So, I was looking at the first thread and some of the characters posted there. What is the power limit of this campaign? Are we esentually gods; battling each other? Or are we working together toward a common goal?

I guess my initial thought was that we would be weak, but gain power as the story progressed. And are demons good? Bad? Are angels good? Bad? I'm a bit lost.

Can you help me understand the setting better?

Yes and no.
Some characters will gain power. Some characters will lose power. Others are already powerful.

For example, archangels, giant kings, some dragons, and royal demons are already very powerful. However, we could also have arcs of characters losing their powers or characters becoming more and more powerful, like a normal human learning sorcery.

I dunno how powerful powerful is, but, I plan on having a mostly physical fighter-type character, who is fairly adept at his unique style of martial arts.

But non-magical powerful is also there. I'm also considering making a Hound-like character. Because I like the Hound.

My character will have zero magical abilities. His power will come from striking the enemy. Being frog like, he'll use his strong legs for kicks, and sticky tongue for maneuverability. He'll also have the ability to ooze a slime like substance from his skin and tongue to protect himself, mostly against cutting, but also works against grapples. Dunno if I should give it some magical protection too. I don't know if there will be so much magic that, despite being a powerful physical fighter, he could be taken down easily with magic? Depending on that will determine how much magical protection I give his slime-stuff.

I definitely don't think Dr. Strange levels of strong. I'm thinking more like a Spider-Man. Someone who's already very physically strong, but become even stronger using momentum from swinging. Except it'll be from a tongue instead of web And the slime would act something like a protective suit. Obviously not identical, just a comparison for reference, I suppose?

I'm the most patient person in the world. I'm still waiting for my first friend. Patience is a virtue.

On a serious note though, even if it seems like it's taking a while, group RPs tend to move slower than 1x1 RPs, a lot more moving parts. He's still replying to the thread with regularity, so we know he hasn't abandoned it. Just give him some time
