rare genuinely hot take incoming but fandom spaces are meant to be places for people to engage with their favorite franchises as a means of getting away from real world bullshit so if you drag unrelated hot-button political issues into a franchise instead of examining what the franchise has to say on its own then you're not really engaging with the franchise in good faith and you should probably stop
