Archen? Are you saying it lowers your opponent's stats?

The Pokemon Archen.
It's ability lowers it own stats when it reaches half hp.
The stats lowered are it's Special Attack and Attack.

It doesn't really make sense, but I can accept that as a tradeoff. It's just not a logical conclusion as its worded. There's no change in the pokemon to indicate this, so I didn't understand why it would take less damage as a logical conclusion.

Just make sure to include that its attacks are halfed, but it takes half damage and yer golden. Status effects aren't included.

So with pancham's intimidate, it's lowering its opponent's damage by 1? So if someone lands a dark move on you, pencham would take 4 instead of 5?
Pretty much. A super effective (psychic, flying, fairy) move will do 4 damage, a normal one will do 3 and a not very effective one would do 1

Oh no, it doesn't take less damage. It deals less damage. If this pokemon were to attack at half hp it would do less damage than originally.

Okay, lemme know when you've got yer last ability thought up. :P

I feel like we're at a misunderstanding XD.
Archen attack and special attack will decrease.
When Archen attacks a pokemon hmmm, let's say Bidoof.
If normal damage to the bidoof was four, the Defeatist Ability would make
it so that the bidoof only takes half the normal damage. So instead of
losing 4 HP the bidoof would instead lose 2 HP from having taken the attack
from Archen. So Archen does not receive less damage but when it attacks, it deals less damage.

In other words, this ability is negative all the way around has no positive effects.
The ability only takes effect when the pokemon (Archen) is at half health.
So with her total health at the moment being 12 at 6, her ability activates and her
damage output decrease by half.

I was thinking: Typhlosion: Blaze : If Typhlosion's health is 1/2 or lower in a battle Typhlosion's fire type attacks do more damage (nothing too extreme, just to reflect the extra edge it usually gets when it is low health)

So for Murkrow I was thinking either super luck (Murkrow rolls 2 10d dies and takes the higher number for the first 2 turns , allowing said move to have a higher chance of landing/crit potentially.

Or insominia: Immune to the sleep status

Abra: Not sure, if it is synchronize if Abra gets a status condition like poison, paralyze or burn, the pokemon that inflicted the posion, paralyze or burn will get said status effect as well. (I think it might be alright since status conditions will be on the rarer side of things anyway)

(Not sure what I could do with Inner focus as an ability as it just prevents flinching.)

Marill: Thick fat: Greatly reduced damage from fire or ice type attacks.

(Any ideas, questions, comments or concerns, or even clarification, feel free)

lol, if that's what you want man. xD

I figured it was like a cornered fox ability. Where arch would become harder to kill under half hp. You have my blessing. I assume your first post is the version you want implemented into the op's list and your character sheet?

Lols, it's not what I want really. It's just the only ability this pokemon has (WHICH SUCKS). You can read about it here XD.

Blaze can boost your typhlosion's fire damage by 1 when its under half hp. When it's under 25% its moves will do +2. But you only get one activation, so choose wisely.

Super luck allows you to modify your dice rolls? So if you roll a 8, then you have an 80/20 chance of succeeding?

You may choose either for abra. They're both equally acceptable. I forgot the move that does double damage with a status effect but that's all i can think of lol.

Thick fat: -2 damage from fire or ice attacks

If that sounds acceptable, you may do the edits to make them sound prettier. If not, we can discuss them further.

what a lousy ability lol. But it sounds fun for rp purposes. I'm going to add approved abilties to the ooc's original post.

Okie doke.
And what Super Luck does is increases the chances of a pokemon making a critical hit.
In this case, let's just say super effective.
We can also modify dice roll to do include crits, but that be a bit tidious.
So how about first 10d is to see if it attacks lands, and the second 10d is to see if it's a crit (super effective).

Loki777 Loki777 Don't know if you were limiting the ability to two uses. You could possibly make
the odds of getting a crit via dice roll lower since crits are not in play when battling.
So maybe a 20 sided die for a crit where 1-14 is regular dmg and 15 - 20 is a crit.

Just wanted to add me two cents XS

Final:

Typhlosion: Blaze: Boosts fire type move's damage by 1 when at 50% or less health. At 25% or less fire type moves do +2 damage. Only one activation.

Murkrow: Super Luck: Uses a 20 sided die 1-14 is regular damage 15-20 is a crit, Can be used on any two of Murkrow's turns, during a battle.

Abra: Insomina: Immune to asleep status condition

Marill: Thick Fat: Fire and Ice type attacks do 2 less damage on Marill.

How much damage does a crit do? I'll edit that in.

Bacon is fluffy Bacon is fluffy Perhaps in this case the crit does +1 damage for this particular ability?

It makes sense for now, as Murkrow is only a basic pokemon, don't want the boost to be too high for a basic stage 1 pokemon.

Perhaps for Honchkrow it is +2 just due to hitting harder, and more effectively.

Lel cute is a great compliment in my eyes. Much better than beautiful, which is a given when a girl is attractive. It takes a certain quality to be cute :3

RIP Heatwave, never forgetti
I'm probably going to rework stunts a little, so they don't drag things out too much. But that demonstration was necessary. Since both you and scrub can use it to either end the fight quicker or defend yourselves.

:P
