Vale: "I don't- when I was a child- Uh . . ." The beginnings of several badly formulated lies stumble out of Vale's mouth before he realizes what he is saying.
Vale: After a couple false starts he nods, evidently deciding to be honest with this stranger, "I am . . ." He takes a step back...
Part 1:
Szaiya: On the outskirts of Bent Creek, several hundred yards past the last of the hovels of the slave compound, a young woman stands, shrugging a reddish-brown cloak around her shoulders, gazing towards the northwest.
Szaiya: She carries a long spear slung across her back under the...
Rizon seems to be borked today - I got split from the channels halfway through a scene, and can't reconnect.
So I'm posting what we got done, and we'll finish some other time.
So, I was running calculations for XPgen, and noticed that the chart on the linked Fixalted page has a minor discrepancy - on the Essence line, each listed number is the cost to upgrade from the previous value to that value, while on every other line the numbers given are cumulative totals.
If...
Szaiya was not raised in the comforts normally associated with the dynastic families - the Denovah line of the family had only produced a single exalt in generations, and Avaku - while notable - had not yet had time to significantly raise the family's standing significantly. Besides which, he...
I'm in the "Unemployed with nothing to do" boat that you just left, so I'm available pretty much whenever.
I have scheduled gaming sessions on Monday and Wednesday afternoons (1-5ish, US Central time), and I run a chat Shadowrun game every other week on saturday night (usually...
It's a celestial martial art that focuses as much on stealth and movement (requires dots in Stealth and Athletics) as it does on combat. Invented by a chosen of Journeys during the primordeal war, but it's also apparently common in Autochthonia. I could take a bit of past lives or something as...
I'll get my concept posted yet this morning - I've been a bit busy with other stuff the last couple days, but ideas have been percolating so I've got a pretty good idea where I'm going with it.
I do want to double check though; is Crystal Chameleon style martial arts acceptable for a night...

Kiara, recognizing that violence is about to erupt and quite unsure of her ability to stop the other solars from attacking, draws her sword and moves to a position where she can keep a good view of the unfolding combat - while she is unwilling to strike the first blow and unsure of...
Kiara sees the avalanche coming, and channels her essence into keeping herself balanced and stable. Grabbing onto a nearby rope, she rides out the avalanche as easily as she would a gust of wind in the air. As the ship plows to a stop and the other exalts start readying for combat, she starts...
Kiara nods to the newcomer, helping pull him onto the deck. "Welcome aboard the Dreamer." At his question, she simply jerks her thumb towards her own forehead, where a pair of concentric golden circles shine through her heavy insulated hat.
Turning her attention back to the matter at hand...
I'm looking at a Night caste martial artist (Crystal Chameleon style, if that's acceptable)/spy, born to a dynastic house and trained as a mortal spy, then exalted as a Solar while out on a mission and defected. Still a bit fuzzy on her motivation, though.
And Arion Wind has a lunar concept...
Kiara thinks for a moment. "I can rouse the crew, to help out here. But we'll still need to leave at least one person behind, to help them, and two would be better - my first mate knows what's what, but there's some things he just can't do in these conditions. Anyone prefer to stay here and...
Taking off in the blizzard wouldn't really work very well. Also, it would probably be best for Kiara to be present at any negotiations that take place; having an eclipse caste around to make any agreements binding can be useful.
Oh, yes, while I'm thinking about it; for the rest of the scene, any actions made to help preserve the airship and protect it against the storm get 2 bonus automatic successes. It's Miashara's call on how strict that definition is, though.
