I know it'd make me sad if I saw someone bashing a series that I love with all my soul, buuuut at the end of the day I know opinions are opinions and I do try not to take it personally. It's fine to like or dislike different things. I just don't want to be the person openly hating on something that may mean a lot to someone else.
I feel sad for them that they will never experience that particular show or film the way I did. It's only when the packaging of that opinion becomes personal that I can feel hurt by it personally. For example when people say stuff like "Lost sucked. It made no sense, nothing was answered, and the ending was nonsensical fluff." I don't take offense to that, because it's their perspective of what they saw.
When people say stuff like, "Only bubbleheads who don't need closure or understand plot mechanics can appreciate Lost." That's obviously more personal and tries to speak to the perspective of those who did love the show.
