It's been mentioned several times that players can be knocked out. I think that the non-traitors are supposed to not kill people just 'dismantle' the factions. The traitors are the ones who want things to 'get bloody.' Though I honestly don't know how to simply knock another character out.

Besides, I imagine whoever did it didn't do it intentionally. Probably forgot who was living or dead. Unless they have some ability we don't know about, but somehow I doubt that.
