Fantasy Wolves Among Us (Accepting)

Mac nods his head "sure, I wouldn't mind joining you." He finishes his breakfast and starts to do the dishes. Fern had just finished her breakfast too and handed her dishes to Mac. "If you see Echo tell her I'll be in our room." Fern turns and leaves. Raku Raku FireMaiden FireMaiden

Echo begun to reply 'no' to Sam just when she grabbed her by the arm. Echo shifted to her wolf form and ran beside Sam. "We can get there faster like this." Echo barked to Sam. Sjhall2011 Sjhall2011 ( Miss Mack Miss Mack heads up)

The girl shifted in front of her, becoming a sleek blonde wolf, running next to Sam.

"We can get there faster like this" Echo barked.

Sam laughed, feeling freedom she hadn't felt in a while. She jumped over the fallen tree and shifted mid air, landing along side Echo. She winked at the wolf and took off from the direction of the sound.

"Race you" she called back to Echo.

Adaria couldn't hear the humans anymore, just the thunderous sound of her strong heart beating. One two three one two three... She huffed and lay on her back at the edge of the woods, biting her lip and looking at the sky. "I don't want to die here." She whispered to herself softly before sitting up, her head swimming.

Her voice was raw and felt scratchy because of that scream. It drew all of the hydration out of her mouth and the running certainly didn't help. Adaria rubbed her temples, trying to alleviate the headache before the wind shifted and the smell of wolf was incredibly strong. They were headed her way.

Amber would have to think. Mainly to remember if she had any clean clothes. Eh, she'll check. In the meantime, "Yeah, I'll come. Gotta get dressed first of course." She ran a hand through her hair again, her fingers getting caught on some tangles, "And a few other things...you guys are lucky. Having short manageable hair. If only..." Mac finishes the dishes and turned to look at Amber. "Well if you cut your hair short you wouldn't have a problem." Mac said with a smile. FireMaiden FireMaiden Raku Raku

Echo snorts and picks up speed to catch up. "Your pretty good running at that pace in a human form." After awhile she sniffed the air and caught the scent of another wolf. "Hey, slow down and look over there." Echo motioned with her muzzle, the direction the scent was coming from. Sjhall2011 Sjhall2011 Miss Mack Miss Mack

Sam stopped, looking towards the direction Echo had pointed in. Smelling the scent of the other wolf, her fur stood on end. She could smell fear, and that made the other wolf dangerous.

She crouched and slowly approached the scent, her sense of adventure outweighing the danger. They were near the edge of the wood, and she could make out a young girl. She was sat upright, naked and dirty. Sam no longer felt threatened and stopped approaching. She sat and turned to Echo, "what now?" she asked

Seros grinned as Mac said he'd join him. From what he heard earlier, Mac didn't get any sleep, so maybe some nice food will give him a little boost. As Fern left Seros gave her a smile and a wave. "Will do Fern" he told her. Next Amber said she'd join them. This morning was looking up. She continued to complain about how long hair was messy and unmanageable. Seros chuckled. "Hey, if it really bothers you that we have short, manageable hair I might just grow mine out" he said with a childish giggle. He then got back to them going to the city. How they would get there was his next question. "So, how you guys wanna get there. Wolf it through the woods until we find a bus stop?" he asked clapping his hands together once.

Amber pretended to be offended, "I can't believe what I'm hearing! And from a man with a mullet no less!" She said, with a very dramatic flare. She liked having long hair, She didn't believe she could pull of short hair. Not to mention she may have PTSD from the Orphanage haircuts. Bowl cuts, with actual bowls. She's never had hair shorter than shoulder length sense. When Seros brought up how they would get there, She put her mug in th sink and began to leave the kitchen, stopping right before she did. "You two figure that out. I'll go get dressed, because unlike you boys, I care about fashion." With that, she left the kitchen, heading back to her room to get ready. LinkyGirl LinkyGirl Raku Raku

Echo shifted back to human form and slowly walked towards the girl. She stopped a couple feet in front of her and squatted down to eye level. "Im not going to hurt you, I want to help you. And with your permission I would like to take you back to where I live and have someone look you over." Echo gave her a small smile in hopes that the girl will trust her. Oh what an amusing bunch of people that lived in this house. It was funny seeing them going at it playfully. Seros let out a chuckle as Amber commented about Mac's hair, calling it a mullet. Mac's answer to Seros' question was in agreement with his own. Amber didn't really answer, she just left it up to them as she went to get ready. Her departing remark slightly offended Seros. He frowned a little as he brushed his hands over his clothing. "Aww, what's so wrong about business casual?" he said with false sadness. Business casual was how his co-workers described his outfit. Turning back to Mac, he grinned. "So, going wolf is how it is I guess" he said as he placed his mug in the sink.

Malin(Jason): He positions himself correctly to catch fish and within a few minutes he gets lucky, he catches a fish. It was a decent size and he scarfs it down in a few seconds. He was still hungry though and catches another fish. He eats this fish, a bit more slowly to try to actually enjoy the fish this time. After catching a second fish and eating it, he was still hungry. The second fish wasn't as big as the first one and he continues to stare at the lake but his luck seemed to run out. He was annoyed, at the world, at himself, he wasn't sure what. He hated the situation that he was in but was too afraid and stubborn to try do anything about it. He refused to go to the human world for help, he was too prideful for that. Malin looks around, his ears perked up and sniffs the air. There were strong wolf scents but it seemed like no one was coming out of the house just yet. Trying to relax, even if for a little while, he jumps into the lake and swims around some.

Amber, over the last uear, had gotten the skill of getting ready quickly. She could multitask, so she was brushing her teeth while she got clothes, brushing her hair as she washed her face with some face pad thingys ash she actually put her clothes on. The finally touch was pulling her hair back into a messy bun. She reckoned the boys in the kitchen no less than 6 minutes laters. Of course, because of her sensitive hearing, she heard Seros' comment. "Oh, nothings wrong with it. It's looks nice in you."

As per usual, Alec was one of the last to make it downstairs. In fact, he was one of the last to be awake! He slept soundly, and as some might say he slept 'like a rock'. Rarely did he ever wake up before breakfast was made, but this morning was somewhat different. His nose must've caught the smell of sizzling bacon, the smell slowly seducing him from his slumber. Alec slowly sat up and stretched his arms over his shoulders with a loud yawn. He ran his hand through his light blonde hair before tracing the stubble down his chin. Hm, maybe it was time to shave? He smirked to himself.
Nah!

He snagged a shirt out of the closet he and his sister shared, casually tossing out two or three of his sister's tops onto her bed that he accidentally grabbed. Settling on a black button up and a pair of beat up old denim jeans, he quickly threw his clothes on before slipping into the bathroom for a quick once over. He adjusted his messy blonde hair before quickly moving out his bedroom and down the stairs. “Mornin!” He mused quite loudly on his way down the stairs, already having the energy of someone who chugged several energy drinks-- minus the shakes! He slipped into the kitchen, barefoot as usual and a grin on his face. “Breakfast smells great, I knew I was smellin bacon!” He mused quite happily. “I'll help make the eggs if I can snag some bacon, Mac. And morning you two,” Alec added, grinning over his shoulder at both Amber and Seros. “What's business casual?” He added curiously, his eyebrows raised ever so slightly.

Ashley was out and about as she typically was. She had skipped out on sleeping in the cabin, instead enjoying the silence of the night as she wandered the woods in her human form. It wasn't unusual for her to be gone a few days at a time, only stopping by the cabin for a change of clothing and a shower. They seemed like nice people, but most did at first. At least Alec settled in well.

She had looped back towards the cabin, her head turning ever so slightly at the sound of someone's scream. Well, a screech was more like it, and it made her entire body tense up and freeze, not to mention make her eardrums ache. A chill ran down her back as her teeth clenched-- that was another wolf. And that wolf was either in danger or was bringing danger here. Against her better judgment, she took a leap forward and took to her wolf form-- it was small and slender but without the bulk she was able to maneuver through the dense forest with ease. Her blonde fur stood on end as she slowed her speed, coming upon the new wolf smell as well as someone familiar. She slowed when she saw Echo in her human form, her hazel eyes slowly shifting from Echo to the new female, Sam, to the other female who let out the yell, Adaria.

She remained in her wolf form, her blonde fur standing on end as she took more of a defensive stance. Though she hardly knew Echo, she knew her enough to be more protective over her than some strange wolf who was shouting in distress. Hey loyalty lied with those who aided her and her brother.
“Be careful,” She warned quietly to Echo, her hazel eyes fixated on the exhausted woman. It could be a trap, or it could be that the female really was in some sort of danger. Perhaps she was with humans, or she was laying a trap for another pack of wolves. Either way, she wasn't about to let her guard down.

Sam remained in wolf form as Echo changed. She didnt want to risk it being a trap, this way should could protect herself and Echo quickly.

Another blonde wolf appeared, fur on end, and startled Sam. She bared her teeth for a. second but stopped when she heard the new comer warn Echo, they must both be from the safe house.

She joined the others in watching the female. Sam could smell humans but they were far off, so not of any concern right now. She slowly paced forward, still in wolf form, to stand next to Echo. She tilted her head at the stranger and didnt feel like there was any danger as the female was to exhausted to fight any of them. She laid down near Echo's feet, hoping that the small girl would see she meant no harm.

Adaira was trying to control her breathing as fear gripped her once again. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the person in human form standing in front of her. There were at least two wolves now here, eyeing Adaria carefully. She gulped and said, "You need to lay low-" she didn't know how to explain it without sounding like a traitor to her kind. "Humans hunted me for miles." She said.

Adaria's auburn, wavy hair was frizzy and unkept as her dark eyes searched for a reply from the people in front of her. She didn't know how to tell them she meant no harm, so she simply bowed her head in a more submissive way and looked down, not changing into her wolf form just yet.

Sam could smell that the young girl was still terrified, this wasn't going well so far.

She could her the stranger breathing hard, Sam focused on the sound trying to see if it calmed down.

"You need to lay low. Humans hunted me for miles"

The voice snapped her out of her trance and she looked up at the source. Wild eyes searched hers for an answer and then the girl bowed her head.

Sam stood slowly, trying not to frighten the already scared female. She shifted into her human form, not bothered about her nakedness. "The humans are far off right now, let's go to Echo's house and the people there will look after you. Trust us, you're okay now" Sam offered, with a smile.

(Didn't know we'd started, don't timezones suck. Will try and post some form of catchup post. Not too happy with it but it's just so i'm at the same point timewise as everyone else.)
Matei Lup
Matei had to admit that beds were definitely more comfortable than the ground, as much as his sister refused to admit it, he rolled his eyes as he realized once again he had been one of the last to wake up. He ran his hand through his hair, a weak attempt to tidy it up and hurried downstairs. "Morning!" he called out as he walked into the kitchen.

Everyone was already on with their day and moving about, some were eating and some were drinking coffee. Coffee, yet another thing that humans did right. He sniffed the air, frowning, he could smell new wolves. Matei knew he couldn't exactly complain, it had only been a few weeks since he was in their position, but everytime new wolves entered it made him nervous. He had nothing against people, it was just a case of he didn't like new people.

He looked up as Maylea walked in and shot her a small smile, before shaking his head at the fact she'd slept outside
"May, your a human too y'know." She rolled her eyes and mock-snarled at him, "Not if I can help it."
She tilted her head and perked up slightly, shooting her brother a feral grin "More wolves!" He watched as she hurried outside to watch as the new wolves arrived.

Matei shot Alex a grin,
"If you make some eggs, I'll make some more bacon? If there's some newbies we're going to need all the food we can make." He remembered how much he and May had eaten during their first day, they had been starving and living off of scraps for months, so when they arrived they had eaten everything in their sights.

Maylea Lup
Maylea had spent her night outside, her brother had tried to get her to share a room with him but she had refused, usually she'd just shift and sleep outside in her wolf form. She'd made a makeshift den next to the cabin, after many arguments with her brother, he helped her make a tent with some blankets and so she slept there.

Sighing she hurried into the cabin, hoping to annoy her brother into coming with her to hunt later, she rolled her eyes at his remark (slightly annoyed that her brother was jumping on the human bandwagon) and mock-snarled at him, bearing her teeth
"Not if I can help it." Maylea had told him the day they arrived at the cabin that she was going to be as true to her wolf as possible.

She tilted her head and sniffed the air,
"More wolves!" she shot her brother a feral grin, she still hadn't caught the hang of the more human expressions. She hurried outside and sat outside the door, she wanted to check out the new people.

Malin(Jason): His ears perk up when he hears the door of the house open and he gets out of the water quickly. He looks around his surroundings but sees no one. Malin shakes off his pelt from the water and gets low to the ground. He was curious about this place and he could smell the food cooking from inside. He was still hungry but would they really let a strange wolf eat some of their food? How could he be sure that they weren't going to kill him? Keeping low to the ground, he crawls forward, trying to sneak up on whoever he might run into. Malin goes around the back and keeps to the side of the house, using it for protection. Right before he reaches the front of the house, he hides in a bush that meets the corner of the house. He makes sure not to make a noise and slips in there, he pulls himself forward to hide. He doesn't relax though, not wanting to be caught off guard. He spots a wolf sitting in the front of the cabin, he could smell other wolves too but assumed they were just in their human form. Malin hopes that the scent of the bush and the water on his pelt would help to mask his scent, at least for awhile. He hoped that he was pretty well hidden and for the most point he was, unaware that the tip of his tail was poking out from the bush.

Echo had noticed the scent of humans, but since it was faint so she didn't make a big fuss about. "Don't worry about the humans and let me take you back to the house like Sam said." She turned her head towards Ashley and said, "I think we can relax around her." Looking back at the girl she adds, "I'd be surprised if you could do serous damage in your current condition." Sam smiled at Echo and shifted back into wolf Form. She waited near the injured female, for the other girls to be ready. Maybe she could stick around here and see if there was any space at the house. Maybe everything would work out

Adaria raised an eyebrow at their words, they claimed to be safe here. That is ridiculous, but could it be possible to stop running for once in her life? She tied to control her breathing before slowly nodding and saying, "Thank you..." she tugged at her hair and tried to rub some feeling back into her numb feet. This was a long day and she was looking forward to a bath, or to anything of comfort really. A cup of tea would do-

She looked at the other wolves and then the people, giving another nod of thanks and saying, "I'll follow you." Adaria slowly stood, her knee screaming in pain. It might have been popped out of place, her leg did look funny. "But go slow okay?" She asked

Alec was prepping the frying pan with some melting butter before Matei made his way into the kitchen. He grinned goofily before retrieving a bowl and cracking a few eggs into it. “Well, they'll have to arrive pretty quickly,” He mused as he began whisking the eggs with a little milk. “Cause I'm pretty sure I could eat a few dozen eggs all to myself!” He jested. Once the butter was melted and the eggs whisked to his liking he poured the mixture into the frying pan.

“Seen my sister around?” He asked nonchalantly. It wasn't that he was necessarily worried that she was going to be in some sort of trouble, Ashley always was quick on her feet. He, more or less, was concerned she'd bail out and leave him behind.

Ashley's ears pulled back in minor irritation. Yes, the female looked like she was exhausted and a little beaten up, but that hardly meant anything. Wolves were the most dangerous when cornered or injured. Still, Echo seemed to have faith that this female wasn't any sort of danger, and it wasn't Ashley's call. It wasn't her cabin and she hardly considered herself in a position to make those those sort of decisions.

Ashley kept a safe distance from the two new females, taking a few steps away from them to the left. It was clear she didn't trust Sam nor Adaria with her body language alone. She'd follow them to the cabin to make sure that they weren't a threat. That, and to check on her brother. Lord knows what sort of trouble he'd gotten himself into while she was away.

Sam walked near Adaria, hoping to comfort the new comer, as she was also a stranger to the group.

It was clear that Ashley was wary of both the strangers. She kept her distance and kept a close eye on them both. Sam didnt mind this, after all it wasn't her territory and no one here knew her. She was surprised that she had been allowed to tag along this far.

Echo seemed extremely trusting, which is not something Sam was used to. On the streets, there is no trust, its every wolf for themselves. This was new.
She kept her head slightly bowed, showing she wasn't a threat but she also wasn't submitting to the group. Sam wasn't the type of wolf that submitted to anyone.

Echo extends her right arm out and says, "I know I'm taking a risk, but you can lean on me. You needed to save as much energy as you can if you plan on recovering quickly." She looks over at Ashley with a serious look on her face "Ashley can you please go on ahead and warn anyone whose still at to get a room ready along with the medkit." Then looking over at Sam she says, "if you want, you may come with us." BurlapSack BurlapSack Sjhall2011 Sjhall2011 Miss Mack Miss Mack
