Naddy opened her eyes, the blizzard was dying.
"Elpis…" she heard Gavreel say. She let go of him and turned around… she saw Elpis held at knifepoint. Her eyes widened, she clenched her jaw and closed her eyes. She took a long deep breath and opened them, a grin on her face. She took a step forward, cracking her knuckles.


"You messed with the wrong Admiral." She let out a chuckle.


In a blink, she was in front of him. She grabbed his hand with the knife and pushed it behind his back, placing him into a lock. She leaned forward, making him fall into the snow. She kneeled on his back, keeping him there. She cant decide what to do with him… break his neck, or break his back.

Naddy was about to break the pirate's neck when an ice appeared right in between naddy and the pirate


"We may need him..." Gavreel said with a calm voice


"Let us head back to the base with him" Gavreel said and looked at elpis


"Are you okay?"

Naddy stared at the ice blankly… she almost killed a man. A disgrace. She scolded herself. She had to thank Gavreel later. Her eyes darter to Elpis, realizing she'd payed too much attention to the man apprehending her.


She stood up and fixed her uniform. She walked towards Gavreel, her head down, embarrassed by her actions.


"Thank you." She said. "If you didn't do that, I might've… I could've…" she shook her head, not wanting to say it aloud

"C'mon, lets go back to the base" Gavreel said


"Thank you for stopping me..." Gavreel said as he blushed


"Well..you mean..um...." Gavreel couldnt spit it out

Nightmare.


For the first time in his life,Alistair was able to detect that the cryptic scene in front of him wasn't real. He had seen that moment in his mind so many times that he lost the account.


His crew dying after Raphael's betrayal,losing their souls to the shadowy creatures. Over and over and over. But this time,something seemed different. They were...calling for him. Alistair couldn't remember what happened in the real world,but he knew that he now had the chance to die or not. The faces of his friends crossed his mind. Gavreel,Naddy. And now Feya. He owned this to them. He had to go back. So he turned away from the nightmare and went back to the real world.


Alistair opened his eyes slowly,taking in his surroundings. He soon recognized the medical room,and the man working on him as the Senior Doctor.


"How...how are the other soldiers?" Alistair's voice was rough as he tried to glance around the room. His eyes fell upon his reflection in the mirror. Damn,he looked destroyed.


"They will be fine,vice admiral. It's you we need to worry about,you have the most severe wounds."





A sense of chill took Alistair's body,and he started to remember what had happened. He searched for Feya,and found her by his side. That caused some comfort,but he immediately felt worried for Gavreel and Naddy.


"I must...find the Admirals. They must be..."


He tried to stand up,but the pain was too much for him to handle. The Senior Doctor immediately chided him,pushing him back to the medical bed.





"Sir,I will strap you to the bed if I have to. But you need to stay down."

Gavreel blushed more but the coldness from the blizzard he made earlier made it impossible for anyone to see it.


He did not dare reply to naddy and just continued walking towards the base while dragging the pirate.


Gavreel looked at the frozen houses and facepalmed by how much damage he have done.


"Father will kill me for this" He thought to himself

"He'll… understand." Naddy offered him an excuse. She crossed her arms, keeping herself warm. "No civilians were hurt, and we can fix this." She reassured both herself and Gavreel.





"We'll need to write down a report, send men to help us fix this…" she made a mental list of the things they had to do as she walked, trying to not keep moving and not stay still. Besides, Alistair was waiting.

"Mm-hmm" Gavreel replied


They arrived infront of the base's gate and gavreel looked at it


"Dear god, what a thing i have done" Gavreel said, he then touched the ice and it melted


Gavreel then Called for some soldiers and handed them the pirate


"Interrogate him" Gavreel commanded


He then looked at naddy


"You deliver naddy to the medical bay, I will rest" He said


Gavreel then proceeded to his chamber, lied down, and slept.

Naddy followed Gavreel's orders. She obediently marched to the Medical Bay. She wanted to see Alistair. She worried for him.


"Doctor," she nodded at him. "How's…" she saw him awake on his bed. "Alistair…" she whispered his name.

Katherine decided to stay back and watch Alistair. Garveel had stormed off and last time she ran after him it didn't turn out well. Plus, another admiral went to retrieve him so there was no since of going. The woman admiral comes in to check Alistair. "Is Gavreel, okay?" she asks.

Elpis was finally released. It feels so nice to breath normaly and don't smell that horrible pirate .

She watched Naddy and Gavreel flirt awkwardly.It was weird to see her two hero , the ones who saved her just talking like that , almost in a ridiculous way .

But she couldn't think of all that . Gavreel and Naddy didn't knew one thing :

​

if they didn't save her , the pirate would rape her , he said it . She feels useless , dirty but the emotion which got the upper hand was the rage. This pirate, touched her in the blizzard. She was humilieted. She wanted to take revenge at all costs, her vision became more and more black, filled by the fury:I wasn't able to do nothing , absolutely anything at the moment.


She went to the room where we questioned prisoner and knocked on the door of the room where the pirate was. She ordered in a cold and authoritarian voice :


" Go out, I handle this man "


The men in charge of the interrogation was intimidated and allowed to pass :


" GO OUT I SAID "


The pirate was still unconscious, that left the time to her to lock the door. She gave a piece of paper under the door and sayed:


" Give that in one of Admiral and say that it is Elpis who send it.


On this paper there was written :

" I am going to kill this motherfucker myself "

Naddy turned to see Katherine. She greeted the officer with a warm smile.


"The Fleet Admiral is fine… he just needs to rest for a while." She explained. Naddy always refered to Gavreel as "fleet admiral" when he's not around. She feels the need to.





"Katherine, do you know what happened to Alistair?" She asked.

"Nope, I've been kept in the dark since I've got here. Heck, I haven't even figured out my way in this bloody place." she laughs a little and places a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be fine. He's safe here and if you got something to do I'll be more than happy to care for him." The navy really seemed to care for each a lot and all she wanted was to be part of that.

Alistair sat up by reflex when he heard the voice of Naddy on the medical bey's door. He fixed his posture to something fitting,trying to appear as professional as possible. It was obviously wounding him to stand like that,but he remained firm.


"Admiral Bernadette...I...it's good to see you. You too,Katherine."





He didn't know that to except now. Would Naddy be angry at him for his actions? He had probably endangered the mission. @MidnightStar @CharmyPie

Garveel and Naddy had always been specially close to him. He allowed himself to fall back to the bed,but kept his eyes on her.


"I'm sorry about today,Naddy." He slipped,not using her title. But at the moment,he didn't mind. "I shouldn't have gone by myself,but I hoped that if I could gather some information or maybe reach that pirate...I didn't want any more soldiers to be wounded. Is...is Admiral Garveel all right? I can feel the chilling in the island."

"We all make decisions." She says, remembering the man she almost killed. "Yeah, the Fleet Admiral is resting… but yes, some parts of Tortuga are frozen." She said with a small giggle. She was just glad that her… that her family, was alright.

Alistair turned to look at the other soldiers,watching their wounds. He had killed many of the pirates in that ship. But would that be enough to avenge them?


"Do you think that Admiral Garveel will take me off the mission? I...I would do anything for that not to happen. I would work extra hard. But I need to be able to do my duty."

Naddy shook her head at Alistair.


"I cant speak for him." She told him. Honestly, Naddy didn't know what Gavreel would do next.





"Admiral Bernadette, Officer Katherine, a note from… Elpis." Officers of Navy called from the door of the Medical bay.


naddy approached them, patting Alistair on his head once…





"What is it, officers?" She took the note and read it. She gasped slightly. "Katherine, let's go." Naddy rushed to the interrgoation room, hoping she wasn't too late.

Elpis did not lie, she killed the pirate. She did not make the effort to torture him either to make him a speech. She woke him, when he saw the smiling face of Elpis he panicked: " Wh-what do ya want kiddo ? Why you looks at me like that?What are you doing to do with this knife? "


Elpis put the knife under the throat of the pirate:


" That does not remind you anything? Her eyes were emotionless


No, no ,do not kill me, Wai- wait. You are going to have regrets, WAI-"


She cut clearly his throat, she did not even take time to clean the blood which already began to flow on the ground. Her clothes were stained with red , her hands too .


"Well now I have to explain the loss of our prisoner to Naddy and to the others. At least, for once, I managed to make what I wanted"


She went out of the room , she wanted to see if Alistair was safe . Elpis opened the door and saw Naddy just in front her with Katherine :


" Naddy ... sorry but i had to do it "

Alistair leaned forward in his bed,standing up. He could feel the chiding of the head doctor,but he had to see what was happening. He nearly fell to the ground but managed to stand,using the wall by his side as a support.


His eyes fell on Elpis as she left the interrogation room. He was confused at first,but once he saw the blood he didn't need any tips of what happened.


"Elpis..."

She saw Alistair coming . He could barely stand on his two legs but that's not why she wanted to cry : everyone looked at her with horror . She tried to smile but only a sad voice and tears came out :


"Eh , everyone want to have a party in this corridor ?"


Her words sounded fakes , and they were . She only wanted to be useful . She wanted to be strong . I will not cry , i'm not a child despite everyone think so , i'll be a part of the Navy . Elpis sighed :


"I regret nothing . Don't worry about me . And hey Alistair , how are you ? "

Katherine glances over Elpis shoulder and sees the dead pirate she heard the brought in. She covers her mouth trying not to gasp at the sight. That girl just murdered the man. She wasn't much younger than her, practically the same age. Her stomach clenches up. She moves from behind Naddy and leans on the wall next to the room so she didn't have to see the dead body.
