Realistic or Modern A Summer to Remember

Tommy had just moved in across the street. He bit his lip and got dressed in the most fashionable clothing he could find. Tommy was eager to meet some new people.

(Sorry for short post, idk where to join in)

"We are heading to...a liquor market?" Elliott said, not really knowing what store they were heading to. "I'm Elliott, the patron of this event," he laughed, adding a goofy bow for kicks, "I suppose you can join. Seems like everyone is. You guys can spread the word." He smiled eagerly, not really worrying about anything but the moment. This was so different from the droll pace of monotony back home. " I call shot gun!" he yelled, moving toward the closest driveway filled with a singular Jeep.

Delilah pulled herself from Kai's grip in order to climb into the backseat, pulling on her seatbelt before slipping her feet underneath her. This possibly wasn't the most logical idea to visit a liquor shop however she wanted to see what would occur.

Kadyn saw a well dressed teen coming towards the group. She approached, making sure she was moderately straightened up before saying hello. He seemed nice... "Hi, I'm Kadyn." She waved kindly at him. He was well kept, unlike herself in her post run state, still. She usually looked nicer. She would swear on that...

Tommy smiled as the girl introduced herself, "Well, it's nice to meet you Kadyn. I'm Tommy Ross." Tommy grinned, waving his hand kindly, returning the gesture.

He liked to charm girls whether he knew them or not and this was the perfect time for him to do just that.

"I'm new." he stated. " Do you mind if I asked you to show me around?" Tommy asked, looking at her reddening face. He took a step closer, towering over her with 6'4 build, careful not to burst her personal bubble.

@Lightning Quick

She smiled kindly at him, oblivious to his intentions at that moment. "Actually, me and the group were going to go and get a couple of drinks and stuff. If you'd like, I could hang with you there?" She offered him a hand. She was tiny in comparison, but she didn't seem nervous at all. If anything, she was sorta amazed by it.

"Lead the way." Tommy replied, smiling down at her small figure. He carefully took her delicate hand into his, careful not to hurt hers.

Tommy watched as she looked up at him, with as if, a sparkle in her eyes. He smiled genuinely, his lips nearly not noticeable, curving up.

Tommy liked the way she walked, as if a passion burned in her heart but had to have withheld it for so long. He liked being beside her, she smelt of a nice fruit, and a hint of perfume. She had nice flowing blonde hair and warm brown eyes. She had little makeup on, but would look nice either way.

With his left hand in hers, he took his right and used his fingers to comb through his dark hair, trying to hide a smile.

@Lightning Quick

She ever so slyly glanced back at him. She liked his eyes, warm and trustable. She's always loved brown eyes on others rather than on herself, they felt nicer than her own, more personable. "So, where are you from?" She asked with the slightest tilt to her head as they made their approach. It was a subconscious thing, and she never realized she was doing it. A lot of people said it made her more pet like that way.

They hit the group getting into the car. She looked tommy over "you miiiiight need to sit on a chair rather than on a lap..."

Kai slid in next to Delilah, quickly invading her personal space once again as he pressed against her to make room for everyone else. His usual goofy smile was still plastered to his face. "Hurry up!" He called to the others, urging them to get in the car already. "You all can get to know each other over drinks later, but we have to get them first!"

Drees contemplated on joining the group of teenagers, but they were heading towards a car. And he thought he heard liquor, if he wasn't mistaken. "Liquor market?" he asked. Then he realized that he was within hearing range of the group and he pursed his lips, looking down. He probably shouldn't have spoken. Gosh, he was so awkward when it came to people. That was why he barely socialized. Because people were going to notice how awkward he is and then ignore him. "Sorry," he muttered.

Tommy saw her eyes dart to mine, studying it slyly, before returning her gaze to the path in front of us.

Tommy laughed internally at her trying to be sneaky.

"Seattle, I was born there. Never left until recently when I moved to Arizona." Tommy told her, reminiscing over his past, swinging their connected hands back and forth, a playful gesture.

Tommy cocked his head to the side as they approached a vehicle, a group of teenagers his age filling it.

"I'm glad I don't have to sit on a lap," Tommy laughed at her comment, hoping maybe she'd sit by him.

"Hey guys, I'm Tommy Ross." Tommy introduced himself coolly, as he nodded his head, as a gesture of him acknowledging them.

"Is it not called that here?" Elliott asked, turning around to meet the gaze of the one who questioned him. It turned out he was right about the lurker joining the group. He heard a muttered "Sorry" and immediately frowned.

"Nothing to be sorry about. Come on." he said, pulling the guy into the backseat. He was squeezed in next to Kai immediately, but it was rather roomy in Kaede's car. He'd have to ask about the dealership when he got around to getting a less flashy vehicle for himself. Hearing Tommy's full name started a giggle fit withing the chest of the Englishman.

"Tommy Ross...cue all jokes about buckets, blood, and Sissy Spacek's tampons." he mumbled.

Michael had trailed behind the group to the jeep.

"Nice ride." He muttered under his breath. It looked a lot nicer than his shitty 90's truck.

He had lingered behind the group, noticing the level of rambunctiousness in some, and silent awkwardness in others. Michael would have preferred to stay behind and let them go get the alcohol while he sipped on some more beer, but riding in a jeep sounded like fun. And maybe he could convince it's owner to take it off-roading after they got the liquor. Michael took one last drag of his Marlboro, and tossed it. He stayed close behind while they all piled in the jeep. He hopped in the back, beside Delilah and opposite of Kai. There were some manners Michael had never learned growing up in the South, and personal space was one of them. He plopped his rack of beer at his feet and squeezed tightly between Delilah and the side of the jeep.

Michael didn't feel cramped, and he had too good of a buzz going on to consider if he was making it too cramped. Michael glanced around the jeep. He counted four people in the back. "Boy it's hot. How many more people you plannin' on fittin' in here?" He asked the driver.

Drees looked at the guy that pulled him in and shook his head. He did not want to get included in this. "N-No, I can't do this. I can't join you in buying alcohol." He wanted to get out, but more people kept coming in. He felt like he was going to be sick. But not physically. Maybe mentally. If he puked, he'd feel so embarrassed, anyway. He looked at the guy and gave him a look that begged to get out of this car, however that looked. He just hoped he nailed it. But if he was going to stay, he hoped his father wouldn't notice. The guy could get angry if Drees accidentally chews with his mouth open, let alone go to a liquor shop.

Kai's eyebrows furrowed as he watched the British smoker from earlier have a laughing fit at his side. Tommy Ross? It didn't sound particularly strange to him. He leaned back to create some space between himself and the man, throwing an arm over Delilah's shoulders the same way he'd done to their blonde driver earlier.

"I don't get it!" He whined loudly. He wanted to be in on the laughter too. "What's so funny?"

"You're not buying the alcohol, I am." Elliott said, monotonously. The guy seemed rather scared of sitting next to him, so he scooted over to the side. "You're welcome to leave, no one is keeping you here. But, let me ask you this? How many opportunities have you passed out on because you're scared of what your parent's might think or something to that matter? If you live your life on the safe side all the time, is it really worth living?" he looked the blonde guy in his eyes while he asked the question, his grey eye's like hardened silver. "I want to be your alibi." he said, lowly.

Drees sighed and leaned back. This was not happening. He rubbed his forehead and gave up. The guy was right. He should take this opportunity for once. But he resisted a laugh. One part of the guy's little speech wasn't right. Drees never had any opportunity. Maybe if he tried to be in one of those big, popular groups, maybe he'd've had better opportunities. Yet again, his parents didn't approve of those people. "Alright. Fine. I'm staying." There was a grudging tone in his voice, but it wasn't showing that much. Damn, that guy knew how to convince him.

KAEDE ALLISON FLETCHER

Swinging the driver's door of the jeep open, Kaede hopped into her seat. Her forgetful father had left the keys in the ignition, as usual. Twisting them and turning the engine on, the blonde switched the air conditioning on after hearing Michael's protest against the stuffiness of the vehicle.

"However many more want to come, pretty much," was Kaede's response to the Southerner. She had no doubts that the spacious and slightly older modelled Jeep Wrangler could fit everybody inside, albeit with a bit of a squeeze.

Matt watched them pile into the jeep and winced. He didn't want to be squeezed next to someone and he certainly didn't want to go to a liquor store. He was torn between being 'friendly' and trying to fit in or doing what made him comfortable. He wondered what he would do if he stayed by himself. Probably nothing interesting, but that wasn't really a problem for him. He gave the cramped jeep one last look before walking back towards the lake.

Tommy stood next to a guy who clearly looked uncomfortable. Tommy sighed and put his hand on the guys shoulder, "Try not to think about it, it will be fun." Tommy advised as he headed over to the vehicle. He climbed over the seat and sat in the back, quickly settling himself in before someone else could grab the spot. He pulled out his phone and waited for the engine to start.

@Shadow

Kadyn climbed in, sitting on the floor at the back seat between the seat and a bunch of legs. She's not afraid of small spaces, so this wasn't bad. Add that to her flexibility and she was gold. She rested her head against Tommy's knee and kept her gaze up towards the front seat.

(OOC stuff goes in the OOC tab, guys.)

"Cool, brah," Kai grinned at the boy two seats over from him, glad to have a new addition to their crew. To be honest though, Sir Britain was kind of scary. Kai stuck a little closer to Delilah as though he wasn't already in her space enough. He wasn't about to let it get to him, though. He found himself nodding at Tommy's encouragement. "Yeah, we're gonna party! But don't let this big lolo convince you smoke or something, because that's trouble..." He shot a wary glance at the man sitting nest to him.

Tommy smiled as Kadyn layed her head on his knee. He was surprised she was small enough to fit.

"How tall is everyone?" Tommy announced randomly.

Tommy liked to be spontaneous and get to know the people around him. He'd heard that they were buying liquor and Tommy had a 20 in his pocket, he'd show them once they would arrive. Hoping to pitch in.

Tommy watched as people began to get settled in, waiting for their response.

Kai's free hand shot up into the air like the eager student in class everyone teases. He actually wasn't much different from that kid, beside the whole active-participant-in-school thing. He was teased a lot, though he always thought it was all in good fun and never took any of it to heart (if he even recognized it). He reached his arm across the bodies sitting between them to wave his hand in Tommy's face. "Oh, oh! Pick me!"
