Overview for A Tale of Two

This RP is based in the viking land of Kventer, in the capital city called Rurdstag, located in the North of Kventer.

Kventer: The South, North and West of Kventer make up forested land, much of which has never been touched, many areas are isolated and the West, especially is known as a land where goblins, orcs and dragons all live, roaming in the lands, brewing up evil and terrorising viking villages. Whereas in the East, the lands are filled with treacherous mile-high mountains that never seem to end, until you reach the lawless, rocky coast of Kventer, where few live except for 'The Outsiders', a twisted bunch of self-proclaimed Anarchist thugs, thieves and so-called 'wildlings'. Not many go there, unless they are looking to find a wooden pike where their head can sit until it rots to the skull.

Lore on magic: All vikings except The Outsiders and the Evil kind follow the religion of Ulthe'Kaws. Which follows the God of the World, named Ulthe and the Goddess of Life, Death and the spirit realms, named Kaws. Within this religion are priests (magicians who also do religious ceremonies and live a lawfully good life), the common follower (any viking whether good or bad in moral and ethics) and the magician (a viking trained to evoke elemnts from the spirit realm and bring them into the physical realm, they cannot however contact spirits). The magic of Ulthe'Kaws is that of evocation of the four natural elements, these elements are: Fire, Water, Air and Earth. To learn magic, one must attend the Magician's School located in Rurdtsag.

A little extra lore on the world of Kventer (important): Ages ago, there was a guild called the Yearg that were given the task to guard the harmony between the Evil and the common Vikings. The Yearg were presented with so much power, that they, being as greedy and selfish as all humans are, they wanted power. They were extreme nationalists of Kventer. Always wanting to do good in power and to make Kventer more powerful, they sided with the Evil, seeing them as large beats with great might and the capacity to rule forever with their strength. This resulted in a split between the Evil and the Vikings. Some of the Evil did not agree with the Yearg and travelled to the North and South, where they could coexist peacefully amongst the Vikings. The Vikings bear no hate towards the good Orcs, Goblins and Dragon, yet deeply hold a passionate hate for the Yearg who influence most of the Evil to hate Vikings.

That was how Kventer was for a while. Until the Yearg were killed off and only a few managed to escape the purging of them and hid in the deep forests of the West, supported by the Evil that agreed with their views. As the Yeargs in hiding continued to grow as a family throughout the years, they continue to, every two-hundred years, take control of the West and lead the Evil to war with the Vikings, it is now overdue for another Evil Yearg to reign the lands of the West, many suspect they are gone yet also many still believe that they are making a much greater force of Evil to destroy the Good in Kventer once and for all. In current times the 'Evil' hold a current neutrality, as they always do when the Yearg aren't in power, the cons of this neutrality are that there is no stable relationship between the two and some of the 'Evil' still pillage villages and towns of the Vikings. These times are dark and many are hoping that Kventer will be saved from the Evil Orcs, Goblins, Dragons and Yeargs once and for all.

The roleplay starts as the two, who eventually become the best of friends and adventurers meet at a tavern named "The Runes' Reading" located in Rurdstag.
