Fantasy A Union in Chaos

"Jacen?.......Oh yea, I did say we were starting today." Ari summoned the White Rose. Wind swirled around Jacen, healing his wounds. "Well look, Arabelle's been kidnapped by some monster and taken to another dimension and we're heading to the Draconian homeland to figure out a way to get her back. Unless you want to cancel our training session, you have to come with us. You could use the experience anyways."
He took the boxes. "You have my thanks........and I'll have to thank Raziel too, though he doesn't seem like the type to be accepting gratitude." He looked inside the boxes

(What's in them)
The first box, from Jacen had a book called 'Vicavorausan or Deaavh! Udahok avo becomaumn avhe beukav aav ukwordfighavaumn.' and under it was the title written in Rivannian 'Victory or Death! Guide to becoming the best at fighting.'

latest

The second box, from Raziel had a small, golden and decorated phial with a weird, spiritual liquid inside. It radiated with energy. And had a note written on it and attached, clearly written by Raziel himself. 'May this fine brew serve you well in the time of despair. WARNING: Use this only when you need help with something'

First Ari looked at the book. "This must be where you get your techniques from. I'll read through this."

He then looked at the phial after reading the note. "Hell, I need this now........I'll keep it on hand though." Ari attached the phial to his necklace

"Well look Jacen. Are you coming with us? You certainly know how to handle your own."

Jacen Rosenthal

He looked at Ari, a smile painting on his face. His altruistic behaviour could be felt with it. He respectfully nodded and responded "Master, it is my duty to come with you." straightening up into a nearly military-like pose. "And an honor too." he added shortly afterwards, clearly thinking for a second on what to say to Ari. "By the way master, that book is one of a kind. It was written by my great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather and has been passed down from person to person since then. However we have many other family heirlooms, so I think it's going to be a good gift for you. Besides I have a copy." he would add. If it really was that old then the book must be worth a crazy lot.

He wasn't sure what to think. He loved dragons, and only by the will of his master did he harm them...but having a dragon in his favor seemed nice. He was ready to go on an adventure! Saving the world, that was fun, but an ADVENTURE! For his own personal reasons, that's what he wanted. "Yes. Let's go. I am ready to repay my debt." He said. He had tripled his shields, not enough to survive more then one attack from an angry dragon, but hopefully enough to escape if it came to that. "You are sure she won't...uh finish what she started right?" He held down part of the collar, revealing a bunch of scars across his chest, from fire, and a claw mark that swiped from shoulder, to who knows how far down. "I just got out of the last hit. An inch closer and I would be gone. Anyway let's go." @DarknessSpirit

Morrigana allowed a smirk to creep up her lips as you could obviously here the doubt in his tone. "I guess we'll just have to see how it plays out." Morrigana said cooly, turning and heading outside.

He did his best to show the horror on his face, but following her anyway. "Oh that's a good one. Always...always making jokes..." He was ready to get out of there if needed...hopefully the witch didn't turn on him.

Ari was taken aback. "I can't take a family heirloom.......at least not the original. Won't your family feel some type of way about you giving it away to some outsider?"

He chuckled in the 'You have no idea what you're talking about' way. Then he said "Truth be told, my relatives could not be less concerned about that." with a still quite respectful, but rather cold and chill voice. Then he returned to his normal expression and said "In any case, the original is not original either. This is as close to the original as you can get, though. The real one... lies in embers."

Morrigana started to enter some darker looking woods. "Not a joke. I do hope you will not rely on me to keep you safe, if you make a move. I will literally eat you. Got it?" Morrigana said cooly and bluntly, continuing to walk, abd she spoke without looking at him.

"Oi, Arabelle. Has that guy done anything else? And we have a lot of newcomers, one of which adds a little too much drama to this event."
Ari studied the woman for a second. "What 'services' do you offer?"
"He's told me he would bring you here if I didn't stop crying. He told me my parents are worried about me."

"I used to work in a brothel but it closed, so now I go door to door." she told Ari.

Jacen looked at her with a weird face. He's never seen a prostitute before. "Wait, what?" he said, then walked over to Ari and whispered "Master. You've just got married, don't fall for her." to him.

@Kylesar1
Ari scoffed. "As if I'd ever fall for that. Sex worker clients are supposed to come to her, not the other way around."

"Bring me there for what? Some kind of weird demon sacrifice ritual? Going there is kind of our objective here."

"Well I ain't interested and I doubt anyone in this team is interested. We're all about to leave for an important mission. You have to do something more than you've been doing."

"I don't know. He won't tell me anything."

Elisabeth frowned and looked towards the next house. "Alright. Thank you." She was getting discouraged, she needed work and couldn't get it.

"As long as he isn't hurting you........we're still getting you out though."

"We're getting on a pirate ship. We all know pirates are the biggest customers. You ain't getting any business going door to door. In fact, if some married man comes to the door, I'm sure his wife won't be as polite. You could end up dead."

"I don't have any other way to get money." she told Ari softly. She sighed and looked down at her feet.

Sontar Bluesteam

Sontar was reckless, perhaps stupid to think that he should jump out right now. In any case, his hand was getting really itchy to take Waesmor right now. He sighed and thought Whatever then jumped down, dust spraying under his feet. Before you stood a rather tall, masked figure, in a hood and with some armor. Sontar unsheathed his katana and said "Which one of you two is Ari Waesmor?" looking at Jacen and Ari, unsure which one was his target.

Jacen Rosenthal

Jacen looked at Ari, with a confused face, but did not respond. He would not betray his master to protect his own life. "If you mean us harm, I shall show you no quarter." he said, unsheathing his own sword.

Sontar looked back at him and responded "You can either fear my visage, or intentions. You don't have to fear any if you are not Waesmor."

"Give me a moment, Arabelle. Some assassin wants to kill me, if you can even call him an assassin."

Ari grabbed the other woman's hand and threw her inside. "Come, Primrose." The sword came to his hand. "I'm Waesmor, and I don't have time for this."

"Ari be careful!" Arabelle exclaimed, getting very worried about her husband.

Elisabeth was surprised when Ari pulled her back and put her hand on her dagger in case she was attacked.

Sontar Bluesteam

He shrugged. He had his sword in one hand, but with the other he neared for something on his belt, but you could not see for what, as it was on his back. He would take it in his hand, but not reveal it. "That's bad. I am afraid I cannot care less. You don't stand a chance against me, though." he said. He was waiting for Waesmor to start out the fight, but did not make that clear. Only someone adept at tactics could see that. "Now fight me." he added.

Jacen Rosenthal

Jacen looked at Sontar, then rushed at him, trying to slice him once. Sontar parried the attack, then kicked Jacen in the chest, pushing him back next to Ari.

Jacen looked at Ari and muttered out "Ouch..." clearly as a sign of pain.

"I'm alright." he responded. Then Jacen looked at Ari. "Master, let's show him what we're made of." he said, giving both him and Elisabeth a polite, but nearly cocky smile. He twirled his blade around, to get a better grip of it in his hand, then looked forward.

Sontar Bluesteam

He tilted his head a bit, hearing what Ari said. "Really? I am the assassin. I am here to kill you. Whether you come for your death, or I come to bring it to you is my own choice to be made. If you walk away, you will not pay attention to me. That's when I am most likely to strike." he said, trying to pull his attention off of his left hand. He was clearly doing something behind his back with it, but it was unclear what. After a second, it stopped moving and it looked as if he was ready to do something, but he still waited for Ari to make the first move. "Are you scared of death, then? Or just don't like facing it?" he asked.

SANDRO

Did she just threaten to eat him? "Wait what? You-I don't think you're allowed to do that...and listen if she attacks I'm leaving! Please don't stop me I can't hold you and her attacking at the same time. " despite himself he kept walking. "Do you threaten to eat people often?" Of all the threats he'd gotten from a human, that was the strangest. @DarknessSpirit

"Master, there's something behind his back." Misty was floating behind the assassin. Ari had summoned her, then she disappeared after her report.

"Jacen, do your thing. He clearly underestimates your skill."
Ari only struck in self-defense. Striking first was ended after he made his contract with Szelanya. Ari had his shields up for whatever the man had behind his back. This seemed like a battle of attrition if anything

Sontar looked at Ari, then said "You don't treat me as an actual threat, do you? But you don't know anything about me." with a rather curious voice. Then he said "Foolish are those who fear nothing, yet claim to know everything. Brave are they who know everything yet fear nothing... it's in a book." with a chuckle afterwards.

Jacen rushed at Sontar again, as Ari ordered him to. Sontar would move his left hand out, revealing...

absolutely nothing, but Jacen did not see yet and he turned his head back, standing in a protective pose, to stop anything that could harm him from hitting him. After a second, he noticed nothing happened and continued, but Sontar with his other hand pulled off a lightning spell, on Jacen who did not have time to protect himself with anything, as he was too busy looking away.

Jacen, with his nerves shocked by the lightning spell of moderate power, dropped on his knees, nearly paralyzed.

Sontar rushed at Jacen, but when he neared him, instead he jumped on his shoulder with one leg and used it to gain momentum. He jumped high into the air, swirling his sword around several times to give it speed, momentum and strength in a hit that would proceed afterwards. Wings grew out from his back and thrusted, pushing Sontar even further, giving him incredible speed. Sontar used all of the force he had, to cut Ari combined with the speed and way he was hitting, the hit had enough force to literally cut a heavily armored person in half. @Kylesar1
