Fantasy X-Clan Reborn

She nodds at Kain and gets to her feet. "Why couldn't I access his power?" She thought to herself. Walking over to join the others, staying near the back, listening to the chatter of the others introducing themselves. She would only tell them her name, nothing else.

Nat crossed her arms. In her mind, she contemplated removing her mask. She watched as Titan revealed himself as Garret Velross. When he meantioned his business, she knew that she had heard that name somewhere before. She bit her lip. So, he was a wealthy man playing hero - of course. Nat held a serious grudge toward those rich guys. She shifted from one foot to the other as she listened to John.
"Well, I bet you're all going to find out one way or another." She mumbled. The young woman removed her metal mask to reveal her face. "My name is Natasha Stanton. You guys can just call me Nat though." Nat shrugged.
-=(John Star - NY - HQ...?)=-

John didn't know what he was expecting, but, it wasn't exactly that. "You're prettier than I thought." He said nonchalantly, shrugging.

Everything was so weird; the general idea of this place, the people running "Paladin", everyone here... It kinda was a lot to take in, especially in a single day.

How long has he been here? He arrived just before midnight. Whatever time it
was, seemed to be kinda late. John was exhausted, injured, and his mind was overload.

John took another look at his wing; didn't seem worse, no change. His gaze returned to the strange beings he was with, then again, what right did he have to call these others
strange? He is quite literally half stars.

"My name is Seth," he said. "As I'm sure many of you have figured out, I'm an ice Mage." Seth took another look around at everyone. So he still wasn't sure what his combat partner could do for sure, but her recognized a mechanical genius (with a robotic arm?), some son of a star God, someone who could mimick powers, some other Mage maybe, and someone who's power he didn't identify. Maybe they didn't have one and was just some super skilled assassin or something like that. It was all very strange.

Glaring at everyone, then at Titon himself, Nox steps forward out of the shadows. "Moje ime je Belladonna Nox, I work as an assassin of the Black Sun and whoever else can pay enough." She waits silently to gage the reactions of the others.

Whilst the others were introducing themselves, Pearl was debating whether to reveal her true identity. Some her feelings tell she could trust, others she was completely blank about. She especially didn't trust the assassin. There has been a few assassination attempts on her family, maybe she had a hand in one of them. She stood up straight and cleared her throat.

"Hello everyone, my English name is Pearl, I am a Midorian from Mandred. I am a hacker trying to stop Paladin from rising to power. I will be completely honest and say that is not the most interesting thing about me but I don't trust some of the people here with information like that." She said trying to be as friendly as possible. Usually, she doesn't go out of her way to be friendly, but trust was very important in a team and she really wanted to trust these people.

Nat lifted an eyebrow at John's comment. "What is that supposed to mean?" She said, placing a hand on her hip. However, she was quick to withdraw her statement, listening to the other individuals introduce themselves. Her hands fiddled with her metal mask as the others spoke. With each new introduction, she grew increasingly intreged. Perhaps joining this group would be interesting after all.

Kain awaited everyone to introduce themselves. Listening to each one carefully he also read their expressions. It was interesting to say the least how each individual expressed themselves. Some could be lying about the information being given out loud, but he didn't really mind. Kain looked up from his spot over to titan" Normally i would be the one to introduce myself, but i am interested to hear what you know about me Mr. Titan." he said in a calm relaxed tone. The hint of curiosity was given as well with his statement.

@Shog

"Tisk tisk," Titan replied. "You know, it's very rude to not introduce yourself, Kain, especially after everyone else has. Now, speaking frankly, there isn't much from the modern world to tell about you. To the best of my knowledge there is no limit to the natural age of a vampire, so you're age is a mystery to me. What I do know just about everything you have done since crashing back on earth six months ago. Do you want me to emphasize any finer details? I can do that."

(If you do need me to elaborate more send the info over a PM. What I would like is to just move on, though.)

Malkavian smiled before bowing his head" No that wont be necessary, and indeed it was rather rude of me. My name as you all know now is Kain last name Veilborn it is a pleasure to meet you all!" he said in a calm yet polite tone. He raised his head standing tall as he was before. Kain leaned again once more against the metal pillar.

(Its quite alright to move forward :) .)

"Well, now that that's settled, let's continue," Titan said before turning to his computer. On a large screen above him the blueprints for a smaller Paladin building popped up. "This attack is going to be a multi-staged process. Since it will be your first time working together, I figured this would be simple and small enough job to to start with. Beneath this unassuming building, Paladin is making humanoid robots. The active ones don't have a purpose except to protect the production line. Your job is is to find a way in, preferably without calling upon every hero in the city, and destroy every robot and the machines making them. I'll give you each information regarding where this building is located and when you are meeting. Any questions?"

-=(John Star - NY - HQ...?)=-

John shifted his weight from foot-to-foot, it sounded like the job was easy enough; very few details in the plan. Easy.

He looked at the others, he'd be working with them. Was he ready for this commitment? No. Was he going to do it anyway? Hell yeah.

But, one thing was the problem. "I mean, I'm up for this, but, uh, I think I
might need small medical attention...?" He moved his disturbed left wing, a small smile was on his face.

"Other then that, I'm good."

@Shog

"I'm no doctor, but if you can trust my robots to fix it then you're in luck," Titan replied. "Just say the word when you're ready."

Pearl raised her hand.

"Um, question. Is the security system biometrics protected? I mean, I could probably figure it out myself if you didn't know. If we need to get in we need to get through the lasers and traps and stuff." She said, cringing slightly at her poor choice of words.

Only the most important facilities are biometrics protected in Paladin mostly because it's hard to maintain and expensive to build. She assumed this wan't the case because of all the workers that would be going in and out and building the robots. Paladin wouldn't be bothered to make them a biometrics account. But then again, what did she know. This whole mission has just been, here are your people, here's what your doing, now go do it. It's probably, 2:00 am and she was getting pretty tired.

Hyjal spoke up. "Last I checked, they were trying to implement a form of protection for it, but it's really early in the beginning stages. A prototype is being used in the mean time. If you guys let me bring a computer of some form, I can hack in and deactivate it. You'd have to smash it before one of the engineers there or back at Paladin noticed, though."

She didn't have any thoughts on this mission, really. It was simple enough. Different from the demanding and complex orders Paladin issued.

((Sorry I don't have much to post.)

John shrugged, "I doubt robots could do such things, but sure." He looked at the two women as they spoke, they did have fair points.

He messed with the hem of his black shirt, his green eyes danced around the room, not settling for one place.

@Shog

She turned around to face the mechanic.

"Nah, it's fine. I can hack it. They'll need your mech in the field." She said, gesturing towards the others.

Pearl didn't want to brag but she could probably hack faster than her.

@Trombone Geek

Nox frowned, "Just the robots? Not any of their computers or people?" Made sense that a Hero would only want damage control and trying to prevent future problems. But she wasn't a hero, she wanted them all to pay for everything that they had ever done wrong.

Titan imputed a few commands and a robot with many different arms extending from it rose from a pod in the ground. Another smaller robot came hovering over and scanned Johan, focusing on the dislocated bone. Then a few of the other robot's arms reached over and grabbed various locations around the dislocated wing. Without waiting for John to give any indication he was ready, the robot popped the bone back into it's sockets. The robots then retreated to where they came from. "Sorry, the medical programs are rough at best. Regardless, they do the job."

Titan then turned his attention to Nox. "If you attack the few people staffed there I can't stop you, but they pose no threat. If Paladin sends in heroes then feel free to fight them. And you have a fair point, so let me rephrase the mission. Destroy any and all technology inside that building. The robots are the primary objective and if one gets away unscathed it's one too many." He then grabbed some tablets much like the ones they all found to guide them here and passed out one to each person. "These tablets operate in the same way as the ones you already possess, but these ones will receive information on future missions. They will only activate to your touch because they only recognize your DNA. This compound will serve as our HQ, but not your living quarters unless you request it. The tablets hold information on other ways to enter this place, but for now you will leave the way you came. Your tablet has more information, but remember to meet here again in two days so we can attack. This first mission should be easy, but you all need to learn to work together and the only way to do that is through experience."

Nat held her metal mask in her left hand with a stern grip. She bit her lip and passed a glance to each individual that surrounded her - her supposed 'teammates'. Her attention redirected back to Titan. "Sounds easy." She shrugged. Being a theif, the idea of lasers and other security barriers did not phase her. What did phase her, however, was the idea of destroying robots. She was not a fighter, unlike her abilities might suggest. The young woman placed a hand on her hip.

Seth's face turned to concern and he reached into his pocket to pull out what appeared to be a small hawk feather. He whispered some words from an unknown language and the feather dully glowed for a moment. "While this has been fun and all, I have a summoning ceremony to crash," he said, slipping the feather back into his pocket. "Catch you guys in a couple of days." His ice armor grew back onto himself. He himself then turned into an immobile ice statue as he took the place of one of the ones he had created earlier outside. The statue he left behind with the others then broke into tiny shards, along with the rest he had created.

Nox walked at a measured pace over to Titan, "I request quarters here. It would be quite dangerous for both your other heroes and myself, for me to journey back and forth between here and my current bolt-hole. Knowing that I most likely have killed a loved one or an acquaintance of the others, I am prepared to defend myself should the need arise." She patiently waited for the old man's response, her face impassive and blank.

Hyjal nodded at Nox's words, standing up. "I'd like to do the same. If I go back, Paladin'll know I'm up to something." It was true. Hyjal almost never left her work, except for food and the necessities, but even then she was still mostly on the compound. It had been hard enough to hide her work from the corrupt organization.

Plus, she'd like to learn more from Titan, if he was willing to teach her. The guy wasn't exactly in his prime, though, so she wouldn't push him. Not that he was weak; Hyjal knew he was far from it. His intelligence made her work look like child's play, and she wanted to get that good.

"Both can be arranged," Titan replied. "I'll even send in some drones to help get some of your belongings. And I understand that you are prepared, but I find it doubtful that you have killed anyone besides my sister. Most people here are, no offense, nobodies. You're off of Paladin's radar. Nat might be the exception, but the underground is vast. Regardless, they should have the self control and foresight to keep their temper in check."

(I'm going to time skip soon, so make closing posts and try to interact as little as possible.)

Nat watched as Seth left, followed by the requests of Nox and Hyjal. The young woman placed her metal mask back on and stretched her limbs. "Well, I better go back to the vast underground then." She said, starting to stride toward the elevator, "Cya 'team'."

Not shifting her attention, nor turning back, she lifted her arm and waved her hand as a signal of goodbye. The young woman entered the elevator, and with that, she was gone.

Two days later, Seth was perched on top of a building watching the one they were going to break into. Everyone had different instructions on where to be at first as to attract as little attention as possible. The sun was setting and once it completely ducked below the horizon he was to make his move. His job was to, at first, enter the building through the roof and freeze the doors containing security shut. He didn't know what the others were going to do, but he assumed they did.

He liked this plan, or more accurately, lack there of. There was a basic structure to it, but beyond that they were left to their own devices. At least Titan didn't pretend he knew how to use their powers better than them. Seth wasn't sure what he thought of Titan. The old man seemed to be going senile, but still maintained mental acuity. He claimed not to be controlling, but he was manipulative as demonstrated by him revealing some of that one girls past and saying Cain's name when he didn't.

The sun finally set and he kept into motion. He created an ice slide to the roof and quickly slid down, aware of the eyes from others watching. He paid them no attention, partly because he didn't know where any of them were, and found a hatch leading inside the building. It was locked, as expected, so he quickly froze a simple rune onto it that unlocked the door. He slipped inside and quickly found the doors he needed to seal. He froze them shut and strengthened it with runes. The others should be there soon.

(Create your own special job (like him sealing the doors). If you can't think of one, don't want to, or don't think you need to that's ok, just react to this.)
