France took over the Netherlands? If so, what about resistance? During WWII when Germany occupied the Netherlands, they were opposed with fierce resistant by locals even after capitulation.

Also, how did they take the Netherlands. We capitulated so fast in WWII because Germany bombed Rotterdam and threatened to bomb other cities. We could have kept up against them longer if they did not bomb a city to the ground (a lot of civilian deaths). Anyway... I don't think it will work now since they took the Netherlands.

Belgium invaded them with a ridiculously large army. Infact, 25% of his population was in the military, which is why a few turns later his economy collapsed and France took him over without a fight.
