Realistic or Modern A Summer to Remember

"What the hell is a lolo?" Elliott asked, glaring at Kai speculatively. "Is there a cream for it?" followed up. Without warning, the Hawaiian was waving his arm, subsequently rubbing his body all over Elliott. "Geez," he gasped, caught up in the whirlwind. At least he smelled like pineapples. "So, I'm Elliott...the lolo. What's your name?" he asked his blonde counterpart, trying unsuccessfully to push Kai off him.

Matt chuckled at one of the guys' comment. "Yeah, thanks." He said, smiling a little. He slowly backed away, towards the lake. Since most of the teens were already in the jeep, he hoped no one would notice that he was leaving. For the most part, he didn't mind trying to be friendly but he had his limits. He hated the smell of cigarettes and several of the guys smelled strongly. He ducked behind a wide tree and leaned against it, breathing deeply as a breeze blew past.

Kai laughed loudly, the sound filling up the rear of the car. His elbow pushed the man back into his seat, fighting off his resistance. He kept his hand in Tommy's face, even as he explained to Elliott what his Pidgin slang meant in standard terms. "A 'lolo' means crazy or stupid, or crazy stupid, you haole---that's a Caucasian person, by the way."

Drees laughed at both the lolo comment and the guy bother the guy that had pulled him in, which he just found out was named Elliott. "Well, people call me Drees, which is my last name. I prefer it over my first name, Hardy." He gave a slight smile in Elliott's direction. "Nice to meet you, Elliott." He wasn't completely comfortable around here, but he should at least speak and try to fit in, right? Oh, how many times the popular groups had wanted him in and he had refused. They all loved the jokes he made in class. And he was so stupid to say no. Now was his chance to do something 'cool' even though he knew he'd regret it later.

Tommy watched as the group interacted. He watched as the group connected and introduced themselves.

"Hey, Drees." Tommy greeted him, "I'm Tommy." Tommy introduced himself.

He looked down to Kadyn, and started playing with her blonde locks.

Kai sighed as Tommy ignored him, seeming to already have forgotten his earlier question. He brought his arm back to his side, making the "Shaka" symbol with his hand. He smiled at their new friend. "Aloha Drees! I'm Kai."

"Likewise..." Elliott choked out, being pummeled by Kai's desire to be heard. 'I swear, I never wanted a younger sibling. And this is probably why.' He thought to himself. They were still waiting on the boozemaster to appear with his faux ID. "Kai...my ear." he groaned after the Hawaiian almost blew it off with his mouth.

"How long is the drive?" Tommy asked, tilting his head back and closing his eyes.

Tommy was wanting to get out of the cramped car and get something to drink.

He wasn't much of a drinker but he didn't mind it.

"Oops, sorry," Kai apologized sheepishly, almost like a child scolded by his mother in public. He really hadn't meant to speak so loud, but it always happened when he got excited. Once again he found himself leaning heavily on Delilah's small shoulders in an effort give Elliot some space. He didn't seem to like Kai much. "Um, so, where are you all from?"

Xavier heard the people talk inside the van, his foot moving at rapid speed to catch up with it just in case it left. His hand gripped the side of the door as he looking inside. There seemed to be no available seats and he scratches his chin awkwardly. "Where can I sit?" He asked, looking at the people who seemed to be to busy with their own conversations.

Kadyn shrugged "don't know. I'm comfortable right down here, though" she smiled as he toyed with her hair. She loved it when people did that. "Anyone here actually from the area or is this meet up purely coincidental?"

"My uncle invited me to his lake house, I was just exploring the area."Tommy said sleepily. "Then Kadyn kidnapped me." Tommy joked, gently pulling her hair. "I'm from Arizona though." Tommy added, twirling her hair.

"Do you mind if I braid your hair? Or..." Tommy whispered in her ear, his hot breath hitting her neck, he bit his lip, stopping playing with her hair until he had permission.

(*Bangs head against tablet* Three pages and I can't keep up.) Delilah flattens herself against the window as Kai crowds into her personal area, struggling to make herself as miniscule as possible. It is absolutely humid in the Jeep and Delilah can't help but feel as if she is somehow trapped, unable to move or think. She places her head in her hands in an attempt to ground herself, inhaling and exhaling deeply.

Woah there tiger. She looked up at him "you can braid it" she smiled cutely at him, pushing her hair into his lap and waiting for the car to get a nice on. This waiting was killing her, she wanted to get a move on to get the party started.

We really should. She's gonna be either pissed or thoroughly surprised when she sees how much we've gone on without her. xD
