Prince whinnied to the other horse, bobbing his head. Jake smiled at Em, patting Prince's neck as he nudged the horse into a canter, rocking with the stallion's movements.
Joshua shrugged, wiping a hand down his face. "I don't know. I know Kendall hates dad, and I sure didn't enjoy his company half the time. But I also know Kendall wouldn't of killed him, and I sure didn't." he said, glancing down at his father.
Jake stroked Prince's neck, loving the feel of the stallion's smooth gait and soft coat under him. Nudging the stallion's barrel, he sent him into a trot, gripping the horse's body with his thighs to stop from moving so much. Prince tossed his head as he picked up a trot, whickering softly.
Jake nodded. "I knew that, Em. I was kidding."
Slipping the leather halter over Prince's nose, he clipped hunter green lead rope to the ring, sliding open the stall door. "Come on big boy." he crooned to the chesnut, leading the old horse from his stall. Prince whickered, lipping at Jake's...
Josh leaned against the wall behind him. "We couldn't of been the only one's in the house if someone killed our father." he muttered, running a hand through his short hair. Rubbing the back of his neck, he glanced down at his fingers, which were stained red from touching his father's chest...
Joshua looked up at Sophie. "I was fixing the four-wheeler." he replied, standing up from the floor, brushing off his jeans. "You really think they'd suspect us?" he asked, shaking his head in disbelief.
(Probably, not sure though.)
Jake looked over his shoulder at Em, smiling softly. "I thought you were talking to me." he teased, shaking his head as he turned his attention to Eclipse, making his way to Hope's stall, giving Prince a pat on the neck. "Hey old boy." he greeted the Hanoverian.
Joshua rolled his eyes. Just because Kendall was two years older than him, hardly, he thought he was mister macho. Looking at his dad, he drew in a sharp breath, raising his eyes to look at the white ceiling.
Jake pushed open the door to the dorm building, greeted by a blast of cool air. Rubbing the back of his neck, he started to the barn, clucking to Eclipse as he entered the barn, he stroked the black's horse's head.
(Same. -.-)
Joshua looked at Sophie then at Kendall, absentmindedly touching the still healing bruise on his shoulder. Averting his gaze from his father, he glanced around the room at his siblings.
(Writers block. -.-)
Blinking his eyes open, Jake wiped the gunk from them, pushing himself into a sitting position. He threw back the covers, standing up from his bed, running a hand through his hair as he headed over towards the closet, pulling out a pair of jeans and a plain red tee. Glancing outside, he wondered...
Joshua shrugged. "Maybe 'cause mom died, you know he's been miserable ever since. Hey, I'm trying to help as much as I can, but I know as much as you do." Looking up at Sophie, he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
Josh sat against a wall, closing his eyes for a moment. "Do you think he...You know...Killed himself?" he wondered outloud, looking across the room at Kendall, shrugging slightly.
Joshua looked at Kendall. "In the garage." he replied simply, then shook his head. "I heard nothing, and I didn't see anyone walk by the garage, I would of had a full view of the house." he said, looking down at his father.
Hearing the shatter and the screams, Josh ran in from where he had been in the garage. Looking around the house, he heard someone on the phone, but made his way towards the office, stopping dead in the doorway. "What happened?" he asked, coming in and kneeling next to his father, laying a hand...
Name: Joshua Garner.
Age: 15
Personality: He's a tough cookie to crack. Joshua never was a big softy on anyone, which is why his arguement with his father seemed brutally worse than they were. Josh has been rarely seen smiling, or even laughing, despite his sibling's attempts, but he just...
Jake leaned back against the headboard, running a hand through his dark hair. Glancing around his room, he rose from the bed, heading into the bathroom for a shower. Turning on the hot water to let it run, Jake sat down on the toilet seat cover, touching the stream of water once and a while.
Jake nodded. "Alright." With a small smile and a nod, he continued his way to his dorm, turning the knob and pushing open the door. Sitting down on his bed, he looked outside, hands behind his head.
Jake listened silently as she spoke, then nodded. "I understand, Em. It wasn't your fault you flipped, I'm sure I'd be the same way. So we're okay?" he asked, letting go of her arm.
(Gaah, lazyyyy, sorry.)
