glass sculpture.

Fan reaches into the blue purse slung around him and produces a white notebook whose covers and pages are wrought of paper-thin, impossibly flexible, unmelting ice. With pursed lips and a serious expression on his face, he uses an unnaturally precise, finite-length jet of water to engrave upon the ice-page a transcription of the glyph on the blackboard, as well as notes regarding 『Shub-Niggurath』 and what do do in case the black snow rains.

"My specialty as a spirit is helping people in their everyday lives," the merboy eagerly tells with an optimistic smile, "and safeguarding them from environmental disasters both natural and mystical is part of that. If I do see some black snow, I will try to divert it with some twists of space and then wash away the rest with water," he promises with a cheerful mental voice and a swish of his piscean tail.

"Thank you for that lesson in supernatural science safety, mister... ummm... I still do not know your name, sir," twiddling his fingers once more. "That was a swift class, but I am sure that the lesson will help save lives some day," telepathic voice grateful and encouraging.

"I do not know of what you are to do with such a device," gesturing over to the bong. "It looks to be an apparatus of 『air, fire, and water』, and only one of those falls under my province as a spirit," he admits with a small frown. "Nevertheless, I would like to broaden my knowledge as a nature spirit. If I can learn more of the ways the elements of air and fire dance with water, then this will be a very productive post-science-class lesson in science." The merboy's frown turns upside down, and the ethereal orb near him sprinkles a bit of water upon his head.

"Henderson, just call me Old Man Henderson." He says.

"This device is called a bong, it's used by humans as a smoking device. The water acts as a filter for the smoke. Can you even smoke at all? I'm pretty sure your incorporeal. Eh, what do I care." Upon remarking this, he puts his mouth to the lip of the tube and begins to inhale. Clouds of thick white smoke, like tendrils of some small sea creature, flow through the water. After a solid three minutes of inhalation, Henderson finally removes his mouth from the tube. Exhaling a cloud of smoke large enough to render the whole area surrounding his head completely opague.

"Much better." Says Henderson, sitting back in his chair.

"Water nourishes nearly all living creatures, just like Ms. Rosey said," gesturing over to the other student present with a hand that grows shrouded in cool mist for a few instants. "It is fascinating to see how... how..."

Fan's eyes grow wide as the water bubbles, churns, and gives birth to, and the spectral orb hovering by him likewise flares up for a moment. "It... it looks so pre~tty, Mr. Henderson," his psychic voice slow and drawn out.

"I can perceive its scent superficially, but... is the synthesis of air, fire, and water supposed to produce some sort of mystical effect?" The nature spirit asks with great curiosity dripping from his words. "It almost seems like 『alchemy』. But you are correct, sir; I cannot partake of this alchemical concoction due to my 『incorporeal nature』." The merboy demonstrates as he places a hand straight through his bare chest, forming ripples not unlike a pebble upon a lake's surface, before swiping the hand through his desk.

"Well kid, you're right, it does take more than water fire and air. It also involves earth, which is where the scent and smoke comes from. And I'm pretty sure this strain is called something like mystic blystic so your probably not that far off on that point. Hey other kid, wanna hit this?" Henderson says, gesturing to the other student present.

"It seems more like plantlife, under the element of wood or nature, to me." Fan tilts his head, and as he summons up all his will to turn his gaze towards the weed rather than the roiling water, the ghostly rainbow speck seems to distort the very space around it.

"Ms. Rosey, you are a nature elemental, right?" the merboy telepathically asks. "Do you know if this plant really is something called 'mystic blistic'? It sounds like a very rare alchemical reagent..." he conjectures with great wonder in his mental words. The ghostly orb around him emits a faint mist for a few moments.

"Well, if our science class is over now, Ms. Rosey..." the merboy begins in a curious tone while setting the ice-notebook back in his purse, "then what is our next class?"

Fan floats up from his invisible "seat," heads over to the actual seat by the back wall, and gingerly places it by the desk. "Whatever it is, I would be happy to come along with you and learn by your side again," he tells the nature elemental with a gentle smile.

Rosey stood, and looking atop of him and Elsa also followed. "Our next class is... it seems English is next." She says smiling.

"English is not my native language," the merboy admits while looking up towards Rosey and Elsa, "but I will do my best to speak and write it well," he swears with a hand over his heart.

Like a fish in the ocean, Fan swims outside of the classroom, through the corridors, and into the classroom for English... but does so by Rosey's side, shooting nervous glances towards her every so often as though to check she is still there.

As they reached English, they noticed the teacher has not yet arrived and walked in, with Elsa not far behind. Rosey sits in the front, and Elsa sits behind her.

"Rosey." Elsa said tapping her shoulder. "Where's the teacher."

"No idea Elsa." Rosey said a bit suspicious.

"Ummm... is the teacher for English being late supposed to be a normal occurrence in this academy?" Fan anxiously queries mind-to-mind with a tilt of his head.

"Should I perhaps linger outside of the classroom and try to search for the teacher, Ms. Rosey?" he offers with a wave of his hand towards the door that distorts space and sprays out a thin mist, "Or should I simply... behave and 'sit' by a desk?"

"I believe I will try to search for our English teacher, then..." After taking a deep breath that causes the orb floating by him to shudder, wobble, and freeze the air around it, Fan slings over his purse upon the desk beside Rosey's to "claim" it. The merboy then swims upon invisible waters out of the classroom, notes the name and number of the room, and aerially swishes into the academy's corridors.

The nature spirit wears a lost, nervous expression on his childlike face as he searches around for anything that resembled a faculty room, or at least another teacher. His azure eyes buzz around as the mer scans the corridors, and his watery, elfin ears pan around like radar dishes. Perhaps he might bump into a helpful student along the way...

(Ok im just going to jump in and hope it works out!)

Cordelia hesitantly looked up at the school in front of her. Clutching her sheep skin satchel in her hands she pursed her lips together and then let out a long sigh. Looking at some of the others around her she felt out of place and well...a little exposed. She couldnt help that her village clothing was a bit more minimal than more modern and cultured clothing. She pulled her shirt tighter around her as she walked up to the front doors Her body was starting to ache in this human form of hers. It took ages for her to learn to keep her serpentine body tucked away. As her bare feet padded on the concrete she pulled the bottom of her dress down a bit further to cover more of her slender blue body. When she walked in she was happy that no one seemed to be looking at her to much. For gods sakes the whole trip here thats all she was receiving. People asking her about her skin color and the tattoos that cover much of her left side, it was all but a pain really.

Cordelia walked through the hallway clutching a piece of paper with her room number on it. But it was starting to get hard to focus while trying to keep the form she was in.

"Dammit.."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe, pressing on when she was ready again.

A sudden flash of light happened in the courtyard, revealing a yellow haired boy with very simple clothing on. A smile on his face as he looked up, directly staring at the sun for some reason; "Thanks pop!" yelled the boy at the sun before he brought his head back down and started to walk around campus, trying to find his way around. He brought the flask from his side and began to drink from it as he moved, not really paying attention to where he was going as he walked down the hallways.

A two toned blue eyed girl with long red hair walked into the classroom; no readable emotion on her face as she made her way over to a seat near the window. She was very quiet, not making any noise as she moved; Lizzy was not one for talking, but was not shy in the slightest, nor did Lizzy give off any signs of shyness. The clothing she was wearing gave off the feeling that she was not from around here; the clothing being lined with some type of fur, clothing that looked like she belonged somewhere colder.

Cordelia looked for her classRoom, the hallway She was in was currently empty thOugh. She didn't mind though, since she needed a breather.

"For a healer Im horrible at keeping myself healthy"

Hey native accent was obvious when she spoke, since she had onlY learned English recently.

Suddenly a bright flash came through the hallway window and it startled her so Much she Lust grip of her binding power. Hey legs have way to a long, slender serpentine tail. She was now at least 15 ft long from her waist to the top of her tail, and now about 6 ft tall when sitting up.

"lovely. ..just lovely. ."

Her Dress was now a bit scrunched up since her tail wad pretty thick but at least it didn't rip.

Fan aerially swims and rounds a corner to continue his search for the faculty room, or at least a helpful teacher. The expression on his face and his quivering elfin ears both betray worry and hesitation.

Once he espies the towering, looming, serpentine figure in the middle of the corridor, the childlike merboy's azure eyes widen in surprise, and his jaw goes slightly agape. The naked nature spirit reflexively backs away in the air, and the shimmering spectral speck near him dims its chromatic light.

"E-Excuse, miss naga or lamia lady who looks like a certain local goddess of healing..." Fan nervously communicates telepathically, in the manner of a mouse intimidated like a lion. "Would you happen to, umm... know where the faculty room is? My English classroom is missing its teacher..." The little boy weakly gestures with a cold-fog-shrouded hand over to the corner he came from. "I am sorry if I am bothering you..."

Softwer stood at the front of the school. She knew she would have a better time here. No one would think of her as a monster, theoretically. She did have the though that people would looked down on here because she was technically a human. However, she had the will and courage to walk into the academy. At the front office, she received her schedule with her dorm and locker key. Since she came a little late, she went over to her second class, which was English.

Fan fearfully shirks away from the naga/lamia girl and zooms back like a sailfish towards his English classroom. He notes the presence of the newly arrived girl with the wolf pelt, raising a blue eyebrow and tilting his head, letting loose a few drops of water from his liquid-like hair.

The nature spirit once again "takes his seat" next to Rosey by setting aside the physical seat and opting to float before the table instead. The childish merboy turns to Softwer with a small, wan smile and telepathically transmits an unconfident-sounding, "Good day to you," his voice feminine and winsome, like that of a little girl. "My name is Fan, and I am a nature spirit." From behind his table, the mer performs a graceful aerial loop and a bow, and the ethereal, one-centimeter-wide orb orbiting him brightens its radiance for a brief moment.

"What is your name, miss?" he psychically transmits with a mix of bashfulness and curiosity. "And, ummm... I hope this is not offensive to inquire about, but what is your species? Are you some sort of shifter?" Fan asks with a hand gesture towards the wolf pelt; a cool fog that warps space emits from the little boy's forearm and hand for a few instants. "Either way though... we are both new to this school, and I hope we can be friends," he tells with an endearing, amicable smile.

"I would be glad to offer you any of my spiritual services," the merboy gently offers with a hand over his bare chest.

(Sorry I didnt get the chance to reply to you @Agata :( Finally was able to get back online!)

Cordelia let her body adjust to the weight of her form and rolled her shoulders, making small popping noises. When she heard noise she looked up quickly and noticed a young boy that was floating in the air. He had an ethereal presence about him and it made her shrink away a bit. Especially when he brought up the fact that she had a resemblance to an old village god, that always made her uncomfortable and it reminded her of her status back at home..one she didnt want here as well. So she looked away from him for a moment and just as she was about to reply she noticed him take off. She sighed.

"Im not going to make friends easy here.."

She shook her head and turned her body to start moving down the hallway. One of the main reason she avoided this form in places like this was the fact that she has accidentally tripped people with her tail and seemed to cause traffic. It was embarrassing and she couldnt help when it happened.

(Pelt! That's what it's called)

Softwer was in the English room, and she looked over to see the first non-human she seen, a weird fish boy. That fish boy is floating, and not wearing clothes. She then heard him say stuff, but strangely in a girl's voice while not moving his, or maybe her, mouth. "H-hello," she said to the fish person while stuttering," m-my name is Softwer." The nature spirit asked for her species. Not wanting to reveal her true species, she lied by saying," oh y-yeah I am a s-shifter, a w-w-wolf shifter." She then continued with," I do h-hope that we can have a g-good time here and even become f-f-friends. As your s-services, w-what is it exactly?"

@Agata

After putting away his flask, Alexs' focus came back onto walking through the hallways. Not much seemed to be going on, and not many people seemed to notice the boy; he looked very simple indeed. After walking through the halls for a while, he came across the sight of something scampering away from a girl, well a naga of some sorts. The blonde boy walked up to Cordelia and waved at the girl, "Hey hows it going?" asked the boy casually, talking as if he had known the person even if this was there first meeting.

@MorticiansDaughter

"It is nice to meet you, Ms. Softwer," the nature spirit greets with a small wave of his hand that almost seems to stutter and repeat itself thrice in a bizarre form of deja vu.

"I have heard that wolf-shifters can be very nice people to be around," Fan begins to compliment with a small, gentle smile on his fair face. "They protect their families and cooperate as a pack with great efficiency, so they are much like humans in a way," the young-looking mer muses with a tilt of his head to the left, then to the right.

"As for my spiritual services, well... I am the the 『Nature Spirit of the Ocean of Space and the River of Time』!" the mer proudly proclaims in the style of a kid trying to uplift his own self-esteem. The diminutive, phantasmal orb around him flares up with cool colors, and shimmering arcs of water that distort the space around them flow around it for a few instants.

"I can help you with all kinds of things. I can enchant you to complete your homework faster, slow things down when you require more time, teleport you or your belongings, scry distant places, transmute for you truly scrumptuous soup, cool you off on a blisteringly hot day... and more!" Fan repeats his exact same, practiced pitch from before, and it still comes off as pleading.

The piscean kid begins to condense the water vapor in the air into a series of moving images of mist that visually depict whatever he explains. "All you must do to send a request to me is to place on a table a vessel of clean water, a timekeeping device such as a watch or a sandglass, and a space-measuring device such as a ruler or a compass, then state your request politely and aloud with good intentions," the merboy explains with a cadence that suggests he is doing everything he can to make the deal sound sweet.

"It should be related to water, space, or time, and it should be something someone could do in just a few hours. I will be sure to complete it as soon as I can, and the three items will teleport themselves to whoever in the world needs them most," he elucidates humbly, though Fan's quivering piscean tail suggests tension.

"You can only send a request to me like this once per day though... and it is not as though I can just take requests from someone asking me in person or through a phone, because a nature spirit can only grow with that special rite... okay?" the merboy adds forthrightly, both hands over his heart.

"I have another kind of service to offer, but that one is a bit more advanced. Unless... you would like to know more about it too, in case my services do not sound good enough, Ms. Softwer...?" The child directs towards her a desperate, expectant look, eyebrows downturned and elfin ears anxiously twitching.
