Appearance [Optional Place to note additional shit]: A gown dyed in bright vermilion, draped in a scarf formed of liquid blood. Sauia's transformation strikes a stark impression. A bloody red stain on the horizon, a sight hardly any more comforting to Sahoe's good people than that of the Parasites themselves. Beneath the scant elegance of her garb, Sauia's body is also warped by her transformation. Her fingers and toes are warped into claw-tipped, parodies of the human form, and her teeth are sharpened to a point, though that's hardly noticeable behind the flowing muffler of her scarf. Temporary Reference.

How does your artifact look when transformed and detransformed: A pale red crystal heart. A deeper shade of red glows within, pulsing in sync with Saiua's heartbeat. When transformed it blossoms into a brilliant shade of scarlet and weeps a steady stream of blood in order to kick start Saiua's magical abilities.

Magical Girl Aspect: Life
Description of your bonded artifact spirit: A white snake which has a habit of coiling around Saiua's arm. Very motherly towards Sauia herself, but tends to disregard the well-being of anyone other than her. Enjoys talking to people regardless, and will often volunteer to deliver messages for her surrogate daughter in her stead.
Granted Powers:
- Primogeneration - In Saiua, Life is embodied in the form of the primordial soup. The slurry of bacterial warfare that occurs every day, invisible to our eyes. The immutable contest of predator and prey. The cycle of decay and regrowth. Through the lens of her magic, nothing is wasted, and all is wanted for. She is able to perform ridiculous feats of regeneration by imbibing the freshly spilled vitae and viscera of other living organisms, as well as use it as fuel to force and empower the natural processes of her body. Besides regeneration, her magic will also increase the production of hormones such as adrenaline, endorphins and cortisol, and force her organs to perform beyond their usual maximum capacity.
- Swirling Maw - Saiua is able to attract the spilled blood and guts of her enemies to herself for absorption. She is able to imbibe blood through her the whole of her body, but the efficacy of it is much lower than direct intake through her mouth. Because of this, once within the heat of battle, a river of swirling blood follows in Saiua's wake, twirling around her body and into her mouth in a manner that resembles a long, flowing scarf. Through Primogeneration her body is able to directly extract the oxygen from the imbibed blood, allowing her to continuously take it in without needing to stop to breathe.
Transformation Info: Saiua's transformation specializes in snowballing. Once she's on a roll, she's incredibly dangerous and hard to put down put she needs to get on that roll first. As dependent on blood as her magic is, she needs to draw it before she's able to become a significant threat. Without a proper pool of blood to draw from she moves more slows, strikes with less power, and is unable to access the more vicious parts of her arsenal. An ideal fight for her is to first battle a number of lesser Parasites, allowing her to pool her strength to begin to deal with bigger threats. When matched directly against a major threat, she's fighting a uphill battle.
Is your relationship with your family good? Why or why not?
Strained. Saiua's parents care for her, as she does for them, but the fact remains that the deterioration of her health is due to a set of circumstances that only arose because they chose to pursue their ideals over her well-being. They did what they could for her, during the onset of her illness, but what she needed was proper medical care, which they were not able to provide while still hiding themselves from the government, it was only once her health deteriorated beyond repair that they bit the bullet and had her submitted into hospital care, and even then it was by making her into an orphan on paper. She still sees them, but only rarely, especially after her awakening as a Magical Girl.

What values did your family teach that you still follow? Why?
Independence. Saiua was taught that every individual was aught to be just that, an individual, not a cog in society's grand clockwork. She is not as fervent in her pursuit of her personal freedoms as her parents, though, and is mostly happy so long as she is left to her own devices. Furthermore, her parents instilled in her a general distrust of others. Where they only seek to avoid the ire of the powers that be, however, Saiua is more afraid anyone and everyone. She is very slow to trust, and only truly has faith in herself as the only person who has her best interests in mind.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
Sauia's parents were very strongly aligned against the government and the regime that pushes the young to become Mahou Shoujo, likening them to child soldiers. Throughout her life, Saiua was led to believe that what they were providing her with by way of her sheltered, secretive upbringing was freedom, but she's recently come to question that. For her, freedom from the government only meant to be trapped within her own body, and the only liberation she's ever felt from that came from the very thing that her parents stood against: Becoming a Mahou Shoujo

Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
During her time in hospital, Saiua's ward was frequented by a Sister from a local parish. She'd bring treats, toys, and other distractions for her and the other children in the paediatrics ward, and during her more stable periods of health Saiua chose to visit her in turn. While never sold on the religious proselytizing she'd entertain there, she did find a rare tranquility when she wandered the courtyard or sat amongst the pews. Since her conscription as a Mahou Shoujo, however, she's been unable to return, and fears what the Father and Sisters present there would think of her visceral, bloody rebirth.

Where do you feel the safest? Why?
The same as above.

What type of people do you surround yourself with? Why?
She's scared of most people, but probably longs for something resembling a familial connection. She also feels a certain amount of comfort amongst the men and women of the cloth, despite the fact that she does not share their religious beliefs.

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
Anyone dangerous or untrustworthy, which her instincts tell her is just about everybody.
What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
Awakening.

As she lay bleeding, another wheezing husk amongst a pile of the dead, Saiua stretched her hand towards a small, foolish glimmer of hope. The corpse of the woman who should have protected them all lay before her, just as faceless as any of them within the gloom of death's cold embrace, and beyond the cove of rubble that Saiua had fallen into an outbreak of Parasites prowled, hungry and hateful. It was where she should have died, hopeless as she was, hardly more than a year before her own body would have failed it.

It just wasn't fair. Why couldn't she have had that much? Why did even that scant shred of time left to have to be taken away? Because fate had decided it? Because someone else had failed her? Again? It wasn't fair. She couldn't stomach it. So, in defiance of everything she'd been taught, she struggled forward and seized the only chance she had left.

She made a heartfelt wish:

She wanted to live.

In one moment, she went from helpless to not. The discarded Artifact of the Magical Girl before her blossomed with new life, and in an instant, Saiua was enveloped in a chrysalis of bloody red. An ichor borne of life's truest form. Her body burgeoned with a strength which it had never known, and her mind was flooded with an instinct trained on one thought and one thought alone. To live. To survive. To, for once in her life, become the hunter.

And there were beasts abound.

How did it change your view?
Before becoming a Magical Girl, Saiua's life was defined by a sense of helplessness. That she was too young, too weak, to do anything to help herself, and that anyone who could've aided her had long since failed to. With her empowerment, she has quite literally been empowered. Her life is no longer on so short of a timer, and she wanted to see more of the world and do more in it. Though, she still needs to pluck up the courage to do so first.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
She wants to make the most of the chance she's been given. She's let herself be complacent before, and it put her on her deathbed. It won't happen this time.
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
Diagnosis.

"The doctors say she'll be lucky if she sees her 18th"

As she lay in bed, heartbeat monitor blipping at her side, Saiua had been entertaining a fleeting sense of hope. Despite their failings, her parents did care for her. She knew that much. They were good, proper adults. So, when the aching in her chest had grown worse, she'd taken their word when they told her that the encampment's medic would be able to help. When she started to wake up to a pillowcase stained red, she believed them when they said that they were doing everything they could. And when they said that they were sending her away because these people would be able to help her, she believed that, too.

So when the doctors told her just how little time she had left, and couldn't believe her ears. Was crying the right response? Because she did plenty of that. What about begging? She'd enough of that to supply a small nation? And bargaining with whatever divine ear happened to be listening? Plenty, too. And yet, no matter how much she cried or pleaded or bargained, nothing changed. Her body degraded further and further, and the only thing anyone could do to help her was slow it down.

She was going to die, and there was nothing she could do about it.

How did it change your view?
She gave up, and was snapped out of whatever version of reality her parents and their people had impressed upon her. Their value, their ideals, none of them mattered to her anymore. She just wanted to live.

It taught her her desperately she wanted to survive, and how sorely she wanted to catch up on all of the things she wouldn't be able to experience.

There was a stray cat she used to feed. It was nice.

Magical Girl Aspect: Violence
Description of your bonded artifact spirit: A monarch butterfly. It has a purple colouration that is atypical of its species. It seems to spread some kind of purple dust as it flies about. It doesn’t talk at all, and seems to only communicate with its bonded human through telepathy.
Granted Powers:
Limited Telekinesis: Yuriko is capable of wielding her weapons free-handed, allowing her to throw, swap, recall, send them as she likes. The telekinesis also vastly reduces the weight of ‘Bludgeon’.
Wreathe: A purple flame coats her active weapons, which vastly increase the physical power of the weapons, allowing it to survive and clash against even Parasites. The flames linger as wounds, reducing the ability of its victims to regenerate through it easily.
'Worldcleaver', 'Worldeater', 'Worldgorer': Utilising one of her weapons, she readies a powerful blow that is meant to be a finishing move. After the attack is executed, she drops out of her magical girl form, and cannot transform again for 4 hours. Their descriptions are fairly telling of which weapon corresponds with which: Worldcleaver to 'Slash', Worldeater to 'Bludgeon', and Worldgorer to 'Pierce'.

Is your relationship with your family good? Why or why not?
Yuriko’s relationship with her family is neutral, in her eyes. She pays them handsomely, and provides money for them. Unfortunately, they don’t think the same. Her daughter and her sister believes that she is a deadbeat mom when it comes to raising her daughter.

What values did your family teach that you still follow? Why?
She was mostly aloof and detached from her family, and only really visited when her father was sick and passed away shortly after. At very best, she attended his funeral as well. They taught her nothing.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
Again, her family did not teach her much, on account that she was mostly away.

Christopher Lowell, Father of her daughter: A one-off relationship that resulted in a daughter. She doesn’t know where he is now, or what he’s doing. He was a researcher in the Elysium Project, but he is unaware that he has a daughter, and blissfully lives his life as a woodworker after retiring from the Elysium Project.

Yamada Yoh, Daughter: 24 years old. Estranged from her mother. Perhaps it’s more accurate to say that she doesn’t even know her mother at all, other than her face, and that she’s providing for her aunt and herself. Yuriko doesn’t think much or little of her, only that she is someone that she should be providing for, financially.

Yamada Yoshie, Sister: 47 years old. Upset with her older sister. She is the more emotionally capable of the two, and while she is thankful that Yuriko is bankrolling Yoh’s education, and providing more than enough for both of them to live comfortably, she is upset that Yuriko doesn’t seem to grasp basic human behaviour. She partially blames the government’s enrollment of 10 year olds into the programme.
Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
In the act of taking a life. Even if she isn’t aware of it, the feeling of killing or fighting gives her some idea of being in control of her life. Lately, however, it hasn’t been quite the same.

Where do you feel the safest? Why?
Alone. Even if she isn’t quite sure of it, it’s because she doesn’t quite understand the idea of trust, and worries unconsciously that there might be someone out there that is gunning for her.

What type of people do you surround yourself with? Why?
Other loyal soldiers of the government, if it can be helped. While there is a non-zero chance that they might try to kill her, it would be quite the fun dance. And if they aren’t, at least she might find some common ground with them.

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
They usually don’t live long enough to be avoided.

What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
As the last body fell, she felt nothing. There was no sense of a job well done, no hint of another fight survived. She had been doing this for near on 35 years now, and the afterglow had been fading quicker and quicker with each sortie. Now, at the age of 49, as she stood atop the bodies of those who had dared to oppose the government, she felt nothing as the blood dried on her blades.

How did it change your view?
Yuriko decided, on that day, that humans were no longer the kind of foe she had wanted to pursue. After so many years, they had become common, they had become boring. She felt nothing. She needed a change of perspective. Maybe a transfer in departments. They weren’t hurting for government killers, after all. It was time she made a decision for herself. The Parasites could offer a better experience, too.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
Not much has changed for her, other than the wish to see if the Parasites had more to offer. If they did, then they’d be her next prey. How exciting!
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
As the last body fell, she felt a feeling she had never felt before. A 16 year old Yuriko Yamada stood atop a mountain of corpses, and in that one moment, she felt that she had a purpose in life. More than just a weapon, more than just a tool for the government, more than her 'programming', Yuriko felt like she had a single touch of control of her life.

How did it change your view?
Ever since then, Yuriko became The Witch, a looming nightmare for the dissidents of the government's reign. She saw her missions as a time to truly express herself in the art of blood and violence. There was no place that she would rather be than in the midst of her own carnage.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
The young Yuriko had been emotionless and stonefaced up to this point. After that one experience of freedom and creativity, she began to exhibit much more social behaviours. She was free as she can be, as long as she continued to kill.
What moment made the Third biggest impact in your life?
At 22, she formed a relationship with Christopher Lowell. She never loved him, she didn't quite understand the idea of a relationship like that, but they were young, and she had her needs. Maybe he truly loved her, but in the end, they broke up when she was 25.

How did it change your view?
While not a particularly large change in her views, the seed of humanity, past the love of just the act of violence, was planted, and hints of real, human emotions began to bud in her heart. They still continue to try and grow after decades.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
Yuriko started to exhibit some level of restraint when it came to her job as time continued to pass after her relationship with Lowell.
What’s your happiest memory that wasn’t an impactful moment.
A curious thing, and one that she doesn't even register as an impactful moment or if the emotion attached to it was 'happy': the birth of her daughter.

What’s one of your saddest memories that was or wasn’t an impactful moment?
Like the above, she doesn't even understand that it was supposed to be sad. The memory of letting go of Christopher Lowell hurt her in a way that she couldn't quite understand.

How does your artifact look when transformed and detransformed: While detransformed Nalli has a gold bangle bracelet that is her Artifact. When she transforms the bangle shifts to a gold pauldron on her left shoulder.

Reason for Risking it all: Nalli decided to become an artificial Mahou because her family always impressed the prestige of the Mahou Shoujo.
Health Issues from Elysium: While under the testing of the Elysium Project Nalli developed a compromised immune system and gained asthma from the various experiments making her dependent on steroidal drugs and quicker to fall ill.
Granted Powers:
Color Sapping: Before Nalli is able to do anything else with her power she must pull the color from an object. However, this only allows her to stretch a color out from its origins as long as it takes to pull all the saturation from the object. When Nalli loses focus the color snaps back to its point of origin.

Color Trap!: Nalli ensnares a parasite or object in a rope of color before releasing the power hurling the trapped parasite at the point of origin.

Transformation Info:
Nalli's transformation leaves her usually at a disadvantage in colorless areas, a white room situation would put her at a great disadvantage. Because her power doesn't allow her to focus on the things around her she tends to stay hidden as much as possible to avoid becoming a target. When parasites swarm her she tends to rely more heavily on her own physical ability and attack with her daggers instead due to her inexperience.
Is your relationship with your family good? Why or why not?
Nalli's relationship with her family is strained to say the least. Unlike her older brother, she was not born with an innate latency for Mahou Shoujo powers. With her parents seeing the Mahou as superior to all else they treated Nalli as inferior due to her two years of testing failures. Her brother used to have a good relationship with her up until she willingly partook in the Artifical Mahou Project. Now Nalli tends to avoid any mention of her family whenever it is brought up other than to say she is the apple of her parent's eye.

What values did your family teach that you still follow? Why?
As a child, deceit was associated with weakness. Her parents said it was a weak man who needed to lie to get their way, instead, she was taught that through her words and force of will she should be able to lead others to follow her. To this day she believes that no force can stop he if she puts her mind to it.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
One thing her family always taught was to trust in the system and that everyone's place in the world has already been pre-determined. She used to follow this as a child but once she was faced with the system going in a direction she didn't personally agree with she wondered why did they need to follow nature? If you knew a way to push past your limits then why wouldn't you? What use was destiny when you could crush that destiny and claim it for yourself?

Silver spikes, jammed zippers, and random stickers plastered all over-- punk-ish and metalhead styled. She is very much so against striking a pose mid transformation.

Artifact: A green, round emerald shaped like an eyeball, strapped to a black collar around her neck. When transformed, the collar snaps and her artifact shatters into a dozen pieces that hover over her shoulder. One too many pairs of gleaming, emerald eyes.

Reason for Risking it all: Revenge. There wasn't much for her to risk at all back then, in her mind.
Health Issues from Elysium: Whether due to an unknown injury to her brachial plexus during her time in the Elysium Project, or mere side effects from the transformation, Yūko has found herself unable to work her left arm properly from the shoulders down, being able to move her fingers and somewhat lift her hand, but nothing beyond that. Aside from the possible nerve damage, her body has also grown noticeably weaker. Nosebleeds, dizziness, debilitating fevers and headaches-- Yūko practically lives hooked on painkillers and antibiotics nowadays.

Twisted Garden of Enmity
Ichor-stained garth, whirlpool of all entropy, a ceaseless void that subsumes all that is foreign to be reshaped into wielded power. A place of trials, battle, and endless death, where the usurper comes to transcend all that has ever challenged her. The garden serves as an inward sanctum only accessible to Yūko within her subconscious mind, being able to tap into it in her sleep, or by simply focusing hard enough on it, almost as if it were a malpractice of astral projection gone horribly well. Once in the garden, the real world empties, time stammers, and she is stuck in the confines of her mind amidst an endless field of roses. These are Yūko's training grounds, her own little imaginary world. Inside the garden, Yūko can invoke the 'memory' of foes she's faced in the past, even those she's yet to face, or will never face, so long as the eyes of her artifact have seen even a smidge of their power in action, they can be replicated into a workable facsimile of the real deal. A training dummy put together from the memory of what Yūko's seen from a Mahou Shoujo or a Parasite, usually, one that fights back with the ferocity of whatever it was based on. The more she's seen of the original's power and strength, the closer the training dummy becomes to being on par with the original-- most training dummies only resembling a small portion of their mold's power.

Nothing really dies in the Twisted Garden.

Exalt
The power of dreams brought into reality. Upon defeating a training dummy a set amount of times, Yūko will begin to gain the very essence of the original's power. Bit by bit, shaping the pieces together until a weapon that holds a fraction of their power is created, most of them taking dozens of fractions of essence (along with countless defeats) in order to be made. These weapons usually match with the aspect and attributes of whatever being they were based from, be it a Mahou Shoujo or a Parasite, the majority of them can replicate in some way the functionality of their granted powers or natural traits. The strength and durability of these weapons, however, is based on the training dummy's power and not that of the original's.

A weapon forged from the vague memory of the strongest Mahou Shoujo, out of the mere glimpses Yūko has seen of them, will likely break apart in her hands the second it leaves the Twisted Garden. A weapon forged from the sharp reminiscing of a battle Yūko has already fought, on the other hand, will be as sturdy as a finely forged blade. Exalted weapons that break in the real world won't come back and will need to be re-forged in the gaden. As of now, Yūko can only bring two exalted weapons from her Garden into reality.

Exalted Weapon Almanac -

Yūko's newly crafted exalted weapons usually take about 5mins to manifest into reality. The exception being those that have been 'Primed after death', being fully mastered after the essence gathered from their training dummies has surpassed the double digits. 'Primed' exalted weapons come out of the garden the instant Yūko invokes them, without even needing a call out to be uttered.

Dianna Albu's (admittedly lesser) memory has been defeated a grand total of 25 times in the Twisted Garden.

Desc: A twin-headed black spear with countless sharp protrusions along its pole, as if a boney, hollowed spine carved out from a Parasite. A forked, slimy, tongue-like red tendril can shoot and whiplash out from whichever twinblade of the spear, sticking itself to anything it touches as if it were a giant frog's tongue. The tendril can reel back to either pull Yūko towards something, or yank that same something towards Yūko. Forged from the memory of the 'Twinhorn', the Parasite that wrecked Yūko's home and killed her parents, along with her youngest brother. She didn't get the satisfaction of ripping the thing apart back then, and now that she's spent all her time in the garden using it as a punching bag, she still doesn't get any satisfaction from it at all. She has no feelings towards it. There's nothing to avenge. That thing has been defeated 128 times in the Twisted Garden.

Aside from the more than noticeable change in wear, Yūko's body also regains some renewed vigor upon transforming. Her usually pale, sick face gets more color on it, her slouching posture fixes, and most importantly, her dysfunctional arm gains enough strength to become usable again. Yūko's Exalted Weapons don't seem to vanish along with her transformation, staying in the real world so long as she still has them in her hands once the Magical Girl transformation wears off. She can't, however, Exalt any of her weapons out of her garden without being transformed.

Ever since she and her siblings moved in under the care of her aunt, things have been an awkward dance of short-fused people trying to regain a sense of normality. The dinner table seems to always be on edge, god awfully silent. There's been a gaping hole in the household since the death of Yūko's parents, a dividing tear that stretches larger the more she play-pretends to be a Magical Girl for the Elysium project.

What values did your family teach that you still follow? Why?
Responsibility above all else. She was the appointed caretaker of her three siblings whenever her parents were off to work, made sure the house stayed on its foundations when things looked dire on the horizon. It's always been her sole duty and vocation to look after someone, be it her three younger brothers or any close friend she grew attached to.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
It's been long since Yūko has thrown the caution her parents inducted onto her straight out the window, she's no longer as orderly or methodical in the way she approaches things. She doesn't fear what may come her way anymore; she's past making herself smaller to avoid unwanted attention.

Asleep, in her garden. Ever since her home was burnt to the ground, its been the only place where Yūko still feels like she's in control. Her only place of rest, ironically, is the same place she goes to die a thousand times over.

What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
She remembers it well.

Taking in dust with every pull of shaky breath amidst the stillness, hair caked and pitted with grime and sweat. An empty, loud numbness rippling across her sides, punched into her ribs, wholly hopeless and bloodied up, lodged against the rubble of what used to house a family of six. The thudding footsteps of the beast that tore through her home loud above her, making the rubar quiver, groan sickly, settling preparatory to break and lance bolts of agony up through her ribs. The weight only spared her the mercy of rasping out staggering, hitching breaths. She was trapped. Bleeding. Alone. Helpless. Afraid. And most of all,

Utterly useless.

Yūko couldn't protect her brother back then. She froze at the first sight of the Parasite, watched it ravage through her house without daring to bunch a muscle. The memory still blurs in her mind. She remembers fire, blood, and her curled up under a pile of rubble with her knees close to her chest. Focusing on the sound of her own shaky breath, her heart banging and thrumming at her neck, not to pay attention to the bloody, nasty sounds happening right above her.

That night, Yūko's everything was taken by a Parasite. The Mahou Shoujo, the savior come to rid her and her family of the evil monster, arrived late. Came upon the remains of a girls family, and a horned beast gorging itself on them.

She couldn't even afford to throw herself at the Parasite as a distraction. Maybe then they would've had enough time to spare for the magical girl to save them instead of her.

Yūko wanted to lay motionless and stop breathing then and there, but the magical girl found her and lifted her sorry self from the rubble. The day was saved, half of the family had made it. Torn down the middle, but alive.

A miracle, wasn't it?

How did it change your view?
The days after were a raging storm. Whence it passed, Yūko was a mess of emotions at core. She still had two younger brothers, she still had to look after them. And she clung onto that, holding dear to the words, feeling as if she did so without any shred of conviction. Shameless, pathetic, weak as she was-- what could she protect? It just wouldn't do. Without action, without ambition, cowering like a dog with its tail tucked between its legs, that ideal became senseless noise. That night, Yūko learned that she and her brothers would be trampled under the weight of the world if she remained powerless, weak; that even days after that night, she was still just a girl hiding under a pile of rubble. Fear was her ball and chain.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
Strength was everything, and she couldn't protect anything being so disgustingly weak. Yūko became obsessed with the very notion of it, of strength-- she needed to be stronger. No matter how bad she had to hurt herself. No matter who she had to use as a stepping stone. She wouldn't be weak and hopeless again.
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
She was a guinea pig, fresh off the testing grounds, taking on the lab coat herself to experiment with her own limits.

At first she kept telling herself that she took the serum to avenge the death of her brother, to honor her parent's memory, but in the long run, the more time she spent dying to that thing in the garden, the more she realized how much of an upfront that was. Yūko understood, the pull of her obsession for power wasn't for them. She didn't care about getting even with the Parasites in the slightest. She didn't care about the memory of her parents, her brother. All of that was weakness. It was an exhumation of every bit of herself, every part she hated, prying away at the human husk of a girl too scared to be selfish for once. Yūko buried her old self in the soil of that garden, under the green glow of her rejecting artifact.

She took it for herself.

It was improvisational at first, method acting. Making herself believe that she could handle it-- death, tendfold at first, then on and on again... until something about the prospect became freeing. She was beyond the fear of death. The moment she first took the Twinhorn's head inside her garden, there was a chemical warfare. Fireworks whistling and going off inside her brain, an understanding of something she never had before. Power, strength, infinite potential. Control over her own fate.

Outside, without the serum, she was a mess of fragile bones and coughing fits. A staggered, shuffling gate. Left arm stiff, with rusted cogwheel rigidity. A tremor that made her fingers retract and fling back straight like the legs of a convulsing, dying spider. The gruff, raspy voice of a decade-long smoker. She felt as though she'd more than halved her lifespan. Inside of her garden, she was dying too, but on her own terms. She was free for once. A dying star, amidst dark, hueless depths. And she would make sure that her supernova burned brighter than everyone else's.

How did it change your view?
People became her pull, just as watered-down blood was a shark's sole attraction. She saw everyone with leery, disgusting eyes, excitement in her gaze. The world was hers for the taking.

How does your artifact look when transformed and detransformed: When it remains detransformed, it takes the form of a pale-blue handkerchief, with three diagonal arches of bronze-like material across it. Once transformed, it takes on the form of a cloak that hangs over Rin's shoulders, its appearance varies depending on the environment and however it can camouflage best.

Magical Girl Aspect: Destruction

Description of your bonded artifact spirit: Nemumaru is a drowsy and taciturn ball of energy, it rarely comments much aside from making cute little sounds, prefering to doze off whenever possible. Most of the time it speaks is whenever Rinka acts overly aggressive or fearless, and makes snarky remarks about how he's going to get himself killed while giggling, which in reality are its attempts to save the boy from overtly risky actions, usually with surprising effectiveness.

Granted Powers: -Psychokinetic Detonation: This ability is divided into two parts: First, he is able to create small spheres of energy with a behaviour extremely close to that of high explosives, and Second: He is able to send a psychic electromagnetic shockwave to the spheres in order to detonate them, causing powerful explosions. Due to the partially telepathic nature of his ability, he's capable of subconciously dictate how much he is affected by his own explosions, from as soft as a breeze to enough to propulse him across distances. His ability is best used in close-quarters, with the sphere nearly touching his palm, as it quickly loses potency as it travels when thrown as a projectile. Rinka can still utilize his explosions whenever he's not transformed, but their potency is only roughly one-third.

-Space Rift: With a cleave of his blade through empty space, Rin can create a rift in space that only he can interact with. On its own the rift leads nowhere, but through the creation of a second rift, they can act as two ends of a logic-defying tunnel. The first Rift is known as the "Mother Rift" and any subsequent ones are known as "Sub Rifts", if more than one sub rift exists at a time, any entity (besides Rin's body itself) that goes through from the mother rift comes out as separate copies in each rift, but all except one disintegrate after several seconds, If Rinka himself tries to put anything more than a single limb through the mother rift, only one sub rift will be active, regardless of how many may exist at a time. Anything that tries to go through a sub rift will only come out through the mother rift.

Transformation Info: Rinka is overtly quiet and inexpressive, yet extremely aggressive and destructive regardless. He mainly relies on his abilities to quickly close the gap with his enemies, and prioritizes absolute offense. His blade is primarily used to deal with the lesser enemies, while his explosions serve for taking down major threats, both requiring for him to get up close and personal, a high risk high reward fighting style. His rifts provide some minor utility, but most importantly allow him to strike enemies from unexpected angles and positions, or even multiply his damage output if set up correctly.

My parents were extremely sweet to me, I had a blessed childhood. I just wish they hadn't raised me so lovingly, I was faint of heart. This world has no need for weak children.

Out there in nature, seeing and interacting with the animals, nature is beautiful and lets me not think too hard about the rotten cursed world we live in. The training facilities are a close second, where I can focus on what matters.

Hidden away in my room, no one can bother me with their annoying words or judgemental glances.

No one, they drag me around instead.

Loud people, annoying people, rude people, overly chatty people, rotten people. A lot of people, really.

Jiā Lì, a childhood friend of mine, used to go to elementary school together. we lost contact for a few years, but met again at the Elysium Project, she works as an assistant for one of the many R&D facilities.
What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
My father is a scientist working for the Elysium Project, and he knew I was able to contract with artifacts before I turned ten. He wanted to give me something nobody else had, a choice. He brought me to a mission to observe at a distance. I watched soldiers die that day, and so I told him I didn't want part in it. And so he faked the results of my test, setting me free of that duty.

How did it change your view?
There was no place for me there, in the battlefield. I soon became interested in animals, and how we could live in harmony with them.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
A fear of violence, though that would eventually change.
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
I was studying under the wing of Professor Belger, he was in charge of a project taking care of the animals at a sanctuary for biologic research. I was in charge of feeding the Elks that day, and that's when I saw it, a parasite roaming the area. It looked...Peaceful, it made me think that maybe it wasn't going to cause any harm to anyone if I just let it be, it interacted calmly with nature, and thought that something like that couldn't be malicious...

I was so wrong

The moment I returned, it was a massacre. The parasite had slaughtered many animals in a rampage, and I was going to be its next target. But...I was saved by Professor Belger, he sacrificed his life for mine.

I enlisted to the Elysium Project soon after...Been fighting ever since.

How did it change your view?
I thought that if I plugged my ears and closed my eyes, I could fool myself into thinking that the war against the parasites was something I would never get to suffer from. But that's not true, the parasites won't stop until everything in the world is dead, not just the Magical Girls, but all of humanity...Nay, every living being.

I like to believe that my fears are mostly gone. I just want to take as many parasites as I can before I die.

Fontaine is a scrawny kid. It can be hard to tell, underneath
his usually baggy clothes. He has a scraggly mop of auburn hair, and matching brown eyes.
His wiry hands and arms, whenever he rolls his sleeves up to get to work, are often covered in
splotches of paint, dried too long to be removed without serious effort. Effort wasted in
Fontaine's book. His facial features are sharp, but his smile is crooked to his left side.

Not that anyone sees it, often. He tends to keep a bandana up around the lower half of
his face, and most of his wardrobe consists of sweaters, slacks, and jackets. All of which have
had little doodles and scenes painted onto them. None of the imagery is cohesive.

Breathe deep. Air's good for the lungs, and the mind.

How does your artifact look when transformed and untransformed:
In its dormant state, Fontaine's artifact appears to be a small cube; twice the size of a simple die. It has a sleek, grey, steely exterior, with thin slits that appear to travel across its faces in fractal patterns. Through the slits, a dim, neon green hue shines out. In its transformed state, the cube takes on the form of a gas mask of the same material, its lenses tinted the same green hue. The filter on this mask possesses two openings near its center that allow for the mask to diffuse and expel both Fontaine's breath, as well as its own generated gasses.

Magical Girl Aspect: Air

Description of your bonded artifact spirit:
Manifestations and visions. From within the thicker, visible gasses that Fontaine produces, he can sometimes distinguish illusions of Cheshire-grins and watchful gazes. Though these expressions always fade and vanish after they've been noticed. Only Fontaine hears its voice, and it's often a soothing one, giving advice and solace to its owner in whispers carried on his own breath... though its guidance is always given decisively too late, and its comfort always comes with a tinge of sarcasm in its timing.

Granted Powers:
Gas Generation
Fontaine's lungs, and his artifact, are capable of producing gasses. Oxygen, Nitrogen, Noble gasses, and so on. Fontaine can only produce gasses that he can visualize the proper structure of, and each fundamental element requires honing a specific mental image for, before it can be generated; one that matches the element's nature. The complexity of a gas also affects the rate at which it can be generated, the more intensive the structure, the slower the production. While Fontaine's lungs have a far higher output than his artifact, considering many gasses are lethal or otherwise dangerous to inhale or ingest, many will require being generated through his artifact instead.

Transformation Info:
While Fontaine possesses the ability to produce gasses in his natural state, his artifact's gas mask form protects himself from the more volatile and lethal gasses he may have at his disposal. This allows him to greatly expand on his options in a pinch while in his Mahou Shoujo™ form. Fontaine also has the habit of wearing small cannisters under his coat for the sake of storing extra gas for use via his flame throwers.

"Yeah, I'd say so. They weren't very happy that my test came back with flying colors, but without an artifact, I couldn't be kept forever. After I found this thing, they really tried to convince me to hide it... but I've seen what happens to the people that try to act natural. We're hoping to make this work out, but I think they'll always be disappointed I gave in so quickly."

"There's a really small group of people. They're really hard to weed out in a crowd, but if you can find them, they're the best people to know. If you're in a class, there's the suckups that do all their work on time, and their life is their curriculum. They look the smartest, and they act the smartest, but usually there'll be a few people just below the snobs that are almost as smart, and way cooler. You know, the kind of people you can ask about homework and yesterday's match... I respect the cool and the optimism you don't see in average people."

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
"You'd think it'd be the snobs, but it's not. They can be cool too, but you have to go the entire distance and meet them on their terms to get anything done. The people I really can't stand are the ones that just want something from you. Everyone wants things, but there are people who just refuse to give when they get. You tend to see a lot of those freaks in the government, actually. 'I'll send you to war, you'll protect us, you don't get a choice. Here's some pay so we can pretend this was consensual'. You know?"

"I... I had a bunch of them. The help we needed was late. Next question."
What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
"The day I got cursed. I wouldn't be here if I could help it, but my class got attacked. The Elysium Project has been trying to find me an artifact for years, now, so they've been preparing me to have one."

"I sure thought I knew how to help everyone. 'Keep calm', 'Hide under the desks and be quiet', 'Anything smaller than a pencil isn't gonna be lethal enough to protect yourself'... Turns out, normal people are just not enough. The alarms went off, and everyone hid, but I couldn't stop them. None of us could."

"Elysium likes to paint a picture of their heroes. Grand! Our line of defense! They're amazing and they're yadda yadda ya. They're also busy, and slow, and tired. We can't tell everyone that, of course. If we said 'Hey, sorry, most of you aren't in walking distance of protection!' there'd be riots. The whole time the alarms rang, I expected to see someone charge in and stop the parasites. We all did. That's all anyone can hope for."

"That's as certain as anything else in this world, I guess. And hey, I don't blame them. I'm going to be one, and I can't be everywhere at once... but if I ever figure out someone up the chain saw that attack coming, and refused to respond to it... I'd drag them to the frontlines myself and let them be 'first' for once."

"I don't want this for anyone else. Call that a fear. Call that a goal. I don't really care. I'll do what I can, as best I can, and whatever the next step is, I'll take it. I've got the government telling me there is no backwards anymore, so I'm just trying not to look back yet."
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
"Art, actually! I really like art. I once stumbled across this group of graffiti artists when I got separated from my parents on a shopping trip. They were making this awesome scene on the wall just outside of a skyline meeting a forest, but the colors were supposed to be inverted. They eventually caught me staring at it, since I had nothing better to do, and staying in one place is the easiest way to get found, I was told. They had me add some of the easier details, little spritzes of color into the sky. Stuff like that.

"It wasn't big, really. But I hadn't ever thought about stuff like that before. Every so often I still try to imagine what things would look like upside down, with inverted colors. This world needs more art in it. Stuff that really opens eyes, I mean. For a while, when I was older, I would go hang out with them. The weirdest part to me was that they knew their work would get plastered over, or painted over, or torn down... it wasn't about the permanence, it was about the idea. Looking back at it, it was like they were the only people in the whole world that just wanted to make something to make people think, or smile, or cry. Today."

"Things look more interesting when they don't look normal. It makes some things easier to handle, too. Drawings, sculptures, paintings... I could go on about all of it, but I guess there's just too many ideas at once. It's too hard to say, but I think I could describe it with a painting."

How did it change your view?
"I guess I don't try so hard to make some things last. Art's about the message, and the intent. Having something to look forward to at the end of the day is how you survive, and you can never run out of art to make. It doesn't have to be perfect, and there's not a lot of things I have that can be so easy... It's also fun to play games with the Training staff. They still haven't found the rabbit I painted under the sink last Tuesday."

"It's too lazy to say 'I like all art'. I don't. Statues are cool and all, pottery can be really useful, but what really interests me is color, and perspective."

As Tide, Ika’s transformation alters his body, making him taller, changing certain aspects of his DNA to alter his hair color, eyes and even his voice. He attains an entirely different look, and perhaps it is fitting, because as Tide he truly does change into a different person.

Description of artifact spirit: In reality Twilight is a Kraken, to Ika however she is a cute seemingly harmless cephalopod with purple and green themes. Since her awakening, he has noticed the subtle differences in her features, the more sinister appearance of her eyes for example is the most he can see. On a large scale their relationship is neutral for the most part. Twilight, since Awakening, has found little interest in things beyond MG duties and as a result only really acts as a backseat observer for a majority of the time. Something Ika finds incredibly annoying due to the way he just knows what she is thinking or feeling over his shoulder. The truly frustrating part of their relationship is when Ika has to do anything involving her abilities. Not only does she become more lively, but she also takes on a slightly more sadistic sort of glee, that trickles into Ika when he is angry, annoyed or in heavy combat situations.

Granted Powers: As a Water aspect many of his powers take from generation of water. His Trident for example,Anchor, is made of water that solidifies like ice and takes on a unique dark hue.

-Hydro Generation: Bladed Trident is the main weapon that allows for Ika to perform various hydrokinetic feats, though he can do so without the Trident he is a lot slower at it. When using his hydro abilities he can create ranged water based attacks with the Trident such as slashes, pressure blasts or even throw the Trident to allow it to strike something and then disperse it and recreate it in his palm. Can also generate water constructs that are capable of solidifying and acting as shields or wave shaped barriers, the constructs themselves can vary depending on his design. They will however crack like ice and break down if damaged enough.

-Twilight Rises: Through coordination with his spirit, Twilight, Water shaped tentacles can be made that can be used as extensions in combat to fight, defend, or increase mobility. Using this sacrifices his ability to use the Trident however. This feat is far stronger due to the greater control he has, at the same time, Twilight's excitement and his own personal disdain are increased, and his emotions are more raw than they normally ever would be.

Combat Style: Ika’s most preferred form of combat is mid range to close range, due to his aquatic abilities he is capable of altering the length of his main weapon to increase his range of reach, sometimes making it appear as if it defied physics with how it can bend or whip out to extend. The Trident, Anchor, can also collapse into a spear, a halberd or can be completely deconstructed to form other weapons but Ika's prime preference are polearms as it is where he is most experienced from his dàys of staff training in his early youth.

Water and Ice are both areas where Ika is capable of working with. Water based attacks are high pressure arc blades or create follow-up slashes with his trident. He can create high pressure thrusts as projectiles or send icicle shards. When it comes to his manipulation of Ice, oftentimes it is used for more sly and cunning tactics of minor area control to create opportunities of attack or strengthen defenses.

Ika is far more skilled in hydrokinesis than he is with cryokinesis, hence he only uses his Ice manipulation abilities as a supplement to his water abilities. He however has an issue with restraining the effects of his connection with Twilight when it comes to aspects of her personality bleeding into his own. Where the more intense a situation the greater he could fall into tunnel vision, or waste precious seconds he shouldn't, or even be influenced by Twilight herself to take actions he would think twice about.
Is your relationship with your family good? Why or why not?
It is complex. Akamu, his dad, taught him a lot about surviving in the open outskirts. He owes his dad a lot for his survival, but also can't say he sees him the same way since finding out why they lived out beyond city lines. His mother is the whole reason he is back in the city now, and just like his father, the relationship is complicated. Even more when you never really knew much about one of your parents when you lived in the city she played a part in protecting, and found it hard to recognize her years later when she tracked you down.

What values did your family teach that you still follow? Why?
Survival of the fittest is not what makes one survive but survival of the wise can go a long way in extending your ability to live. Both his parents taught him that, as well as the people around him. You don't live eight years on the outskirts by thinking only about yourself and your own, that's how you ensure when you need help- you won't get any. Neither do you enter a foreign environment and let people know how out of it you feel, because in a society like this, anyone can take advantage of that.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
Never let your guard down, and be smart about picking your battles. It's important to be alert and wary, and even more important to know when to pick a fight. A crucial lesson beyond the city line, and a valuable one to know in an authoritarian society.

Akamu Alama: His father, the one he owes his life for. The man was former military, knew medicine11, and he bestowed his son plenty of life lessons, he loves his dad- but he also resents him for what he did.

Alvita Shay: The woman that upon a request, he calls mom, but often times will stick to Ma’am. There is a lot he doesn't know about his mom, there is some stuff he's still finding out even after nine years living in the city. For about four of those years he rarely saw much of her until the last five after he was brought in. He still feels like she's a stranger, but he tries to understand her, even if he also feels a certain degree of anger at her for forcing him to become part of the gears in the system.
Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
He is most at peace when it rains, especially being outside during it or near the sound of water. Ikaika was born in the city but he did not grow up in it till his mother's appearance with her entourage. He, as a result of living a nomadic lifestyle, finds comfort in the evenings outside when stressed or thinking. Especially when it isn't active in the city and it's quiet, on rainy days. The rain was a time he recalls frequently, where danger was limited from their surroundings.

Where do you feel the safest? Why?
Being in woodlands is the safest he has ever felt, the closest he can get to that are a few locations where he is simply away from the rest of the city on trails that are secure.

What type of people do you surround yourself with? Why?
He allows almost anyone to be in his company. People are strange, he’s seen the worst out on the outskirts, he's also seen the cryptic in the city.

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
Avoid isn't the right way to put it. Wary and observant is. The cold business sort, sly and greedy, remind him of the worst sort of people he got to meet beyond city lines growing up. Not all were like that. Living outside the city made you a different sort of person by nature, something he accepted. Hijackers however were a threat, the people that pretend to be your friend but are preying on your downfall. There were more types, but Hijackers were the largest that survived by working in groups preying on those that left the city, taking advantage of them if they seemed useful. Reading the lines of character is a crucial skill.
What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
It had been a year after they left the city. His father had said it had been for his own good. The life of a Magical Girl wasn't a life he wanted. He knew the stories, knew the probabilities, and knew the reason his mother was rarely around was because being one dedicated a lot of yourself. Sometimes, too much.

Living in the outskirts with the others leaving the city with them wouldn't be that bad. He had been ten when he convinced himself of that.

How did it change your view?
He still doesn't know if it was a lie he told himself or not. Living in the Outskirts, as they called it, wasn't as nightmarish as one might think. It however wasn't the same as living in the city he grew up in.

Life, he learned was complicated. Sometimes you had to do hard things to get by.

It paved the path of him learning self defense lessons. All of which became crucial later.

It sparkled in the water and in his hand it sparkled once more.

The gem was beautiful. He hadn't known finding something buried deep in the water he had been swimming in would lead to the woman standing before them now.

Her eyes went from the man that was his father, sweaty and exhausted and tired, to the scene of paused violence.

The older dirty female that he had been wrestling with stared with horror in her eyes as the woman he felt he knew shifted her eyes to look at him.

When she called his name, and he had responded, he hadn't expected her to nod- then issue their arrest after executing the threats that had been struggling with her son and his father.

How did it change your view?
If anything it made him understand what he had inadvertently brought upon himself. It let him learn a lot about the city, the life of Magical Girls, and what role he would play.

Concern. He had nothing but what he knew from his father to go off of when it came to the Magical Girl life. That knowledge grew with what he heard from the Anti gov propaganda. Though he recalled little of what he learned as a child, it did not inspire joy. All he knew was what his mother reassured him it would be in his best interests to stay alive. Joining was a necessity for his sake.

An electric guitar fixed with enormous spikes and hard metal reinforcement. It goes without saying that even with an amp you can’t play anything on such an outrageous abomination. Kiri’s magical aspect, however, allows her to, cuz it JUST rocks.

How does your artifact look when transformed and detransformed:
A skull-shaped hair-pin that’s just a tad too cutesy for her taste. When she’s transformed, however, the skull blows up into a gigantic, floating, full-shaped pitch-black skull, which cackles madly or makes nasty comments whenever it feels inclined to. Amazingly, that’s far from the most annoying part about this form. It functions mostly as a speaker for Kiri's music, which she blasts non-stop at the max, something she does a lot.

Description of your bonded artifact spirit:
A floating skull who acts like a cheerleader to Kiri’s antics. When she’s transformed, it gives voice to the artifact of the same shape when not blasting Kiri’s music. Whe annoyed at its master, it plays soothing enka music instead.

Granted Powers:
Kiri is not a rebel but rebellion itself, her soul and body are rebellion itself. She’s the instrument, the flint to cause the sparks of change.

Electrifying: During Kiri’s soul groping and eardrum breaking shredding, a constant electric current runs through her allies, bolstering their courage and violent tendency, leading them to the tune of her emotions. All who join in with her attacks get a boost to their mobility and self-recovery. For those who do not wish to time their moves with her, however, her music is a constant source of irritation that tugs not only at their hearing but also their sense of caution, making them more likely to go on the offensive.

Nirvana Annihilation: Kiri breaks into a charge in a straight line, the longer her run-up is, the more energy she accumulates in her abominable guitar. When she lands the attack, all of the energy charged up within is released through her foe. As this electric energy courses through the victim, its destructive power multiplies the longer it takes to reach the body’s extremities., causing vastly more damage to oversized foes.

Transformation Info:
Loud and simple. There’s no room for finese or subtlety in Kiri’s battles. The stronger the foe the more devastating her attacks land. This direct approach tends to exposes her to danger, however.

What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
When she witnessed her two closest friends kill each other. Both of them were her bandmates, or rather just childhood friends who hung out and played music together. The ban broke up when the vocalist passed the mandatory aptitude test to become a magical girl. One year later, it was the drummer who passed the test. She, however, dislikes the idea of becoming and so went on a run.

It was agreed by the group of friends that they would help shelter the friend, but then the former vocalist, who was deemed by the Elysium project to be the closest to the girl and was sent to capture her.

A fight eventually broke out at their old hidden base. It ended in mutual destruction.

How did it change your view?
The system must be taken down. But it will never happen just by wishful thinking while being a fugitive on the run. The change must come from within, from raising the awareness of the magical girls and sparking a revolution under the nose of the Elysium Project

Health Issues from Elysium: Moscow suffers from insomnia, and when he can sleep, his dreams are plagued by terrible nightmares. Often times Moscow has to rely on high caffeine energy drinks to get by. Still better than dealing with wyrmscales though.
Granted Powers:
- Axia Medica: Suppression of Moscow's Wyrmscales, a mirror of Yury's ability with the same name. Moscow's wyrmscales temporarily disappear when this is activated. It can be deactivated at a whim, which causes Moscow's wyrmscales to grow back slowly.
  - This Seems Like a Bad Idea!: Moscow uniquely has figured out a method ironically inverting the effect of Axia Medica, turning a specific part of Moscow's body into heavy wyrmscales that can deflect an attack.
- Horonosis: Moscow can always tell the time. A vestigial remainder of Yury's ability of the same name.
- Gung-ho and Raring for a New Adventure!: Moscow can designate up to five points in a location where he can see. At any given time, Moscow can use his power to teleport himself to the location. An afterimage in the form of a breeze and the smell of petrichor lingers at Moscow's previous location.
- Witha Snap Crackle, and Pop!: With a flick of his hand, Moscow can always summon his weapon back to his hand regardless of where it is. He uses this in conjunction with throwing attacks and fakeouts
Transformation Info: Moscow prides himself on a flashy entrance. His transformation includes a whiff of petrichor and plume of flower blossoms as his trenchcoat billows in the wind. Vestiges of his wyrmscale simply melt away with his transformation.

Yes, Moscow's family tried to make the most of Moscow's time by cultivating a close bond. Although the danger of Moscow passing away early has gone, Moscow still enjoys a close bond with his family

Make every moment worthwhile. Moscow's family emphasized that every moment of Moscow's limited life is precious. So Moscow religiously avoids things like doom scrolling. This is still relevant to Moscow especially since one day he could accidentally die from using his powers.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
See everything in a positive light-- Moscow once was able to delude himself into thinking that his short-lived life could be seen in a positive light. But to be told that he was now going to live a long life and have that taken away from him caused Moscow to have a more pessimistic outlook on life. That, and the fact that the faith of humanity lies in an organization (Project Elysium) that Moscow sees as corrupt makes him see the world in a rather pessimistic view.
Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
In his backyard, where a great oak tree stands with a wooden swing set attached to one of the branches. It is a rather rustic feel, far away from society. Moscow enjoys the swing set and listening to the sounds of nature, as it is an opportunity to get away from the hubbub of society.

Where do you feel the safest? Why?
Afterschool in the school library. The excuse of homework is a great excuse to avoid his duties as a Mahou Shojo and to avoid his so-called friends.

What type of people do you surround yourself with? Why?
Moscow has a large loose circle of friends from highschool, full of gossip, toxic comradery, and a recklessness that Moscow tries to avoid most of the time. In retrospect, Moscow wouldn't have chosen this group of friends, however, he was desperate for a friend group after so many years of being unable to go to school due to his disease. Furthermore, being a Mahou Shojo has allowed him to gain popularity with his peers, attracting the popular guys and gals.

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
Members of the Elysium Project. Moscow has seen through their disingenuity. Of course though, considering his situation, Moscow still holds a cordial relationship with them.
What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
Moscow was born with a degenerative disease called Wyrmscales. It was a disease that was characterized by scaly skin much like the mythical dragons, which would harden and spread. The two issues that arose from this were that the scales, when hardened, hindered movement and eventually led the afflicted to be immobile. Secondly, when it spread, it wasn't limited to exterior skin. Eventually, the wyrmscales would infect vital organs, rendering them hard and unusable. The doctor's prognosis was that Moscow had until he was 18 to live.

Aside from his family, Moscow's greatest support in dealing with this came from his childhood friend Yury. The two of them were inseparable, frolicking in the fields behind the Bierstadt house, taking advantage of Moscow's life while he could still move.

When Yury and Moscow came of age, they underwent testing to determine their affinity with artifacts. While Moscow had no affinity, Yury was determined to be a natural Mahou Shojo. From that day on, Yury's hopes and dreams were all of protecting Sahoe, and the distance between Moscow and Yury grew. But even as Yury took on Mahou Shojo responsibilities, the two childhood friends continued to hang out. Furthermore, one aspect of Yury's power seemed to be some sort of healing implementation that suppressed Moscow's Wyrmscales.

A tragic battle two years later caused Yury to fall into a comatose state. Members of the Elysium Project suspected that it was due to overexertion of his power, the very least of which was from Yury constant suppressing the effects of Moscow's Wyrmscales. Now that Moscow lost the effects of Yury's power, Moscow was desperate for a method to live.

The people of the Elysium Project suggested bonding the artifact to Moscow instead. It was a last ditch attempt, but under the pressure and the fate of his imminent death, Moscow took the offer. Miraculously, the serum did derive a power that allowed Moscow to suppress his illness, as well as a few other minor abilities that seemed reminiscent of Yury's abilities. Moscow is disillusioned by Project Elysium. Firstly, the eagerness of the project members to bond Moscow to Yury's artifact was suspicious, as well as the suppression of such information. Additionally, Moscow has developed a more positive view on life, knowing that it will one day end, whether through overuse of his powers or wyrmscales. His own eagerness to take on Yury's artifact for his own sake also bothered Moscow, as this indicated to him that this was a form of greed, and now looks down upon himself for being scummy and greedy.

What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
Moscow's first job as a Mahou Shojo was not to defeat a monster, rather, it was to take down a rogue magical girl named Joachim. Joachim was the type who had ambitions of using his magical girl powers to control society rather than help it.

Their fight quickly devolved into a conversation, as Moscow was ill equipped to fight a Mahou Shojo with more athletic performance and experience than he, and for some reason, Joachim refused to kill Moscow. Nobody knows what the two of them conversed about, but at the end of it, Moscow secretly helped Joachim flee society. These days, Moscow still communicates with Joachim through radio

How did it change your view?
Moscow's conversation with Joachim made him adopt a dislike for how the Mahou Shojo were seen as idols. He still jumps into battle with bravado and gusto, but this is the experience where Moscow's vulgar catchphrases stemmed from.

Part of Moscow wishes to develop some sort of power to end the idolization of the Mahou Shojo
When they were little kids, Yury and Moscow were obsessed with a RPG called Lair Quest. It was one of those classic Final Fantasy esque games where a steampunk society had to face off against an uprising in nature, all led by a big-bad dragon. While not revolutionary for its time, Yury and Moscow's parents had to almost drag them away from the game console to eat dinner. The game had a profound impact on Yury and Moscow; when they got older, they larped conquests in their backyards. And it manifested itself in Yury and Moscow's abilities-- Yury's abilities all revolved around steampunk themes, representing his 'might-makes-right' and pro-status-quo attitudes. Meanwhile, Moscow's abilities revolved around an adventure representing his carefree and positive spirit.
