A New Home for Jensen

Misha nodded, "Sure." Moving to the bookcase beside Jensen's crib and pulling out a few books, he showed the covers to their baby, "Which one for tonight?"

Sitting in the large rocking chair beside the crib, Misha started to read, saying each word clearly and carefully so Jensen could listen along and understand some of it. While his husband was reading, Jared had grabbed a dragon stuffie and some blankets to give there little one.

Putting them in the crib, Jared softly whispered so he didn't disturb Misha's reading, "Here you go, baby."

Jensen yawned and slowly started to fall asleep, wrapping his arms around the dragon plushie, and snuggling into his warm, soft blankets.

Closing the book once it seemed like Jensen was asleep, the couple stood over his crib and looked on lovingly.

"He's so perfect," Jared murmured, "It's hard to believe anyone would just leave him like that."

Silently agreeing, Misha pressed an affectionate kiss to his husband's cheek, before leaning down and doing the same for Jensen. Following his husband, Jared also moved some stray strands of dark blond hair.

Closing the door, the two men quickly went to bed themselves, tired from a long day.

Jensen woke the next morning to the smell of food cooking. He sat up in his crib and rubbed his eyes, yawning softly.

Thinking it'd be the time for their baby to be awake, Jared left the kitchen were his husband continued to make breakfast. Entering the nursery, the taller smiled brightly at Jensen, "Morning, baby. Have a good sleep?" he asked as he placed the green-eyed little one on his hip.

Jensen nodded, and looked up at Jared, with big green eyes. "Daddy....I pee-pee...." He babbles, blushing a little.

Hearing his baby's words, Jared checked Jensen's diaper and found that it was rather wet. "Thanks for telling me, buddy." the taller cooed as he changed their little one into a fresh diaper, before picking him back up and bringing him to the kitchen.

Turning around and seeing his husband and their baby boy, the blue-eyed man smiled, "Food's just about done," punctuating the statement with a kiss to Jensen's forehead and Jared's lips.

Jensen smiled and nodded, bouncing in his highchair, excitement beaming from his face. He had never gotten this oppourtunity before and was really happy to get to go out to the park.

Hearts soaring at their baby's happiness and excitement, the couple finished their breakfasts and wiped the mess from Jensen's face, pressing butterfly kisses along the way.

Bringing Jensen back to his nursery and taking some cute outfits from the dresser, Misha offered, "Want to pick out your clothes, buddy?"

Jensen smiled and nodded, picking out a pair of shortalls and a cute striped onesie to go under it. Jensen felt proud of the clothes he picked out, and hoped his Daddies liked them, too.

"Nice choice," the blue-eyed man remarked as he dressed Jensen in the outfit before putting a pair of socks and velcro shoes over his feet. Picking up their little one and meeting Jared in the living room, diaper bag and Button in hand, the three brought their items to the car.

Buckling Jensen in his carseat, Jared tickled their baby's tummy before giving him Button and a pacifier.

Jensen giggled and held the bear tight, smiling behind his pacifier. Today was going to be so much fun. It was all about having fun, and ignoring the hurtful words and glances that Jensen knew he was going to recieve.

On their way to the park, the couple worried about the younger in the backseat. The scars and bruises littering Jensen's body were still visible, and both men prayed that no one would think either had done it. Horror lurched through both of them at the thought that someone could believe they had hurt one of the most precious people they knew and cared for.

Pushing the images that swirled through their minds, Misha and Jared simply gave a sad smile to one another as they pulled into a space beside the park. Vivid green grass and a large playground welcomed them.

Removing Jensen from his carseat, Jared sang, "We're he-re!" placing their baby on his hip, he asked, "What do you want to play on first, baby?"

Jensen looked around in awe, and pointed to the sandbox, as there was no one there, at the moment, which meant they'd have it all to themselves.

The three walked over to the sandbox, and sat down inside of it. With shovels, buckets, and different molds to shape the sand in, it was perfect.

"What do you want to make?" Misha wondered, shovel and bucket at the ready.

Jensen looked at Misha and smiled. "Sandcastle." He says, as he plays with the sand, feeling it beneath his hands.

Nodding, the couple and their baby started to work on their sandcastle, making a small moat by making a line in the sand. While Misha constructed the towers of the castle, Jared and Jensen worked together on everything else.

Jensen scooped some sand into a pail, and made the first part of the castle, patting it down a bit, being careful not to squish it.

After a while, the three finished their sandcastle. Pristine and lacking holes and misshapen parts, it was the very definition of perfect.

"Looks good, you two. I think we've got a builder here," Jared said cheekily, winking at Jensen playfully, before assaulting their baby's face with kisses.

Jensen giggled and blushed, a bit embarrassed by Daddy Jared's display of affection in public. But no one really seemed to notice, though.
