Random as heck post but do y’all remember Sacred Star of Milos? Yeah I don’t. But I watched it a few days ago with my friend and we utterly hated it. It was so bad. But after watching that, I thought of something. You know how CoS had an edited version of the movie which had some quality of life changes, I feel like Sacred Star of Milos needs something like that, but to a greater extent. That’s when I remembered something else…do you remember those FMA PS2 games? There was three of them but only two were available in English. I have the idea of rewriting, and turning the Sacred Star of Milos into a game! My reasons are this 1. We can have more time to have the plot play out
2. We can have some really cool fight scenes. Now I’m not good at 3D modeling (or game development as a whole, I’m learning Renp’y)but if anyone would consider doing something like this, please message me. Thanks

I enjoy writing and reading. I write a bit if everything. From modern fantasy to western to slice of life. I like it all! Reading wise I like romance and action. Plot can honestly be anything, as long as it's interesting to me.

They are both trading card games, so they share some similarities that are common in that genre (especially since MTG is pretty much the original trading card game from which the others spawned). That being said in card design, concept, game mechanics and several other aspects they are pretty fundamentally different I would say.

Depends. Having enough understanding to be able to play with simpler cards at all is relatively straightforward I think. Things get more complicated once you introduce greater card complexity or unusual things to do, which is generally the level most players are at. Then there are niche case and in-depth rules of the game which help determine exactly what happens when particular card effects or events collide, and those are far far more difficult but also not necessary to know in the vast majority of games.

Magic is considered one of the most complex games in the world by some, but this is less because the rules are especially complicated but rather a combination of
A) The giant existing card pool with a multitude of effects

B) Magic has a keyword system and unique terminology which, while it really helps simplify card text, also means that for a new player you may not be able to tell at a glance what a card does. For instance a card with the keyword "flying" can only block or be blocked by creatures with flying. The word flying on a card has that rules meaning but you need cards that are very old to ever see that explained.

C) The rules, without being too complicated themselves (at least on a non-in-depth level) generate complex interactions and decisions. MTG is one of the only card games on the market in which you're not only able to but indeed expected to take actions during your opponent's turn for example.
