Can I do an elemental earth mage dryad that is corrupted? K so like since the sun is black, she is twisted now and is like a necromancer but instead of raising the undead, she plants seeds in dead bodies and they grow inside the body and use it like puppets?

Ooh that sounds cool, and yeah you can. Just remember power/magic comes at a cost of some kind. Like you have the ability to do this but somthing negative happens to your character.

Love the vibe and submitted a humble character concept. Am mobile for now so hoping to format it a bit more nicely once I'm somewhere where I'm able!

And absolutely open to either weaving that background with others or adjusting based on the lore OP has in mind.

The same goes for Neo Alice i love her to.
I saw you mentioned wildlife and was wondering what type everyone would want. Would everyone lije the normal wildlife, somthing different, or maybe a mix?

My assumption as I wrote that bit was that there has been a slow corruption of regular earth and maybe some low-fantasy type fauna (direwolves, saber tooth cats, things that once existed in the real world), but that is starting to introduce more ghastly and properly lovecraftian into the world.

If you’ve seen Annihilation, I assumed something like that, except more involved with dark magic than environmental gene splicing. That idea seems to vibe well with the dryad character as well so they may have more to add

Yeah I'm making sure that's what everyone wants first. I haven't seen Annihilation do I'll have to watch it soon.

Tysm! K sooooo like just remembered I had a placeholder so I deleted my charrie post and edited in the place holder

And I'm good with whatever you come up with for animals. My dryad is so sheltered that she don't know much about things outside her forest territories lol

I just went of the basis that if the benefits of sunshine is removed the earth is dying a literal cold, cold death.

I love when there's like mixs of animals (like in ATLA) and since the black sun mutates life (I think I read that) it fits good. Also love your character

My character is basically a clone of an important witch that died ages ago, if anyone is interested into recognizing her (maybe even antagonize her?) or something like that, let me know

Having her tied to the coven of witches-turned-hags involved with Lyrio's background, either as a member or an adversary, could be interesting (and very Greek literature coded)

The fates went crazy with this weave

Them getting on well but her original incarnation beefing with the hag coven, causing him to have to fight for possession of his mind against the psychic fractures of the hags that still exist and want some vengeance through him, could be a fun spin. Or if she were an ally, them trying to convince her to help hijack his physical form a la Cyberpunk so they can properly be “alive” again.
