A New Home for Jensen

Jensen nodded, and made grabby hands at his bear again. He loved that bear, and it made a great pillow if he ever got sleepy, and was near any pillows.

Handing Jensen his new friend, Misha and Jared watched as their little one played with the large bear. It was far beyond them as to why anyone would hurt such an innocent person, let alone leave with no one to look after them. Faint yet burning anger boiled inside, but the couple kept it inside, knowing it was best to leave it be, for now.

Jensen hugged the teddy bear tightly, nuzzling against its soft brown fur, smiling a bit, as he brought his thumb to his mouth and started to suck on it, gurgling a bit.

Expressions softening at their baby boy sucking his thumb, the couple scooted closer to Jensen, ruffling the soft, spiked hair and tracing the small scars that lined his face.

Clearing his throat, Misha asked, "Do you want to name your friend?"

Jensen looked up at Misha, and nodded. But he didn't exactly know what he wanted to name his furry friend, though. He thought for a minute before opening his mouth and slowly saying, "B---Button....."

"Button? Sounds good to me," the blue-eyed man replied.

Arriving with a pile of soft blocks, Jared asked, not wanting to bother their little one, "How does building a tower sound, buddy?" The taller man was still getting used to be a father/caretaker, and he wanted to give his all. Hopefully he wasn't be a push-over.

Jensen turned and looked at Jared, nodding, and smiling, excited to play with his new family. His old "family" never let him play with them, or even offered to play with him.

Stacking blocks on top of one another, Jared decided it would be best to start to ask things to get to know their baby better. Of course, not pushing in the slightest. The last thing either needed was a crying and sorrowful little one.

"What's your favorite color, Jen?" the taller asked, wrapping a long arm around his partner.

Jensen pointed to a light blue block with little white clouds on each side, and smiled softly, trying to help Jared out with the questions.

"Blue, huh? That's my favorite too," Jared said, smiling gently.

Handing their little one a small picture book with different kinds of animals on it, Misha inquired, "Can you show us your favorite animal?"

Jensen paused for a minute before pointing to a wolf, and smiling. He really liked all animals, but his most favorite one wasn't on the book. His favorite animal was a Night Fury, like Toothless. He loved dragons.

Somehow reading their baby's mind and knowing that wasn't exactly Jensen's favorite animal, the couple left that discovery for another time.

"Do you know when your birthday is, Jen?" Jared asked, brow quirking. He secretly hoped Jensen knew, so that they could celebrate it properly instead of making up a day. But if they had to, that still be okay.

Jensen shook his head, frowning slightly, mad that he didn't know his own birthday anymore. He hated not knowing things.

Ruffling the dark blond hair, Jared smiled softly, eyes warm and bright with affection.

"That's okay. I think your birthday can be yesterday, when we found you. So you know what that means?" the taller man replied lightheartedly. Seeing his lover's slightly confused face, then winking, Jared knew exactly what to do. Once Misha got the memo, and started to give that grin Jared would die for, he praised himself as a genius.

Jensen shook his head. He had no idea what Jared was refrerring to, but he smiled once he saw both of his Daddies smiling, for some appararant reason.

"Since your birthday was yesterday, that means we gotta celebrate it today! That means a trip to the store to get presents for you, and then a cake, and tons of food." the gentle-giant of a man announced. It only seemed right to still celebrate Jensen's "birthday" since, it seemed like it would instead be the anniversary of when they found him in that dreaded closet.

Grinning even more at his husband's excitement, Misha added, "Unless you'd rather just stay here."

Jensen giggled excitedly, at the mention of cake and presents. He never got to do anything like that before, and he couldn't wait to do it with his new Daddies, who he loved very much.

Picking up their little one, and dressing him in a simple t-shirt and sweatpants, since they didn't have any onesies or shortalls at the moment. Bundling Jensen in a warm jacket and hat, along with socks and shoes, because it was rather chilly out. Buckling him into a carseat, giving him some toys to play with and a pacifier to suck on.

Starting up the car, Misha turned from his spot and smiled at the young man behind them, "Ready?"

Jensen nodded and sucked on his pacifier, holding Button in his arms, and smiling, as the car pulled out of the driveway and onto the street.

Arriving at an adult baby store, the three started to shop there first before heading the supermarket later on. Removing Jensen from his carseat, and placing him in a stroller made for someone fully grown, they headed inside.

Walking through the aisles, Jared gestured to all the items lining the shelves, "Anything you want."

Jensen's eyes widened and he smiled, picking out several cute onesies, rompers, shortalls, and a few pairs of overalls with snaps along the legs and crotch, perfect for someone like Jensen.

Admiring their baby's choices, the couple moved to the toys aisle and said the same, "Anything you want." Both Misha and Jared greatly felt like Jensen needed some spoiling in any sense. Neither knew how long the broken man had been in that locked closet, and they almost didn't want to know.

Jensen picked out lots of colorful toys and plushies, smiling happily, as he watched the shopping basket fill up with items. He'd never actually got to go out shopping with anyone before, so this was a gift to him.

Ruffling their baby's hair and pressing kisses along his face, the couple paid for the items and packed all the bags into the car. Sitting Jensen in his carseat, the three left for the grocery store.

"Picked out everything you wanted, baby?" Jared asked, looking behind him and smiling brightly.

Jensen nodded and smiled back at Jared, relaxing in his carseat, and watching the scenery pass by as they headed to the grocery store.
