Introduce Yourself!

Hey all! I'm Dionysus, as you can probably guess by my username I'm a fan of mythology and the like, but I also love OCs and their own stories as opposed to pre-established characters. I'm pretty new to forum RP in all honesty, I've been writing and RPing for over a decade and am looking for a new home!

Hi all. Pretty much like everyone else, I’m looking for an rp partner or two. Got my start about 20 years ago, got involved in a bunch of groups but over the years they all faded away. Looking to make a new friend or two to write with. Full time employed so replies will be evenings GMT.

I’m use a long-form 3rd person style. And have written mostly OCs for years, but do on occassion adopt a well known character, mainly to feed my desire for more content when their series is over. Currently I’m obsessed with Danmei, so hoping for something in the cultivation setting along the lines of The Untamed. I play 1-1 m/m exclusively. Group rps tend to fizzle out as people forget or get busy rl.

I’m EyeballHoarder, I’m a little amateur when it comes to roleplay despite how long I’ve been doing it. I really like nation and faction stuff and I’ve done a few nations role plays before so I thought this place would be fun so yeah.

Hello everyone! I'm Bambi and I'm a little nervous. I've been roleplaying since around 2014 but I stopped in 2019 and I've been really wanting to get back into it, hopefully I'm not rusty! I'm looking for roleplay friends and to just see what this place is like. I have a lot of interests but some big ones are kpop (pretty much every group, especially older gens), video games, fantasy worlds, anime, anything to do with apocalypses or survival (bonus if its the zombie kind) and supernatural. Very open to lots more!

In terms of writing style I mostly like literate roleplay but I'm fine with other styles too. I just really like writing and escaping from reality so yuh - please message me!

Hey! My name's Rinnie and I love reading, writing, daydreaming, and beauty. I used to roleplay a lot a few years back, and am just now getting back into it. I'm a student but I won't disclose my age for personal reasons.

I love any academic setting roleplay (think: British boarding schools, prestigious colleges, secret societies, and a thirst for knowledge), as well as fantasy settings. One of the best fantasy settings, in my opinion, is Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse. Just such good vibes and so many different character opportunities. I also really, really, really like Greek Mythology, an interest that was born out of a pre-pubescent discovery of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series that never died. I typically only participate in group RPs and very rarely do 1-on-1s. The bigger the group, the better in my opinion, as it keeps more active and interesting! Ideally to me a roleplay would have at least 5 people to create a tight group, and around 15 for more diverse plotlines.

Also, a pet peeve: I hate it when roleplayers insist on only writing extremely long paragraphs at a time. I find it impossible to keep the flow or any sort of dialogue with that kind of style. Long messages are good, but there's a time for everything...

Hey there! I go by Taleek I had an account on this site once upon a time but I forgot it! and I never actually introduced myself on this site so here it is now!

Your experience with roleplay and how long you have been roleplaying. When it comes to roleplay exp I think I can honestly say that I've been 'role playing' since I was a kid but I suppose I've been doing it as a real hobby for about eight years or so. I suppose playing pretend outside with friends and family naturally led to me wanting to do it with others online. And that eventually snowballed to me playing D&D and introducing myself on sites such as this!

My main interests in regard to RP are simply playing in various established worlds or worlds and settings created by other creative folks and having fun interacting with players and characters in various ways. My favorite genre would probably lie with any type of RP that involves rolling a bit of dice here and there but I'm also open to just roleplaying as well. I like many genres but I suppose my favorites would be Sci-fi and Fantasy.

In terms of other hobbies, I suppose my biggest would be gaming. I play tons of video games when I can get in the time to do it. I once had enough free time that I could play in a MMO my preferred one being FF14. I even roleplayed in that game which made me plenty of friends now! In terms of games that I generally tend to play now, I'm currently juggling a few. Right now I'm currently playing the new Legend of Zelda, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Elden Ring (on and off mostly just pvp), Cult of the Lamb (Been dabbling in the new DLC), and finally Overwatch 2 when I wanna hate myself for a bit. (only jokes... kinda)

And that's about the gist of my intro! I'll be looking around for Roleplays in the near future here but if anyone has any questions for me feel free to hmu in DMs or wherever else that's appropriate!

new here; I'm Milo, 31, from Europe. just a nerdy, metalhead-y trans dude looking for new people to write with. I appear on tumblr under the same name (oneintrepidhero) and also have info on the kind of stuff I'm looking for there. currently on a huge GOTG kick, Marvel in general is my long time lover. mostly 616 but, and especially with GOTG, the MCU as well. I've been writing for like??? 15 years??? on and off, next to just having a love for most creative arts. my favorite stuff to write is character studies and various different relationship dynamics, with found family and romance at the top. looooove a good slow burn though I have an affinity for soulmate AUs, adore angst in proper scale to fluff. I just like the good and the bad in a nice balance, characters bonding through adversity and dark times with hopefully a happy ending in the horizon.

I'm Vacyr (28), the new RPer on the block from the East Coast. But don't be fooled! I've been writing stories for over 15 years at this point so I'm very experienced. My main squeeze is Fantasy but I'll do pretty much anything but horror (mystery, superhero, slice of life, sci-fi, history, fiction, etc) as long as the plot is enticing and our characters are interesting.

As some folks said above, I too took a break because of life but now I'm back and ready to start crafting stories and hopefully meet some amazing people. My style is that I typically write multiple paragraphs with the expectation to receive a similar cadence from my partner. OOC chat isn't a must but I appreciate getting to know my partners and forming a bond. I love finding long time partners on these sites and had RPNation recommended to me after my current forum has been less and less active.

As far as fun things -- I love playing guitar, video games (currently playing Jedi Survivor, Marvel Midnight Suns, and Marvel Snap), martial arts is something I did pre-pandemic and am trying to get back into it since I recently moved to a new town, and taking nature walks for that vitamin d. And last but not least... my cat Mars who is a one and a half year old tortoiseshell (who is trying to climb on my keyboard as I type this) who is sassy af but needs lots of love.
