Belgium invaded them with a ridiculously large army. Infact, 25% of his population was in the military, which is why a few turns later his economy collapsed and France took him over without a fight.

Also, I wonder... didn't they had a treaty? (Treaty of London (1839) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Yeah, Belgium blatantly violated that treaty. However, it's not the worst he did, because, as Spain, he orchestrated a series of terror attacks on London and San Diego which will cost him his second life in this game.

Well, France is allied with Spain, and Spain is at war with the U.K. Due to being a terrorist, and France was building 6 La Fantastique destroyers for Italy, and a secret project I'll have to pm about later, but that's about it

They did some fighting against Japan, are allied with Spain so yeah you can either abandon them or get rekt in that regard. Some other stuff iim sure I cant remember.

Well getting France's equipment numbers is a bit difficult to just post here (on mobile can't blame me), but you can find it on page 19 of the main tab, turn 20. It is currently 1935 with research tech limit at 1945, no jets until 1940 game time (thanks to Vader and Japan) and after Vader does his job, it'll be turn 23

France already in cooperated Belgiums stuff and the Dutch land and air forces were wiped out, the navy I'm not sure, I'll see if I can find out though

Ok as it turns out we erred. France let the Netherlands go. However, the Netherlands is in France's faction and I think there's a kind of Warsaw pact deal there.
