Realistic or Modern You’ll Live to Regret It

Colby frowns and takes her hand. “Carmen, baby you gotta calm down. It’s okay.” He murmurs softly and watches her start to pass out again.

Her nurse popped in as soon as she’d been alerted to carmens elevated vitals, moving Colby out of the way gently to check her over, seeing she was already falling asleep again. “Alright... next time you find her awake, go ahead and give us a call immediately alright?” She smiled at him. “It’s a good sign that she’s waking up.” She assured him then left him to it.

Colby nods a little and sighs. He had assumed she freaked out waking up in a hospital after the accident and couldn’t blame her. He’d freak out. He sighs softly and runs a hand through his hair.

Becky made it up there later on and sighed heavily when they let her through to the room going in and hugging Colby tightly. “How you holding up?” She asked him. Her and carmen has become good friends over the years at work and she had gotten the news from Stephanie that morning so she finally managed to get away from promo filming and headed down to see how she was doing.

Colby hugs her back gently and sighs. “I guess as good as I can be doing. She woke up for a bit which is good.” He murmurd and sits back down. “I just want her to pull through.

She frowned some and nodded, sitting down on the other side to keep him company. “You two doing okay? I know she’s been kinda distant at work lately but I figured you guys were just going through stuff again.” She mumbled frowning some. He had that guilty look on his face like carmen always talked about and Becky sighed a little.

Colby looks away from her and back at Carmen and sighs. “We were getting better. We were trying at least.” He mutters and sighs softly.

Carmen was starting to wake up again and groaned a little, moving her hand up towards her face looking around a little panicked again until she saw the same guy from before but there was another woman there with him now and that was scaring her. She had no idea where she was and as she thought about it more she had no idea how she’d ended up there.

She frowned looking around her confused not really looking at him at all, avoiding eye contact just scared until a nurse came in to get her settled, making the two visitors leave the room for a bit until they had the ventilator out and she was stable and the my were finally let back in to see her but she lay there quietly just staring at the wall, finally looking to Colby and just watching him blankly. “What are you doing here?” She asked.

Colby frowns as he watches her and then goes on the hallway when he’s asked. He frowns when she asks why he was there. “Look I know where fighting but why wouldn’t I be here for you?” He asks and crosses his arms. “I can’t believe you’d ask me that Carmen.”

She frowned some watching him. “I don’t even know who you are, what do you mean we were fighting?” She muttered just staring at him trying to rack her brains for where she could possibly know him from but she was coming up blank

“How do you know my name?!” She questioned him starting to get a little scared now the longer she couldn’t think of who he was.

She watched him rush out and just lay back shaking a little, completely freaked out. She wanted answers and she wasn’t sure why she couldn’t remember who the hell this guy was.

They asked her several questions until leaving her with her nurse for a moment and went to speak to Colby. “I’d like to take her for an MRI in the morning, see how extensive the damage is, but for now, explain things to her slowly. She doesn’t know who you are or what happened to her so she’s shaken up by it, as for whether it will come back or not, that remains to be seen.”

Colby nods a little and sighs soflty. He heads back into the room and stands awkwardly away from the bed. “Hey, I’m Colby Lopez.”

She frowned watching him confused still. “Carmen Ramirez.” She mumbled. “Why are you here? Did you hit my car or something? They told me I got in a car wreck.” She mumbled frowning.

Colby shakes his head. “No. A semi hit tour car. I don’t know who the driver was yet. I’m your...I’m your husband.” He tells her and crosses his arms.

She stared at him shocked for a moment before giggling. “Ooh... well done me.” She smiled watching him then sighed. “I just... I’m sorry, I have no idea who you are, I mean... I know you.... how long have we been married?” She asked him quietly.

Colby laughs softly. Oh she wasn’t gonna think how lucky she was when she remembered everything. A part of him didn’t want her to. What if this was their chance to start over? He goes and sits by the bed and smiles at her. “We’ve been married four years but we’ve know each other and been together since high school.”

She frowned some watching him “how old am I?” She asked him confused, wringing her hands a little, she’d always had the habit when she was worried or confused. “Oh god do we have kids?” She asked him worried. She didn’t want to not remember her own children. They’d been trying for years but she’d not managed to hold a pregnancy yet, it had been a touchy subject for years but she didn’t remember that now.

Colby sighs softly and watches her. “Your 29.” He tells her and bites his lip. “We don’t have any kids.” He says softly. He sighs and leans back in the chair a little.
