He also uses a 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun that he keeps strapped to the right side of his backpack. He keeps his knife (Knife 1) in a boot sheath on his right boot. His knife is also a bayonet that can be fixed onto his shotgun. He keeps his Fire Axe Strapped along the bottom of his pack. David has another knife (Knife 2) he keeps sheathed on the back of his belt with the hilt to the right. David also carries a ballistic riot shield that keeps the shield strapped to the back of his backpack unless in use to provide some rear protection. His shield is heavily reinforced and can even withstand armor-piercing rounds to a certain extent. The drawback to this is that it requires immense strength to use effectively. David made the shield before the outbreak and thus it is very well made, he is also most attached to it out of all his gear. The shield also has a heavy-duty retractable spike on the bottom allowing David to plant it into the ground for better stability. The front of the shield is studded with small half-inch spikes. Finally, the shield has a device on the right side that David can lock his shotgun’s pump into and thus rack the entire gun back and forth in order to pump it (This was jury-rigged after the outbreak).
