Reve the Third

The King of Slavadia
An entity stands in a lone field of patchy grass. No body to show them, no obvious gender to define them; A lone ball of blue glowing essence, with 2 cyan eyes glowing brighter than its own structure. the ball is followed by a wispy tail that strains from the rest of itself.

The presence of this being is a rather mysterious one; no one can be sure as who or what this is. A spirit, a ghost, a wisp... maybe something new altogether. But one thing's for sure: it's waiting... waiting for something or someone to come around, waiting in a world of an unknown, undiscovered world of magic.

Then, as much time passes, Something appears towards them at a distance...

Atticus flew across the plain, the sun bouncing off the goldenness of his wings in the most majestic way. Flight was effortless – his wings flapped maybe once in a great while yet the air still held him, perfectly balanced and unintentionally beautiful. Risetta saw him and smiled. She chased his shadow as it floated across the grass although she had no hope in hell of keeping up with it. His speed in the sky was unmatched compared to her speed on the ground.

Atticus, wait up!” Risetta called out to her sky soaring friend.

Atticus heard the little girl call out to him as she slowly faded out of his vision. He didn’t really care that she was left behind – he could always go back and find her later because her scent was so obvious to him now. He had become accustomed to it which really wasn’t something he ever expected to happen with anyone. He hadn’t planned on knowing people that well, ever. The Griffen’s eyes shifted to search the ground; he wasn’t looking for anything in particular. It had just been a while since he had occupied these particular skies. His eyes fell upon a flame. As he looked closer, he realized that it wasn’t quite a flame. Maybe it was closer to a blue wisp, but he didn’t quite think that described it well either. It had the feel of life, but it appeared to be just a glowing orb… an essence of light. Atticus turned his wings to fetch the child.

Child… girl… I found something that you ought to see. It is life, but not in any way I have ever seen, and there are many things I have seen in this world, he spoke into Risetta’s mind. He could sense the child’s eagerness, her curiosity, her sense of being that always seemed to lead her into trouble. Atticus got back to her quickly enough.

“Can I ride you?!” Risetta inquired, her eyes glowing at the mere thought. The point of her tail swiped a lock of hair from her emerald eyes in the strangest manner. Atticus would’ve thought it was subconscious.

Child, this isn’t the time for idle ideas or silly inquiries when you already know the answers. No! His voice boomed as a command inside her head and she knew the sheer force of the power in his words would’ve knocked her over if they had been voiced verbally. He lifted himself into the air once again and picked the girl up in his claws, flying her towards the new essence.

Atticus dropped Risetta lightly on her feet and she ran towards the glowing blue essence of light. She reached out her hand to touch it but stopped herself barely short of it. “What is it?”

The entity Looks upon the girl right next to it. And with an eerie voice that you would expect to hear from it, it simply says to her, "So you've finally come... and the griffin in the sky is here as well... so my visions have predicted."

The entity was about 2/3 her size, with the unstable energy contained in the ghostly body surrounding it being the size of her own head; floating to her level to where the tail reaches just below her waist. The glowing essence around the entity seems to come from within the entity; energy from inside illuminates so brightly, that one would even be able to see them from literally a mile away.

"You two are the first to find me..." it says in the same eerie voice, "it's only a matter of time before the others come as well."

Atticus recoiled, wrapping his tail around the child and pulling her back with him as the being spoke. He wasn't used to being a familiar being to someone who he didn't know in a similarly familiar manner and he wasn't about to break that tradition without good reason. Then he heard it mention that others would be coming and his head turned to the skies, blue as ever. Without another thought beyond a single flap of his majestic wings, Atticus took flight leaving Risetta on the ground. I don't know what you are, who you are or how you have come to know of myself or the child, he directed his words at the energy filled entity, but if others are coming, they may pose a threat. The last people we encountered tried to kill the girl on sight - not too fond of demons were they.

Risetta saw the Griffin reclaim his sky, for there was no way it would ever belong to anyone else in her mind, and she dropped to the ground landing on her butt. The child was completely unaware of the ferocity with which Atticus now defended her, but Atticus had meant for it to be that way. Instead, Risetta once again admired the glowing essence standing before her and held out her own palm. She imagined she had a tiny energy flame hovering there, a power she rarely dared dream off. Alas, nothing happened. She looked again to the flow. "Atticus sneaks up on others. No one sneaks up on him," was her simple explanation of her friend's odd behavior. "Will you go with him, or will you wait here with me?" Risetta turned her head a bit, confused by her own question. Then she added, "I would very much like it if you stayed with me because it seems Atticus is always coming and leaving."

"He'll come back eventually... he can only escape destiny for so long..." the mere words seemed to have the power to send shivers down even down the spine of the bravest warrior...

There's a sudden flash in its eyes, not bright enough to blind anybody, but enough to cause a reaction. a hallow, see-through log made magically, in the color of cyan, starts to be created right next to them. the eyes dim down when it finishes being created. the entity floats over to the log and lies its tail upon the log, as if sitting on it... its tail curved upon the log in the form that makes it looks like it sits upon the magic, cyan, see-through log.

"Sit with me," it says looking directly at Risetta, "We might as well rest as we wait for the others."

Risetta stared at the entity for a moment, confused. She had honestly been completely comfortable sitting on the grass, but she decided that it didn't matter. She really wanted this thing to like her because Atticus was great and all, but she was sure talking to someone else would be amusing and possibly enlightening. She sprung to her feet by using her tail as a spring and Risetta couldn't hold back a slight giggle at the fun of it. She then took a seat next to the glowing essence on the... log? Risetta decided that, yes, it was a log.

"So... what should I call you?" Risetta inquired. "I am called Risetta and my mother's surname was Lanis, but Atticus doesn't usually use that to refer to me. And you mentioned something about Atticus's destiny... do you know my destiny? I think Atticus does but he won't tell me. Am I going to find my father someday? He is a demon but I don't know which one. Atticus says I shouldn't look for him, but I never knew my mother and I have this sense that my father still exists so I can't help but be curious." Risetta stopped herself for a moment realizing she had kind of bombarded it with questions and it might not be used to that. "Anyway, what do I call you?"

"I... do not know..." the entity says in a sincere voice, "I've only exsisted in this realm for a few hours... I've only seen visions of you, Atticus, and 2 others, all following me to somewhere. It's odd... I don't know my name, I didn't know your or his name until you told me... All I've seen is a vague future... a future that will become more and more clear as time goes on..."

The entity's eyes glow again, this time, forming in front of them a huge, yet short stump about 3 feet in diameter, cyan and see-through just like the stump. A few teacups circle around the stump, with a teapot in the center, sitting right next to a sugar pot which sugar is seen through the see-through magic. a brownish green liquid is seen inside the see-through teapot... definitely some kind of hot tea by the looks of it. The eyes dim again once the creation is complete.

"I may look and sound creepy," The entity says as two of the cups, the teapot and the sugar begins to float towards them, "But it's not like I decided to be this way..." the tea pot pours the hot liquid into both cups. an inanimate spoon scoops out the sugar and puts in a couple spoons of sugar into each cup, mixing it into both of them. the teapot, sugar and spoon go back to their proper places, while the two teacups float in front of both the entity and Risetta.

The entity attempts to tilt the liquid into itself, only for it to go through the entity, spilling down onto the log, rolling all the way to the ground. The entity just looks down in sorrow and sighs... "Imagine if I did have a choice..."

Risetta frowned. "But you do have a choice... it starts with picking a name. That's not a choice most people get, but you do because you don't have parents to choose for you. Then you get to choose what you do in this world, just like me, because you are what you do, not what you are. That's what Atticus always tells me. I'm a demon child but that doesn't mean I am bad."

When one of the tea cups floated towards her, Risetta swatted it away casually with her tail. She had never been a fan of overly fancy things like tea.

"So can I call you..." Risetta paused to think for a moment, "Light?"

After seeing her swat away the tea, the cup disappears completely with the liquid.

The entity squints its eyes... it's very odd to see the tiny lights that are its eyes form into a squinting shape. "Hmm..." it says, thinking long and hard about what she just said... "I guess you can call me... I don't know... um..." It takes them a long good while to think of it... "Call me Lumi--no, um, Lumis--well... actually, more along the lines of... uh... I don't know... something that sounds right..." the spirit sighs, "I'm not so sure if I'm too good at making my own decisions..."

Lita gazed at the mysterious blue ball of light far away. As a prairie nymph, she enjoyed roaming the endless rolling landscape of clean, healthy grass. Lately, her life had settled into a lull and her boredom was reaching a dangerous maximum. Dashing towards the blue light, Lita was anxious to find out what it was.

"Heeeeeeyyyyyyyy what are youuuuuuuu???" Despite her small size, her lungs seemed to be very strong and her question floated out over the landscape. If anything or anyone was over at the blue light, surely they will hear it. Scrambling, Lita's feet moved quickly as the distance between the blue light and her was closing.

Atticus dove out of the sky as he saw a creature approaching. His dive was silent and it was distracted. The sheer wind force of his flapping wings finally reached it as he realized what it was - a prairie nymph. The griffin landed between it and the wisp in such a way that it would not have ever caught a glimpse of Risetta.

Atticus was easily twice the nymph's size and with his head held high, he was probably a rather intimidating sight.
Who are you? his thought boomed into her mind - not audible to ears, but a thought which she would've sensed in her mind. What brings you to the land that falls beneath my skies?

Meanwhile, Risetta saw Atticus land back on the ground and although she saw no one, she could've swore that she heard something. Someone had to have been there otherwise Atticus would not have landed. Risetta bounced to her feet again and turned to Lumis, whom she thought of as her new friend. "I'm sorry, but I have to go to Atticus now. He can be... unreasonable with new people." Risetta ran to the griffin. "Atticus! Atticus!" She called out. "You have to stop! Lumis has been waiting for her!"

Lumis? Atticus's confusion was clear as he sent the thought to her mind. Do you remember the last time you trusted people, Risetta?

Risetta just rolled her eyes and turned to the prairie nymph. "I'm sorry about him. He thinks people will hurt me because I'm half demon." Risetta explained. As she spoke, her tail brushed a lock of hair from her face. Again it seemed almost subconscious.

The entity looked at atticus, and halved its eyes to show a disappointed look... "Well anyways, there's now three of you... we just need to wait for one more..."

Looking at the prairie nymph with normal eyes, the entity says with a reasuring voice, "Come, sit. fate has brought you to me for a reason." it pats the log in a spot right next to it using the tip of its tail, gesturing for her to sit next to it, which afterwards it goes back to sitting normally.

"Akpbt! Achoo!" Sneezing rapidly, Lita brushed the pollen that flew up into her nose when the large winged creature landed before her. She suddenly heard a voice in her head, most likely coming from the newcomer.

"Hey!! What are you doing?!" She exclaimed and peered suspiciously at it. "This is where I live so- achoo! Sniff, so why don't you tell me why ACHyooOO! are in my land??"

Before the creature replied, another voice interjected, shouting a strange word or maybe a name. A girl with horns appeared and she seemed to be telling the creature to stop. Lita was pleasantly surprised at the apology as well. Winking, Lita curtsied. "Nice to meet you! I'm Lita!"

For the third time, a voice spoke and Lita gasped as the blue light she saw from afar spoke to her! Looking more closely, she saw it had a tail. She was very curious and the tone of the demon girl and blue light was reassuring enough that Lita felt safe. She went over and sat down next to the blue light. Her feet hung down and swung back and forth. She peered at the winged creature that was called Atticus and blew a raspberry at it.

The tea and sugar come back alive again, along with a two more cups and a spoon. tea gets poured into the cups, and sugar gets mixed into them. the first cup flies over to Lita, while the second flies over to Atticus... though, out of disrespect, the one that flies over to Atticus tips over and spills out all the liquid onto the ground, disappearing afterwards.

"What's this?? Why thank you!" Excited, Lita gripped the tea cup in a tight hug and tipped backwards. Taking a big gulp, Lita spat it out right away. "H-Hot!! So hot!! S-sorry all!!" The slightly large tea cup had fallen to the ground and the tea was absorbed by the grass. Gingerly touching her tongue, Lita leaned back, lying on the log with her feet flailing up in the air. "Ow ow ow!!"

Moments later, Lita felt a tickling sensation on her feet. Her eyes were closed at the moment since the sun was shining down on her face quite brilliantly. "Ahahaha! Stop it!" Turning over, she fell off the log and instead of hitting the ground, felt herself land on something soft. There was a lifting sensation and soon she saw that she was rising up higher into the air. Astonished, Lita looked down to see that the grass that absorbed the tea was growing extremely fast. She was on one of the newly sprouted leaves. Soon she was twenty feet into the air and the growth was still steady. "Heyyyyy help!!!!!"

(Whoa, easy on the high fantasy there Varie! lol)

The entity's eyes glow for a short bit, creating a miniature platform under Lita. the platform was a thin square that was the size of her. the platform takes her away from the growing grass and lands her back down onto the log, disappearing afterwards.

"Well..." The entity says, forming its eyes to show confusion, "That was... strange... does that always happen when you drink tea?" it looks at the tall wad of grass grown from the spilled liquid, "Because that was far from my intentions when I made it."

He couldn't remember how he got there. He didn't remember how he had managed to get up and move over to the crowd gathering around the blue...thing. One thing he was sure of, was that he was fresh out of mead. And the good stuff too! Stumbling over himself, he fell into the grass a bit of a ways away from the group, the various bottles and items rattling and clinking in his bag, along with his arrows quietly clanking together in his quiver. He couldn't make out what they were saying, but he did notice a cup of tea appear out of thin air. Maybe they can refresh my 'supplies' he grumbled mentally to himself, pushing himself up and continuing his half-drunken trip towards the group.

The thought didn't even cross his mind that he could've been dreaming. Or that he hallucinating...who knew if the mead was spiked?
A horned girl, a gryphon, a blue ball and a...pixie? Fairy? Whatever they like to be called...I've got to be dreaming. Settling upon that idea, he stumbled into the group unceremoniously and sat down on the end of the log without so much as a word. Ignoring any protests or any comments of quips, he narrowed his eyes and looked each one over intently. After a moment he brought his eyes back to their usual open self, and pinched himself on the cheek.

"Yep, not dreamin'" he stated aloud suddenly, his breath carrying the foul (read: fragrant/lovely) scent of alcohol. Considering he was the only human amongst the group, he seemed rather calm and collected as reached into his bag and pulled out a wine skin full of water. He took a swig, then stuffed it back into his bag (after closing it, of course) and then focused his attention back towards the group. "M'name's Harper. Who're you folks?" he paused, then waved his hand and muttered "Actually, forget it. Why're we gatherin' here?" he rather bluntly asked, finally resting his focus on the blue ball of...something. It seemed important, so he assumed it would speak. If not...then he was probably dreaming. That he was sure of.

OOC: forgive the meh post. By the by, italics are thoughts, bold is speech.

The entity looks Directly at Harper, and says with a positive tone, "Ah, there you are. The final member has come to finally join us. In that case..."

The eyes glow once again, and suddenly, the cups, the Tea pot and sugar, and then the stump itself... evaporate into thin air. the log also evaporates, but at a slower pace so that those sitting on it have time to get off of it before hitting the ground with their butt.

The entity floats to where they are in front of everyone. and with a bold tone, the Entity says, "Ladies and gentlemen, by fate, you have all been brought here. Despite it being curiosity or of random encounter, you are now here do follow destiny..." He pauses for a moment... "Even though I still don't know what that is."
