Fantasy X-Clan Reborn

Two days later, Seth was perched on top of a building watching the one they were going to break into. Everyone had different instructions on where to be at first as to attract as little attention as possible. The sun was setting and once it completely ducked below the horizon he was to make his move. His job was to, at first, enter the building through the roof and freeze the doors containing security shut. He didn't know what the others were going to do, but he assumed they did.
He liked this plan, or more accurately, lack there of. There was a basic structure to it, but beyond that they were left to their own devices. At least Titan didn't pretend he knew how to use their powers better than them. Seth wasn't sure what he thought of Titan. The old man seemed to be going senile, but still maintained mental acuity. He claimed not to be controlling, but he was manipulative as demonstrated by him revealing some of that one girls past and saying Cain's name when he didn't.

The sun finally set and he kept into motion. He created an ice slide to the roof and quickly slid down, aware of the eyes from others watching. He paid them no attention, partly because he didn't know where any of them were, and found a hatch leading inside the building. It was locked, as expected, so he quickly froze a simple rune onto it that unlocked the door. He slipped inside and quickly found the doors he needed to seal. He froze them shut and strengthened it with runes. The others should be there soon.

(Create your own special job (like him sealing the doors). If you can't think of one, don't want to, or don't think you need to that's ok, just react to this.)
Hyjal had decided to let Pearl take care of the hacking. The girl had asked Titan to let her use a mech, one of the slimmer and more stealthy ones. Its suspension was amazing, allowing for a smooth walk, and the padding on the feet kept it silent. The moment Seth slipped in, Hyjal climbed up to the roof, shifting the silenced sniper from her shoulder to her hands. Without the mech, she knew she wouldn't be able to handle the recoil, and would probably get herself killed without some form of protection.

She waited for Seth to do his thing, picking off one of the workers most likely to see him and managing to time it just right so he didn't fall that far. The girl knew some workers would have to die if they wanted to keep this quiet and for no alarms to sound, and had resigned herself to that fact. She'd killed before, in a roundabout way, when someone used her bombs. It didn't make her the happiest, but she did what she had to.

She watched carefully, also keeping an eye on the scanners in the mech's inner screen and hoping no other people had a chance at finding Seth, as that would mean another person had to die.

Nat had attached herself two floors up on the exterior of the warehouse. Using gloves containing strong, powerful magnets, she pulled herself toward an entry point and ducked into the building. Her job was to find and access the central processing unit, place a computer chip in its circuit board and then join her fellow teammates in action. She knew little about hacking and chips but knew that by inserting the device into the computer, Pearl would be able to seamlessly track, monitor and access Paladin's data and security network without being traced. Without a doubt, Nat believed Pearl could probably do it without the small electronic device. She was an alien and all. However, it would be silly to risk it.

The young woman slid town the wall into the main security area. She could see that the door had already been sealed by Seth and there wasn't a human guard in sight - that made her whole job easier. In order to access the mainframe, she would have to venture down the hallway and from what she had seen in the past, it was probably coloured head to foot in unique security devices.

And, of course, she was right. Lasers. A wild smile ventured its way onto Nat's slim face as she examined the pattern of the light blue, shifting lines. Perhaps this would be more fun than she had thought. With a flick of the wrist, the young woman put on a pair of headphones - classical music always helped her concentrate. Time to move. She treated the field of moving lasers like a dance floor, any wrong move meaning either her being hurt or the security system sounding its powerful alarms. Maybe both. Down, Nat slid onto the floor, manoeuvring herself past the floating lasers. She did an aerial, moving her legs and arms to the beat of her music whilst avoiding contact with any of the slim, blue beams. Up, down, she continued to twist herself into new, highly uncomfortable positions. A drip of sweat flew down her brow. Now at the end, she almost tripped, yet managed to stable herself and lie on her back on the icy metal floor. Finally, she made it out, removed her headphones and wiped the sweat from her face.

The rest of the journey was spent by her dodging traps before placing the chip into a section of the circuit board.

Nox was perched on the south side of the building, the tar on her fingers and the toes of her boots making it easier to stay on the side of the building. The sun set and she felt Seth use his ice, "time to go" she said to herself, climbing up the rest of the wall and jumping through the hatch to the floor below. Seeing Seth had handled the security, she runs passed him, sparing him only a quick glance and a sadistic grin. Her job was to destroy robots and ensure that paladin couldn't make them again, at least not with the info--or people at this facility. She ran to the lowest floor, leaving behind the decapitated bodies of anyone that wasn't a part of her new team that got in her way.

(OOC: anyone want to join me in destroying stuff? @Lord Anubis?)

Before the day of the mission, Pearl had been checking the security system over and over again. Checking for traps, dead ends, alarms etc. The building isn't all that hard to hack but there are so many security facilities it's hard to keep track of all of them at once. And because of all the stress she was pouring over her computer, the only prediction she had received was that she would live. Not very encouraging.

She is currently sitting cross legged in a building nearby with her computer in front of her, frantically trying to disable traps that would notify Paladin of the mission. She had a clear view of the building from her window and could see who was coming in and out, which also puts her in the position of scout. She held the mug of tea next to her and took a long sip before going back to typing her way through the security.

"... and then Arduino just kept on hitting the guy! I mean, sure the guy had been shooting at us only a minute before, but he had surrendered! We didn't need to keep attacking him!"

"Which is why you two got into an argument?" the feminine voice on the phone asked.

"Yeah." Cindy answered. In fact it was because of this argument that she was now sitting on a skyscraper several miles away from the White Tower, talking to her mission coordinator and close friend.

"And he said he was just following orders, which you were all given, right?" Abigail asked, "Orders are orders, right? Don't you guys get in trouble if you don't follow them?"

"Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean it was right!" Cindy argued, "Didn't Einstein say that unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth?"

There was a laugh, "You have got to stop memorizing these motivational quotes! Look sweety, it's a sad truth but there are very few people who are as willing, or able, to ask questions like you do. Arduino may just be one of those people that, when told to do something just does it. It's not necessarily a bad thing it just means that... Hold on a sec..." The phone went quiet for a few second before Abigail spoke up again. "Okay. That was... weird."

"What's up?"

"A silent alarm just went off in sector twelve, but only for a literal second. Looks like it came from one of our robotics factory. Hmm... It's probably a false alarm, but could I get you to go check it out anyways? Better safe than sorry, right?"

"Sure!" Cindy answered, climbing to her feet. "I could use the distraction. Hey, can we continue talking about this afterwards."

"Of course, sweetheart."

"Thanks. Solaris out." With that Cindy ended the call, slipped the phone into her boot, and flew off towards sector twelve...

Kain leaned against the beams of the factors main floor ceiling. Hidden above the lights in darkness he watched the factory move about in its normal routine. He had slipped in at dusk using his intangible form. He had fed on two guards draining them to the point of black out. There body's were well hidden inside supply crates out back. Then he caught the scent of fresh blood lingering in the air. He turned his head looking towards the door, as his eyes glowed red. His vision showed a etherial trail of blood flowing in from the hall. He smiled " looks like the party has started!" Kain said in a excited tone. He got up from his position looking around the room for targets.

Kain picked up 6 normal crew members, and 6 guards stationed around the room. Well along with 2 mechanical unites it seemed exiting. Kain leaped off of the beam falling gracefully to the floor leaving only a somewhat audible sound from his feet landing on the floor. Kain quickly proceeded behind a stack of large steel crates. He brought his hand up to his mouth using his teeth to pierce his wrist. Blood flowed out into his hand, as he spoke quietly" Hecate goddess of magic And Necromancy release upon this field the mist of eternal sleep." After speaking these words kain shot out his hand the blood erupted into a large cloud of dark green mist. It flowed quickly into the large room the workers, and guards seemingly fell within a minutes time to the ground lifeless. Their body's grew pale, cold to the touch life seemingly pulled from heir bodies. The mist lingered for a bit, before dissipating into thin air. Kain smiled the blood swirled around his hand, as he trusted it upward" come Ragnarok!" He said his vamperic blade once again was born into the material world. Kain sprouted his wings quickly taking flight he flew straight towards the first mech landing on its back. He drove his sword straight through its back out from the chest. He brought his blade upwards cutting through the middle. Using his hands kain grabbed the two halfs, and ripped the mech in half tossing the pics to wither side. He turned to the other mech which now was looking right at him. Kain smiled" now it's your turn!* he said his eyes a bright crimson red.

Seth just shook his head as he passed the carnage, kicking a bodyless head out of the way. Killing them was a waste of their time and resources. He wasn't against killing if it came down to it, but killing mindlessly was just nonsense. Their goal was technology, not night guards who were working this job to make a living. Maybe that's why his assignment was to seal off as many guards as possible, to stop as much mindless slaughtering as possible.

A guard rounded the corner ahead of him and let off a few shots. Most of them missed and the ones that did hit just harmlessly deflected off of his armor. Seth flicked his wrist and what looked like a mini blizard flew at the guard. When it hit, the guard was frozen to the wall behind him and knocked unconcious. He was the only one who could do that, exempt maybe Ms. Mimic, but he didn't imagine the others would trouble simply incapacitating them as he did.

He reached an elevator shaft and forced the doors open. The elevator was above him, so he just used the ice to lower him down to the lowest level. Upon opening those doors, he saw a small army of robots. A few were comming online. He grew his claws and lept into action, trying to tear them appart before they became fully functional. Unbeknown to him, many robots were already active and aiming at him to protect the others.

(Sorry for the delay. I've been dealing with some less than pleasant things IRL, mainly emotions. @Lord Anubis While I appreciate the enthusiasm, most of the guards are already locked up and you just killed at least 20 in the same room. I would have less of a problem if this was down with the rest of the robots, but as far as I can tell that all happened in the lobby. Speaking of which, why would there be the robots in the lobby that Paladin is trying to keep out of public eye?)

(sorry i should of bin more clear on my location. Kain did this in one of the main factory rooms where the robots are being constructed.)
