Cool, we just have to see what scrub and bum say.Bacon is fluffy I would like abilities honestly.
Yes, you may re roll for both hits and I will make my gm post after you've mended your post.Bacon is fluffy ah due to that heatwave should I roll another die and see if I need to update my post?
Now we wait for scrub's response.
No, talking about abilities that affect pokemon in battle. Now we wait for scrub's response.
I'm not too keen on abilities, are we talking about special things our pokemon can do such as sandshrew being able to swim without being hurt. Or is this along the lines of rain dance? never considered them before, so it wasn't a big deal to me. But since my players seem to like it, I'll need a run down of what they actually are, especially in this context. I'm sure they'll have to be custom made.
Ofcourse, regardless of what scrub says. We won't be implementing them until after the first double battle.
Dreamtique Welcome dude. If you need a to know the sitch, lemme know.
ezzz 3 ez 5 meMuch better roll :> Now to fix my post.
Sorry I didn't mean to say raindance, but the only ability I know of is the one where certain pokes can move faster while its raining. No, talking about abilities that affect pokemon in battle.
An example being Sap Sipper when a pokemon is hit with
a grass type move, the pokemon gains hp opposed to damage.
I'm only teasing you. 50-50 was a bit too much for move success and failure. I'm thinking of upping it to 70-30 to see if a move succeeds, but we will have a vote after this battle.Bacon is fluffy pffft, I'm just glad you let me Reroll with the new rules, though I would have been fine if you didn't.
The more player characters I have, the easier it will be for me honestly. I won't have to create so many npc's to make up the competition's wide cast, since my players will represent that international diverse feel that I was going for at the start. Although this doesn't mean I'll simply slack off now, but it does mean things get easier with more players.Hi!
I had my eyes on this for quite awhile now, but I am a little busy lately, so yeah.
I'll go to bed for now, perhaps I'll post something tomorrow when I can.
Abilities could spice things up a little!
Bacon is fluffy
So before I leave I got a few questions.
How many players are you planning to take? If you are planning to accept a relatively large amount of players, how are you planning to manage the storyline/ battles/ competitions and stuff like that?
I think you're talking about swift swim, and there's no sandslash/sandshrew capable ofSorry I didn't mean to say raindance, but the only ability I know of is the one where certain pokes can move faster while its raining.
if it's that simple, then it shouldn't be too hard to implement. Ofcourse each will be tuned on a case by case basis. Only previously implemented abilities will be usable without being checked first.
Well, in the manga. Abilities such as Pressure causes the opposingYeah also some abilities wouldn't work like abilities that make moves cost more PP unless we found another way to implement them.
Then it's settled, we'll go forward with abilities.I don't mind abilities, but only certain ones, like ones that work with the rules of battle.
Like intimidate lowers attack by 1 for a few turns or something.
I'll start on my post after reading bum's post and your editted post lol.Bacon is fluffy Heh, fixed my post ^^
lol I was making a reference to the pokemon anime where there was a literal sandshrew who could swim. xD It's in my op I think.I think you're talking about swift swim, and there's no sandslash/sandshrew capable of
having that ability. The only ability it can have is Sand Veil (not including it's hidden ability)
which ups it's evasion stat when it battles in a sandstorm. For the most part,
abilities only are effective in battle with the exception of a few being suction cup
which helps with fishing a pokemo (in game atleast) and others.
Why thank you ^^! Glad you like it.Bum Bear Good idea~, Also I meant to complimenting you on your posts, you post quite well, and your bb coding is pleasant~~ ^^
Yay Abilities! Then it's settled, we'll go forward with abilities.
Okay fellas, ladies, and artificial intelligences I have good news. Since scrub consents, we will go forward with the changes to abilities. You all will post them here first or pm me if you prefer, with your desired ability and how to implement it within the rules of the rp. If it's acceptable, I'll add them the op as a list of approved abilities.
Defeatist is a worded a bit weird. That sounds like you're lowering your own stats, but then the actual ability lowers damage taken in battle. Why thank you ^^! Glad you like it.
Wanted it to be user friendly >u<!
Can't wait to interact with ya character!
Yay Abilities!
I'll update my CS and Post Layout!
But here's are the abilities:
Bewear: Fluffy: Halves the damage taken from moves that make direct contact, but doubles that of Fire-type moves.
- Physical attacks that make direct contact with the pokemon is halved. Does not include physical attack moves like Earthquake as it does not make direct contact. However, fire moves become super effective. Fire direct contact move become regular damage due to fluffy which cancels out the fire.
Aerodactyl: Rock Head: Prevents recoil damage.
- Attacks like take down does not cause recoil damage.
Carracosta: Solid Rock: Reduces damage from supereffective attacks.
- Super effective moves does the same damage as regular moves.
Archen: Defeatist: Lowers stats when HP becomes half or less.
- Attacks don't hurt at full capacity: (half normal damage)
No, it lowers the (Archen) pokemon's attack stats both spA and regular attack. With a decreaseDefeatist is a worded a bit weird. That sounds like you're lowering your own stats, but then the actual ability lowers damage taken in battle.
So with pancham's intimidate, it's lowering its opponent's damage by 1? So if someone lands a dark move on you, pencham would take 4 instead of 5?Cool, so I was thinking...
Ken, the Blaziken:
Speed boost: Can attack twice for the first turn
Jotaro, the Pancham:
Intimidate: Lowers opponents' attack by 1 for the first 3 turns.
...Dunno about Levi yet. I'm working on it...!
Archen? Are you saying it lowers your opponent's stats? No, it lowers the (Archen) pokemon's attack stats both spA and regular attack. With a decrease
in attack power wouldn't it make sense that moves don't hurt as much?
