Fandom A pokemon adventure ooc

Write up the rule. Give me the conditions for what this extra 3 damage would apply.

When a move is super effective, it inflicts more damage it would normally do. The damage that's dealt will be 5. For example, a move like Megahorn used against a Psychic-type Pokémon will be super effective because Bug-type moves are super effective against Psychic types. This effect can stack up; for example, a Pokémon that is Rock/Ground-type and is hit by a Water-type move like Surf will deal extra damage, the damage that is inflicted will be 6...
Taken from wiki, modified, because I am on my phone :p

Sorry about the fuss, at this point giving the 4xweaknesses a +3 damage is only a formality, I hope that's still acceptable to some degree!

It's k, I did it myself and made a change log thread in fandom extras if anyone is interested in it. It's not going to be hugely important or anything. Just a log for any combat rule changes.

Dreamtique Dreamtique
Just to clarify things for you, Unrelenting Force was a stunt that combined Boomburst and Dragon Pulse. UwU (and definately not a reference to Skyrim in any way)

Also, imma get a post up later today. Just been rather busy with labs and tests. Maybe Rue and Jaz will inspire more trainers to help by standing up to the terror. Viva la resistance. :coolshades:

I'm not terribly keen on there being x2/x4 damage, or HP shredding moves without rp modification honestly. Bacon is fluffy Bacon is fluffy Other wise some stuff would get SWEPT WAY TOO FAST like what was discussed.

We'll test it out only. It can easily be taken out if double effective moves are too much. Dreamtique pushed hard because he wants to make my npc suffer. But if it turns out that it's way too much. It can always be revoked. Believe me when I say this, I don't want x4 for the same reasons.

I'll make note that you are in opposition of it.

As for shred, I'm firm with you there. I'll throw dreamtique a bone and give double effective moves 5(2 from super effectivity, 3 for the double effectiveness)extra damage, but won't allow shredding. We're not league of legends. We're not stupid enough to give an adc health shred and crit rate lol

purplepanda288 purplepanda288 ill send something after class.

As for the rest of ya, I'll make a post in later tonight. I didn't realize al three of my opponents went already lol

Well that's sort of what I wanted from the beginning. Finally someone using a stunt to make their own unique move lol. Well uniqueish. Skyrim nerd

Lol. Very true tho.

Actually I am fine with double super effective move dealing 6 damage(+2 from s.e. another +1 just to kinda let you know double s.e. is there) instead of 8 to reduce the OPness. As I mentioned that extra +1 is just a formality to make things look more consistent. lol
But the final decision is up to the rest of you and GM really.

So are that kind of 'hybrid moves' still count as two separate moves like you mentioned?
EDIT: Nevermind, I think I get it now.

Haha XD well I couldn't help myself when I had Dragon Pulse and Boomburst. Especially now that he is facing off against a dragon...
"But there is one they fear. In their tongue he is Noivern, Sound Wave Pokemon.. FUS RO DAH!!!" *Skyrim theme plays*

Nocturne is all about mixing up moves with stunts. :3 which Im sure he will demonstrate when taking down the dragon.

We'll see. I'm not so much worried about what I do, but rather how I do it. Depending on what I do, can really shape the rest of the rp. It really wasn't supposed to be like this lol, but it's come to this because of my blood thirsty players. e.e
I thought everyone was defending themselves or someone else!? :-_-lines:

See, you're actually thinking way too small here. Lemme give you an example of what runs through my mind without any filter or consideration.

Let's suppose that viper actually loses. That these are indeed his Pokémon and that the mob boss of the island goes down.

That would lead to collective cheers, right? It might even lead to a party and celebration. But if the herd which is held back by fear of the attack dog, now is running freely without constraint.

Even with his henchmen being present on the island, would lead to chaos. Because now those same thugs who were afraid of viper, now are willing to start claiming territory on the island. This leads to in groups, out groups, tribalism and other fun stuff like looting.

This all stremming from the big dog keeping them all in line, looking weak and unfit to take care of the situation.

Of course, now I can't do this. But it was necessary to illuminate this possibility in order to correct you. :)

Good lord you have a twisted imagination. I LOVE IT

oof. :ghostxx:
Ah, I see what you mean m9.

I guess you could say we are a tad eager for battle (like all rpers... let's be honest ;P), but in our defense our characters wouldn't know the significance of this person. From an OOC perspective it'd be daft to attack an uber-leet trainer like Viper but all (I believe) of our characters wouldn't know who Viper was. So if they were threatened by a random dude, being of the trainer sort, they would challenge the asshat by showing off their pokemon.
Taking down the top predator of this ecosystem would indeed be chaotic but fighting Viper and winning against Viper are different things. :ghostuvu: As you say, he keeps the snarks and grumpkins in line so I wouldn't think our characters at this stage could take him down. If he is top dog a rag-tag posse shouldn't be able to defeat him.

....
at least not without a training montage and a whole season leading up to the final showdown. Huuah !!
