A Strong Refusal

Taking a dog plushie and holding it close, Dean started to make it bark before showing it to Daddy Sammy and Daddy Cas, "Doggie!"

Nodding, Castiel smiled warmly, "Yes it is, Dean. Good job."

Sam smiled back at Dean, and picked him up, giving him a loving cuddle before he gently sat him back down on the floor.

Blushing a bit from Daddy Sammy's cuddle with him, Dean squirmed happily before crawling over to a pile of child-friendly Lego blocks. Plopping down on his bottom in front of them, the green-eyed man started to make an airplane, before pouting at his Daddies, wanting them to play with him.

Unable to resist to Dean's pout, Castiel made his way over to the Lego blocks, picking one up and examining it curiously, then starting to make the plane's wing.

Sam smiled and decided to join them, sitting down beside Dean, and helping him pick out the blocks he needed for his plane.

After a while, their plane was done. Scooting a bit back and getting a better look at his plane, Dean giggled and clapped his hands, proud of their work.

Grinning, Castiel ruffled Dean's hair, "It looks great, Dean."

"Okay, then. Let's go get you a yummy snack, shall we?" Sam said as he picked Dean up and held him on his hip, as he headed to the kitchen, and sat him down in the highchair.

Entering the kitchen, Castiel sat beside Dean, smiling warmly when the green-eyed man smiled and started to babble to him. Nodding along, the angel felt his heart warm and he couldn't be more glad that they continued doing this. Even if it was different than initially planned.

Patting the tray of his highchair, Dean waited patiently.

Sam smiled as he placed a small plate of toddler-friendly snacks and a sippy cup of juice on the highchair tray, gently ruffling Dean's hair.

Taking a sip of juice, Dean started to eat his snacks, getting crumbs everywhere and being quite messy in the process.

Giggling at Daddy Sammy's teasing, Dean made grabby hands once the taller was done, wanting out of his highchair.

Sam smiled and gently cleaned Dean's face, before he lifted him out of the highchair, holding him in his strong arms.

Gurgling, Dean smiled softly at his brother before closing his eyes and leaning his head against Sam's shoulder.

Frowning a bit, Castiel said, "I...have business to attend to, Sam. I shouldn't be gone for too long." Walking forward, and placing a kiss on Dean's forehead, the angel really didn't want to go.

"Oh, uh, that's okay, Cas. I think I can handle him on my own for a while." Sam says, as he gently rubs Dean's back and bounces him a little, being careful not to upset his tummy.

Hearing Daddy Cas was going to leave, Dean frowned and turned his head to see the angel, "Bye Daddy..." he babbled sadly. At least Daddy Cas said he was going to come back, and that meant he promised.

"Goodbye, little one. Be good for Sam, okay?" the angel said, with a serene tone in his voice, before vanishing with the sound of wings the only evidence of his departure.

Yawning, Dean rubbed his eyes and whined softly, before slipping his thumb into his mouth and saying behind it, "I sweepy, Daddy."

"Okay. You need a nap, anyway, buddy." Sam says, as he carries Dean to his toddler room, and gently lays him down on the bed, making sure the rails are pulled up.

Snuggling in blankets, Dean held his teddy bear beside his pillow to his chest, slipping his thumb into his mouth before falling asleep.

Sam smiled as he stood there, watching Dean sleep. He had to admit that his brother was pretty adorable, like that.

A few hours later, Dean awoke and sat up, feeling the squish of his diaper beneath him. Taking his thumb from his mouth, the dark-blond hugged his teddy bear to his chest, before looking up and seeing Sam reading a book in front of his bed.

"Hi, Daddy Sammy..." Dean said sleepily, rubbing his eyes.

"Hey, Deano. Did you have a nice nap?" Sam asked, as he walked over to the bed, and lowered the rails, so he could sit down.

Nodding, "Mhmm," Dean giggled at the feeling of his squishy diaper and scooted closer to Sam, leaning against the taller and nuzzling him.
