Exec: TV is dying! everybodies watching netflix on their iPads! We haven't had any pitches in months. Most of our staff is bored out of their mind if they haven't quit already! Thank you!
A likely comversation wbeh I try to pitch a TV Show:
Exec: But isn't this a bit to mature for kids?
Me: It's aimed for teenagers, not kids.
Exec: What are Teenagers?
Me: *Wants to ask for something but doesn't want to sound too demanding*
Me: *as a result comes of as seemingly reluctant and/or not actually wanting what I'm asking for*
Cartoon Companies: People between the Adult and Choldren demographic do not exist.
Me: *Makes a statement that could start an argument*
Me: *doesn't realize statement could start an argument*
Someone else: *starts argument*
Me: *replies to argument*
Me: *backpedals because I just realized that this was a terrible idea*
I don't get why people don't like animation. There's a whole bunch of cool stuff you can get away with in animation that would look rediculous in live action.
