K so like how dark this getting cuz iirc there was someone who a had down bad addict concept? Just wanna get the tone right cuz I have a couple ideas .

So is it on the darker grittier end or more like campy wicked or wiz of oz movie?

So I really don't want to lean really hard in either direction; this won't be edgy horror, but there also might not be loads of singing and comedy. The tone I'm really going for is a hopeful dread, insight, a sense of the ethereal. There will be some grit, and perhaps someone could sing, but for a majority of the story it will be a nice middle ground between those two extremes. Does that help?

Also, what are your ideas? I'd be curious to hear.

Another way of putting it is the reason YBR is tagged as 'multiple settings,' things from the Oz books, ala characters, concepts, and locations with be featured, but half of the story will consist of a tailored experience to the character itself along with that backdrop. Themes of worth in oneself will be prevalent.

K so just wanna make normies from 2020s

1 - happy go lucky and chatty skater chica, former skate/surf pro business owner - pandemic times
2 - friendly but kinda dumb singing, dancing lounge girlie - current
3 - friendly but aggressive big badass girl criminal - early AGI release

Oh, I really like 1 and 3. Someone in pandemic times or a criminal would make for some very interesting content.

doing a freaky ass ritual to stave off boredom honestly feels proper for what I went through in the Pandemic era.

Is using a real actor's fan art portrait for the character's appearance fine? I would like to use Dacre Montgomery's face, but I want to stay within the guidelines of using a drawn character.

Im guessing characters will go here?

I'mma just describe mine, easier for me.

If needed, MS paint to make a horrendous characture of a human being.

The Characters thread is linked at the top of this page, just for future reference.

The guidelines actually ask for something realistic, so either works within those confines.

As for FC dint int CHK say realistic photo?
Yep, exactly correct.

Just saw the face claim discrepancy in the character sheet, and fixed it to match the interest check; sorry for the confusion, everyone.

I didn't realize there were 'secret words' in the cs lmfao (the green text) while I was copying it
Another mistake on my part; I never use Dark Mode so I completely missed the fact that the green I chose is nearly invisible in that mode.
