I use Discord for voice chat mainly. For gaming. Mostly with my roomie. It's soooooo much better than Skype or Teamspeak.

Idek what Teamspeak is xD but yeah, it's better than Skype. There's an RPN Discord Server, and I have 3 servers for RP OOC, others for gaming (not saying how many, it's a lot), one for a clan for Smite, and then others just for random bullshit -w-

Gamers know what Teamspeak is. It's a free to download and use, third party chat program, not unlike Discord and Skype. Another popular one, at least back in the day, was Ventrillo. There are a few others, but I can't remember them. They've either died, or it's been too long for me to remember. So, like, three minutes.

Teamspeak used to be my jam back in the day.

Welp, thanks for making me feel old. :'(

I'm just teasing. But, you might be a bit young for that. It was pretty big before Discord. One of the largest chat programs for gamers, if not the biggest one. I dunno statistics though.

I see o-o I didn't get super big into gaming until recently though, so that might be why. I've played mmorpgs since I was 5, but I never really played with others. I just used Skype and then Discord. o3o

Skype was another one of the big ones. Skype was great for small calls. Teamspeak is closer to Discord, meant for larger gaming communities. I've never used Ventrillo, so no idea about that.

I've only used Discord with other Pokemon Go! users so I can find out where people are raiding in my city. :P

But I'm also new to this site, so I haven't had the opertunty to use it here yet.

And I will agree to disagree that it's better than skype or teamspeak.

Teamspeak is useful when playing MMOs and gaming online. Skype is useful when I'm table top gaming and one of our players is half way across the nation, or can't make it cause their sick, etc...
I wouldnt say Discord is better or worse, each app each has their advantages!

Just carry a speaker in your pocket. Whenever someone asks to see you play, turn on your speaker and air guitar on your actual guitar. It's like lip-syncing. Totally a thing, everyone does it. My great nana did it.

3 months from being adult enough to legally drink. Also finished up my CS.
Hope all goes well with Darkiplier's music lessons. We've left them quite a bit of banter catch up on!
