    parker honestly lives by the saying "i'm here for a good time, not a long time". she doesnโ€™t really mean to get herself into sticky situations, honest. it just happens. she doesnโ€™t think much of the consequences her actions can lead her to, which just makes matters even worse. point is, parker really never thinks. sheโ€™s the girl who smokes out of a water bottle and rolls blunts in the rain, and does the occasional wake and bake. the girl who is always down to party as long as she's not the one throwing it. even with all of this, she has a way of never getting caught. when the cops come around the school doing random check ups, she somehow always manages to get a heads up and bring her dub in a bowl, or maybe even hide it in her bra. parker is an expert at hiding things, and when she does get caught, sheโ€™s a master of bullshitting her way out of it too. honestly, parkerโ€™s just a slick bitch.

    winging her way through school and life has always been easy for her. all she does is bullshit and use fancy words occasionally to show proper grammar, and hey, it usually works. like telling a teacher โ€˜i believe the corresponding angle is congruent to the supplementary acute angle which measures 65 degreesโ€™. she just has a way of mixing words and muttering pure bullshit to get her out of trouble, and things just end up working out perfectly for her. she does have a reputation amongst the students as a resident partier, but she usually gets along with everyone.

    โž  Jo struggled to make friends in Tennessee because he was very particular and strange.

    โž  After a warning from DCFS, Jo was sent to San Francisco to live with his paternal grandfather.

    โž  Jo has lived in SF for two years now and still doesn't feel settled in.

    โž  He smokes a lot but (very unfortunately) packs chocolate-flavored tobacco into a wooden pipe when he's at home.

    โž  Loves pouring peanuts into a bottle of coke. Most people are too afraid to ask questions about it.

    โž  Jo loves animals a lot but dogs have a special place in his heart.

    โž  Physical media is his thing. He carries paperbacks, owns DVDs, and prints the pictures that he takes on his smartphone.

    โž  He believes in ghosts, aliens, and cryptids; and wants to hear everyone's conspiracy theories.

    โž  Jo is not afraid to be the goofiest, dumbest, most embarrassing person in a room.


    Jo prefers physical media. His polaroids are prized possessions.


    Academic Reputation.

    Jo is hard to define. He could get along with just about anyone who has the patience for his silliness. He is prone to pretentious monologues at times, so he unfortunately has his fair share of enemies just the same. Ultimately, he doesn't fit in with most social groups but rather individuals nestled within them. He doesn't get invited to every party but also doesn't cause any problems at the parties where he is invited; so it seems that he leans generally neutral among the social landscape of things. He doesn't do his homework, not ever, but somehow does alright on the tests. He's not at the top of the class by any means but he's skating by with a passing grade and that's what really matters to him. He has no plans for the future and hasn't considered a single college.

    Jo's just not a cool guy. I can see most people in this group viewing him as an annoying guy with a bad vibe.

    Jo has no money to his name and very little practice in impressing anyone with his (very poor) taste.

    Jo has only ever paid attention to school sports when he's had a crush on, or been dating, someone involved in that group. He has no idea what any of it means and frankly, he's too afraid to ask.

    He's interested in their stories, beyond just asking where they come from. Unfortunately, he's not great at investing into friendships that aren't going to last very long.

    Jo gets along well with people who know what it's like to not really "belong" anywhere.

    jo's never been athletic, even on a skateboard. he just doesn't have the balance for it. he's not even good at recreational debauchery, really.

    the story so far
    โ€ born in san francisco, california to nearly 62 year old thomas and 42 year old marie
    โ€ she had two older brothers, the youngest of whom was 20 when she was born. since they were both already out of the house by then, she was effectively raised as an only child
    โ€ her mother had been a stay-at-home wife and while this was still true during calliope's life, marie was so uninvolved in her youngest child's life that thomas felt compelled to retire early in order to care for their daughter
    โ€ despite thomas being at peace with his decision, marie's resentment towards the entire situation caused stress on their marriage that they'd never experience prior. she reminds calliope of this rather frequently
    โ€ her dad's health had been declining since she was seven, but calliope was still the only one surprised by his death when she was ten. she and her mother found him in his favorite armchair after returning home from a playdate. despite knowing that her husband likely didn't have much time left, marie found herself wondering, often aloud, if maybe things would be different if she had been home instead of entertaining her unwanted daughter's whims
    โ€ as her mother had never held a formal job nor obtained a degree, they ultimately had to sell the gorgeous house the family had lived in for over twenty five years. they moved into a less than mediocre apartment owned by calli's eldest brother
    โ€ since the move, calliope has had significant freedom as it seems marie doesn't care too much what her daughter's involved in so long as it's not causing her any inconvenience. calliope doesn't harbor any ill feelings towards her mother, but she doesn't try as hard to interact with her anymore

    about calliope
    calliope's life has been spent on the sidelines, and she doesn't really mind it. it means she can people-watch without the people paying her much mind or getting uncomfortable. admittedly, knowing as much as she does about her peers, even the ones she's never directly interacted with, has lead to some awkward conversations. though she's not the type of person to seek someone out, she's always enthusiastic in conversation and loves when people come up to her.

    though she wouldn't consider herself naรฏve, she does tend to be too quick to trust people, even when she knows she shouldn't; in fact, perhaps more so. she desperately wants to believe that there is good in everyone, and does her best to try to bring it out of them. it helps that she's quick to find something she admires in just about every individual she encounters. she's not easily intimidated or swayed from her typically sunny disposition.

    she doesn't often concern herself with what others think of her, refusing to shy away from expressing herself as she pleases and being enthusiastic about her interests. as a result, she tends to be in her own world more often than not, spacing out frequently.

โœตWhen DeAndre likes someone he can be blunt, and sarcastically harsh. His father is a tough love kinda person. So itโ€™s the only way DeAndre knows to show affection.
โœตBecause his father is his only family in Washington, since moving from Baltimore, because of how rough it was. Heโ€™s lonely, his only connection dishes out tough love. So he hides his loneliness with sarcasm. There is very little that hurts him and heโ€™ll joke around. Masking it as enjoying life but itโ€™s really that heโ€™s lonely.
โœตWhen he likes you, heโ€™s actually loyal. Heโ€™ll take a bullet for you without a second thought. Take the blame for a situation if it means youโ€™re okay. But itโ€™s a general rollercoaster to get there. Again, he's accustomed to that tough love mentality.
โœตDeAndre is an immense extrovert. Having the connections, he generally clicks with the cliques. A part of the football team, partier, can relate to the outsiders but behind that extrovert visage, is a lonely man who sometimes thinks about taking drastic measures. Especially when heโ€™s alone, without his music.
โœตHe has no problem putting people in awkward situations. Heโ€™ll flirt with your mom because momโ€™s usually respond back in a flirtatious manner. Making it bluntly obvious heโ€™s doing it to bother you, sarcastically of course.
โœตHeโ€™s an exceptional Wide Receiver for the high school football team. Standing at 6' 3" he's an amazing wideout. However he doesnโ€™t like it. He has some College Football schools looking at him for recruiting purposes. But he doesnโ€™t want to pursue it. His father pushes him into it. So he's conflicted, he wants to do right by his father but at the same time. When can he live his desired life?
โœตDeAndre is known to do a stylish dance for every touchdown he scores. If he's gonna play football he'll make sure his own style comes out as well.
โœตDeAndre has his own stylish dancing style that he's active with. He loves teaching people how to street dance. Basically those videos you watch on tiktok of performers on the street. That's street dancing and outside of being a lyricist, and music, it's his second passion.
โœตHe loves music, rap being his genre of choice. Heโ€™s often listening, or spitting various lyrics whenever he isnโ€™t living life to the fullest.
โœตDeAndre's dream is becoming a lyricist rapper, whenever he isn't partying, or practicing football. He's writing lyrics. Often seen 'spitting' lyrics he loves, or some that he's created on his own.


Sometimes you hear those stories of music saving peoples lives. You feel like it's just a stretch, something that people say because it sounds cool. Without rap, DeAndre isn't sure where he'd be. Probably six feet under. He lives his life just focused on trying to enjoy it. Trying to make his old man satisfied but that pressure causes him to just soak the party life in. Trying to live his life like the famous rap stars he looks up to.


Academic Reputation.

DeAndre is immensely outgoing, an extrovert. He could find common ground in almost anyone. He doesn't hesitate being an ass when necessary, however. He just has that โ€˜swagโ€™ that he generally pulls off. But even he has enemies, naturally. Some people just don't โ€˜likeโ€™ his style. Which he understands, itโ€™s something he understands growing up with his โ€˜upbringingโ€™ but he doesn't let it bother him. He grew up with thick skin and kept โ€˜swaggingโ€™ it up and enjoyed the party. But unless youโ€™re close to him he never really opens up. He thinks of himself as the real life Joker. Hiding behind a smile. He just naturally finds some typical common ground, and if you don't like his style, he won't back down so heโ€™d expect a put up, or shut up scenario. Generally speaking, he has a โ€˜thug lifeโ€™ mentality and it isn't what you know, it's who you know.

DeAndre gets along with them. He is generally known throughout school as well. It just isn't his personality. Though their friendships are generally fake. He'll acknowledge you but the progress seems fake unless they really try and get to know DeAndre. Or they're both wasted together. About the only real connection is some of the populars or preps are on the football team and DeAndre is the star wide receiver. But it's not something he's proud of. His father is more proud of it than him.

Kyan, first and foremost, is an athlete - he is a gymnast and he is doing everything he can to be the best. Born and raised to a single mother who had to hustle to give Kyan a good life, he grew up believing that if you weren't the best, you were no-one. This is a standard that Kyan only sets for himself; he puts an immense amount of pressure on himself to be at the top, always. His mother has drilled that idea into him, telling him over and over that she didn't work her life away to give him the life he has, just for him to throw it away.

Kyan is a likeable guy. He is friendly and kind, though sometimes a bit preoccupied with gymnastics and his own thoughts. He doesn't see himself as better than anyone else; in fact, he often thinks quite lowly of himself, always believing he can be and do better. Kyan has a reputation for not being particularly fun - he's nice to hang out with, but doesn't drink at parties (if he even goes). He spends the vast majority of his time practicing and working out, to the point of sometimes hurting himself.




Academic Reputation.

Not many people dislike Kyan - he's pretty inoffensive to most. The crowds he hangs out with may influence people to draw stereotypes about him, but he has never had any scandals or done anything awful to anyone.

    A couple years ago, Harley moved from Chicago to San Francisco to live with her grandparents. No, she doesn't really mention any details as to why she had to, and Harley tends to keep most things close to her chest. She doesn't open up super easily, and she can sometimes come across as stuck up or cold because of that.

    Harley is a huge overachiever and a perfectionist. She doesn't want to just do good -- she wants to the best, and she puts everything into the sports that she's in, and into her schoolwork. Right now, her sports are pretty simple: soccer, cheer, and track. She used to do dance as well, and still has a passion for it, although it's kind of taken a backseat to everything else in her life.

Standing at five foot five even, maybe five seven if you count the volume added by her wild crown of curls that's usually either lazily styled or tossed up in a messy bun or perhaps a claw clip if she's feeling fancy. Her build is average but the rest of her is anything but, Ines Angelica Burke is very much a classic case of "What you see is what you get." She's a little bit frazzled and eclectic, and so is her sense of humor and personality. Perfectly matching her bold blue eyes and often pouty pink lips. Both of which compliment her warm and barely tanned skin with extreme harmony.


Academic Reputation.

Ines Burke is known by her teachers as being a decent student most of the time, even better when she actually applies herself. If the subject holds her interest she has proven herself to be a gifted writer and even rather clever in most STEM subjects, except math. However her own desire for attention and her inability to resist an opportunity for a good joke often thwart her chances at being a solid student for good. Her peers consider her good comedic relief from the the drudgery of classes and irritation of whichever clique annoys them the most. They know she can be counted on for a good time with her casual and fun attitude, although she doesn't get on with everyone considering she's not afraid to say what she thinks which isn't always what others want to hear.

- the self-claimed biggest fan and elitist of fantasy novels, comics, animes and anything in between - fun things to be labeled with as he thinks
- Holds a deadly grudge against cats (allergy) and vice versa (natural dislike)
- No matter who asks about something video game or IT related, he would help them out without a second thought
- If he hears a conversation he tends to join with a sardonic comment, then walk away
- a chronic daydreamer with cloudy eyes and idiotic expression
- barely feels shame, probably even has a kink for coming off as awkward and/or pathetic
- even when he's serious, he sounds passive-aggressive *nervous, serious blinking*

Something else: Emil can't quite put his finger on it but behind the magical clouds of his interest, behind the green and grey smoke, shared with friends, behind the whimsical mist of his antics; there's something. An undefined, undevelopped feeling that lingers on the borders of his consciousness, waiting for the right moment to increase its itchy, unpleasant effect on Emil. He tries not to think about it but there are nights when you have to...with the academic year a kind of existential dread is born. A sneaky, uneasy sensation, hinting that something or everything is not right.

Academic Reputation.
As most students, Emil is an average student too: he tries to survive school in these modern days without any dream or goal. He finds literature and IT interesting enough to pay attention, art and PE classes make him sweat but somehow he still manages to enjoy them. The rest of the classes do not move a thing in him. Teachers have mixed feelings about him. On one hand he is just the usual demotivated student, on the other hand he can be really productive or destructive if he really wants to. In the end, nothing too memorable but can be a student who feels good to teach.
THE POPULARS AND PREPS
"Maybe I'm too prejudiced with the maintainers of this highschool cast system but...I don't know I dislike them. Some humbleness never hurt." - For every fault of this system Emil blames the popular kids, their relationship would be rather negative if they found him important. However, in general they don't really care about Emil at all.

"I like them. Yeah, seriously, I think they are funny...they don't seem to notice it though" - Emil could despise them for their arrogance and wealth but he chose to make fun of them instead. Because they don't seem to always get what he says, he allows himself more cruel jokes with the Binches. Similar to the populars, Emil is probably ignored or is thought of as unpleasant company. In any way, it's negative from at least one side.

THE FRINGERS AND DRIFTERS
"Fringers? Dogs, mindless puppets...not like me though, I'm special...jokes aside, I wish the Drifters liked video games." - He finds the Fringers' 'kicking downward, kissing upward' mentality annoying and usually they are the one who try to put him back to his place which causes a negative relationship. The Drifters are fine, Emil finds them chill, so he doesn't really bother them and vice versa, a positive connection in general.

"I get it, okay? You're cool! Just...be quiet for a second, WILL YOU?!" - If there are a group which really annoys Emil, that's the Party-fiends. The skaters do not bother him too much, in contrast he can't stand the superficial, pathetic attempt to mask their insecurities...yeah, he really thinks he understands them. On the other hand, even if he don't admit it, Emil likes their ability to shake things up and make him get out of his comfort zone occassionally. So it's a mixed-bag.

Even if he recieved hints like that, Emil ignores his natural talent of presence, he doesn't need another hobby. I think it would be funny if he had to say no to them from time to time. Overall, the mutual sympathy and theatricality make their relationship a positive one in general.

โ˜พ Saw her first Broadway show when she was in the 5th grade and knew that she was destined for the theater. She collects PlayBill magazines and dreams of being on the cover of one in the future.
โ˜พ Singing came naturally to Ivy, and she refined her talents in the church choir.
โ˜พ Grandma Ireneโ€™s health started rapidly declining when Ivy was 13 years old and, as a last resort, Irene turned to Ivyโ€™s father for help.

Academically, Ivy excels in most of her classes, particularly English and History. She enjoys writing essays, especially when theyโ€™re argumentative, and has been known to โ€œhelp outโ€ a few of her classmates occasionally for a couple extra dollars. Though consistently making honor roll, she does tend to put more of her focus and energy into the theater. Ivy is well aware of how the majority of her peers perceive the โ€œtheater geeks:โ€ Annoying, loud, overly-dramatic, weird.... And while these things arenโ€™t necessarily untrue, she loves her friends regardless and doesnโ€™t really mind being lumped in with the rest of the weirdos. Sheโ€™s patiently waiting for the day someone tries to disrespect her for simply being herself.

    Ayden is extremely enigmatic. Extremely private, calm but suddenly spontaneous, extremely curious. Unable to stay focused on formal studies, he can be a challenge to predict. He tends to store up impulsive energy that explodes without warning, taking his interest in bold new directions. Aydenโ€™s decisions stem from a sense of practical realism. Instead of being overly cautious, avoiding stepping on toes to avoid having his toes stepped on, Ayden has a โ€˜do unto othersโ€™ attitude and calls fair play when retaliation is in order.

    The biggest issue Ayden faces is that he acts too soon, taking for granted his permissive nature and assuming that others are the same. Heโ€™ll be the first say something insensitive, get overly involved in something that doesnโ€™t need to involve him, roughhouse and play around, or to suddenly change his plans because something far more interesting to him has come up. He prefers to live without boundaries and guidelines, seeking for freedom to move about and colour outside of the lines if he wants to. In certain situations, he can become emotionally charged; in general, Aydenโ€™s emotions are particularly hard to predict.

    He was the outcome of a concoction of a broken, drunken heart and a prom night fiasco.

    His mother, April, had gone to the prom with someone who she thought she could spend the rest of her life with. Shortly after the announcement of Prom King and Queen, she found the โ€˜love of her lifeโ€™ finding his needs being fulfilled by another girl in a nearby locker room (thanks to the heads up on her best friend). Most girls wouldโ€™ve wanted to run off home and cry themselves to sleep. Not April. No, not at all. Enraged and heartbroken, April had made it her mission that she would just get absolutely plastered at the after-party.

    It was there where she met a tall, dark and handsome stranger. It was all quite a blur of how it happened, where it happened and why it happened; but ultimately, she woke up the next morning with her underwear around her ankles, alone in a spare bed. He was long gone and all he left behind was an unforgettable night that she would never forget. Obviously, she would never forget it because a month later, she was discovering just exactly what happens to good girls who donโ€™t use protection while drunk.

    Coming from a Christian household, her parents pleaded with her to keep the child. They said they would support her and their grandchild, let her live at theirs for as long as she pleased and help her through this crazy adventure of being a single mother. Thankfully, she agreed, and that was how Ayden Thompson came into the world. The Thompson family were incredibly blessed to have a grandson and treasured him dearly. One person who seemed to have an incredible bond with him was Aprilโ€™s younger brother, Cameron.

    Cameron was twelve years old when Ayden was born, and he was absolutely fascinated by the boy. He would often ask if he could babysit, and by the age of sixteen โ€“ when Ayden was four โ€“ he was blessed with the opportunity to do so. At one point, he was practically running his own mini daycare service as he cared for Ayden and another family friendโ€™s child or two. Ayden adored his Uncle Cameron, and was always keen to join him on his adventures.

    When Ayden turned seven, though, things began to getโ€ฆ weird. Cameron started to make suggestions to him about the other children that he was looking after too. He would ask if theyโ€™d like to play โ€˜Mums and Dadsโ€™, insisting that he would be the baby and Ayden and the family friendโ€™s child should be the parents. Cameron would further explain how Mums and Dads acted and showed their love for each other. They did by kissing and touching each other, apparently. Cameron would sit there, encouraging, and egging Ayden and the other child. But it never felt right. Especially when Cameron would tell them at the end of their little game that this was a super special secret game for only them.

    There was just somethingโ€ฆ not right.

    As the years went by, there was still this sinking feeling that took captive of his nerves. Uncle Cameron continued to pursue Ayden to play โ€˜Mums and Dadsโ€™ regardless of if the other children were there or not; taking on the role of Dad and insisting that Ayden play the Mum role. It felt wrong, but Uncle Cameron insisted it was okay. Deprived of sexual education from school, Ayden only had his Uncle to lean on for guidance.

    Thankfully, at the age of twelve, his mother was offered a new job in Redding. Ayden and his mother uprooted everything they had ever known in San Francisco and took the four-hour drive for their new life. Ayden thought moving to a new town would also bring a new life for him; that the memories of the past would cease to exist and he could create himself anew from scratch. But no matter what, there was always something dwelling in the dark, sitting in the pit of his stomach. Whatever dark forces were scratching and tearing him from in the side began to rage on the outside. He found himself unable to focus in school, constantly getting into fights for his quick-witted tongue, and struggling to sleep at night. The itching and pull inside only grew worse after family gatherings, with a large combination of confused and unregulated thoughts and feelings running around like a maniac in his core.

    No matter how much his mother tried to help with this anti-social behaviour, seeking help from therapists and even seeing if medication would help bring back her once sweet boy, it all continued. Sneaking out at night, meeting up with random strangers, joining parties to get drunk and high, and constantly getting into fights with anyone who so much glanced at him - he did it all just to feel something.

    He was slowly becoming a shell of a person who once existed.

    It came to a point that he had already been expelled by multiple schools, and surrounding schools were either too far away to commute to, too expensive to enroll, or had heard of the legend of Ayden Thompson that they rejected him before he could even try to apply. His mother was at her wits ends; she had always known Ayden had been on the rough side having gone through a period of his childhood where he would bite the children at school, smoosh bubble gum onto people's seats, or even cut the hair of the girls who sat in front of him. But she never thought he would progress to such a violent nature that she was seeing before her.

    So, much to his dismay, April decided it would be best to move back to San Fransisco. At least while back in their hometown she would be able to get some help from her parents whom Ayden had always loved and adored.

    He was two weeks back in his hometown. You'd think that everything would be so familiar to him, and yet everything felt so foreign. That he was experiencing this new place for the very first time. But there was one thing that was the same, and if it was even possible, his desire only grew more as he settled back into his grandparent's house where he had grown up his whole childhood; his want and need to feel something. Anything.

    Academic Reputation.

    Those who may have attended the same elementary and middle school as Ayden (having left when he was 6) were probably warned by others not to get close to the boy; known for picking out people's flaws, biting other children until the age of eight, cutting the hair of girls who sat in front of him, and the list continued. While having such a negative presence within the school, some may remember his uncle Cameron who generously offered a lot of his personal spare time to volunteer at the school. Cameron had quite the opposite personality from Ayden and always radiated with a smile, drawing people in. Some children at the school would often attempt to befriend Ayden just to try and spend more time while Cameron volunteered.

    For those who have yet to meet him, he may come across as cold and shut off. Ayden doesn't want to let people in, and whenever approached by others, he often just gazes at them like he's bored of all the words falling from their mouths. He won't communicate with them unless it's completely necessary, and even then his words are short and mostly huffed under his breath. He doesn't have the time to waste his energy and words on others. If you manage to get a full sentence out of him with more than five words, you should win a gold medal for such groundbreaking work. In a nutshell, Ayden's aura projects "don't bother me, and I won't bother you". And what happens if you bother him? Well... it would explain why he's been expelled by so many schools.
