My first was Dragon Ball! I was thoroughly obssessed with Goku as a kid haha

First anime I ever watched was Transformers:Armada. I liked transformers toys as a kid and one of the figure boxes I got included a DVD with about 10 episodes on it.

It had a really cool concept that i haven't seen in any other piece of transformers media called mini-cons, smaller human-sized transformers that can combine with the regular transformers to give them new abilities, e. g. A helicopter minicon latching onto a transformers back to give him the ability of flight.

First ever anime?

Dragon Ball Z or Gundam Wing on Toonami back in the early 2000's.

It was one of three (I can't remember which, and I didn't know what anime was for a long while afterwords): "Dragon Ball/Z?" "Sailor Moon," or "Pokémon." Probably Sailor moon first. I wasnt allowed to watch it, but I remember liking the opening a lot. And then later pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, and whatever other shows would have been on Saturday mornings.

In particular that episode where there were hair strands so sharp that they cut people into bits. I was in elementary school and scared off of anime for a couple years because of that
