Dice A Stricken World

What victory? Someone kill someone? ( O.o )

I just dont understand how you can heal 5 pts of health with a roll of 3

Dont you have to roll to see if the spell works?

@merle The dragon looks at you and it's majestic presence forces a Wisdom save from everyone. The DC is 17.
Failure means you are frightened of the dragon and cannot move closer to it.

The dragon chuckles at your comment.

"My my, you're a brave little crow. I suggest you flap off elsewhere, or I'll be forced to... remove you from this situation. A talking bird, though? That's a neat little trick. Tell me the name of the wizard that spawned you, so that I may pay him a little visit."
Should we use our Bravery skill modifier?

... Damn, Past Me knew what the hell he was doing. Yeah, why not? Whenever a dragon uses their Frightening Presence, use your Bravery skill modifier (it's basically your Wisdom modifier, anyway).

It's all a trick to lure the enemy into a false sense of security. Then once they've used all they have beating us up, that's when we'll strike (x_x)

Hey, everyone. I would recommend putting a little header in your posts with your character's name, hit points, and initiative just so it makes figuring out combat easier. It lets everyone know whose turn is next and allows the healer(s) to know who to aid.

Also, we don't have a real healer...

I should have made a cleric... (o.-)

That's okay. 5th-edition parties are specialized to not rely on clerics specifically often. That's why Bard and Paladins have a lot more healing spells.

True. Looks like I'll be learning Cure Wounds ASAP. :D

Our paladin friend has only posted once so far and hasn't logged in for over a week. I'm not sure he's ever coming back. Also, Ferox (@Aviendha) has an initiative equal to Lilliana, so you're up.

(Totally fine. I'm making an update and deciding where I want this adventure to go, so feel free to attack if you haven't done so already. This isn't meant to be a hard encounter.)
Lol! Not a hard encounter... only two casualties in the first round so far. (@V@)

Hehehehehehehehehehe but seriously, though. The goblins are ridiculously easy to kill.

Speaking of which! Whenever I have you guys face a new enemy, I'll put the super basic stats stats (AC and hit points) on the Lore tab so you guys can do more complete posts. Adding Goblin and Goblin Shaman stats now.

@SnakyDragon, you can either quote the post to see the code firsthand, or you can search the BBCode guide in the tutorial forums to learn it. Or, you could just look at this:

Code:
[side=right][font=Book Antiqua][b][size=5]Escad[/size][/b][/font]

[progress=100]Health: 8/8[/progress]
Initiative: 16
[accordion]
{slide=Information}[b]Name: [/b]Escad Van Opthorne

{/slide}
{slide=Stats}[b]Strength: [/b]10 (0)
[b]Dexterity: [/b]12 (+1)
[b]Constitution: [/b]10 (0)
[b]Intelligence: [/b]10 (0)
[b]Wisdom:[/b] 10 (0)

{/slide}
{slide=Proficiencies}[b]Hit Points:[/b] 8 (increases by 1d6+constitution modifier per level)
[b]AC:[/b] 12 (cloth armor, dexterity bonus)
[b]Animal Handling:[/b] 0
[b]Arcana:[/b] +1
[b]Athletics:[/b] 0
[b]Bluff:[/b] +4 (+1 if the person is female)
[b]Bravery:[/b] -1 (selfish)
[b]Diplomacy:[/b] +4 (+1 if the person is female)

{/slide}
{slide=Inventory}[b]Cloth Armor:[/b] 11 AC
[b]Rapier:[/b] 1d8 dmg
{/slide}
[/accordion][/side]

The part to pay particular attention to is the "side=right" at the very beginning. That initiates the whole thing. The other part is the "accordion" and "slide" - which I think is great for sidebars, but I can't stand full page ones. I prefer tabs, but that's just me.

@TheGrimPickler, it's your turn. And @Sohisohi, if you want to come back. Otherwise it's back to me.
