Sky Avena-19-Omega-Winson-Human
Unknown and unobserved, at least as far as the human female could make out, Sky remained by the side of the house with her knees drawn up to her chest. Staring at the open grassy area around her, there didn't seem to be anything for her to do to help at the moment and still shaken by Janus yelling at her and Styx's turn into human which reminded her of what had been done to her, she got to her feet and began heading for the forest. Suddenly the past forty-eight hours crashed together within her mind, the various new things to see and all she had to learn, the fear of her upcoming transformation on the full moon, the people that seemed to crowd around her since arriving and it all served as a catalyst to cause her mind to whirl and breathing to sharpen.

Not knowing she shouldn't technically be wandering by herself, she just wanted to get away. Anyway, it was likely she would end up wandering the forest at night anyway once her insomnia hit, something she doubted that anyone here would understand. Sky didn't have her other resources she used to manage her anxiety but the forest was around them and maybe being within it would calm her, even if it was a place of horror for the girl. Without much thought as to how she was going against unknown laws, she headed into the trees.

Stumbling through the forest, the cabin and inhabitants began to disappear behind her and soon she found herself somewhat lost and alone. Yet there being nobody around her, that she could see or hear with her human senses, was a mixed feeling to the girl. In a way it was acting as a reliever to her anxiety by giving her peace but in another way she kept on edge and her eyes were wide as she jumped at normal sounds of the forest. How anyone could expect her to endure such a dramatic change in her life was a mystery but she thought that nobody cared.

Sky wasn't a total girly girl though she was always dressed in loose billowing clothing, minus the sweaters she would wear in the cooler months. The girl was currently dressed in a semi-torn red kimono with cream birds and blue star designs on it, the only clothing she currently had. It wasn't long before she lost the way back to the house, her condition not helping with keeping directions when she froze at hearing something within the distance. Thinking it might be a rabbit, she spotted a hollow log nearby and went to sit on it, only to look up as she did so and stumbled backwards, falling back over the log at the site of the wolf. A rather big wolf though she was relieved to see it looked nothing like the one that had bit her and hurt her or Styx. Winching as she landed, she slowly sat up and peeked over the log with big eyes, looking for all the world like a rabbit caught in the sight of a predator. Not knowing the difference between male and female werewolves, her mind immediately jumped to another chance at being attacked. She didn't want to be hurt and she didn't want to lose her life either even if she didn't have much of one anymore.

Nima saw Vernon walk by and thought he'd probably know where Alex was. He was the beta after all, he'd have to know, right? "He-" She attempted to greet Vernon as he walked past but he didn't appear to have noticed her. The struggles of being the smallest adult in the pack were undeniable, even the minor issues like this... With a quiet frustrated growl, she then noticed him emerge from his room with a shirt. Nima found this behavior to be strange, considering he didn't need a shirt and he wasn't putting it on, but instead, he was taking it somewhere. Confused, concerned, and slightly annoyed, she followed her superior silently, as if he were the hare he had stalked and killed that now cooked in the oven at this very moment. She was, to say the least, shocked to see a girl with bright red hair, talking to Alex and now Vernon. The young woman decided this would be the time to reveal herself to the small group.

"Um, anyone care to explain who this random chick is or am I just supposed to guess?" Nima questioned sarcastically, revealing herself to both the stranger and the two males. "Loner?" She didn't smell the revolting stench of a Winson pack member on her, so she didn't immediately dislike Scarlet. In fact, it could be considered a bonus, to simply not have any of that particular scent on you. At least, she didn't dislike her quite yet. How Nima would feel about the mysterious girl would depend upon what she was doing here, what was currently being discussed, and how she would proceed to conduct herself. Crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow expectantly, she waited for a response from any of the three, not really caring especially who responded to her, as long as she got said response.

Zeus-35-Loner
Heavy footfalls carried a tall yet stocky built wolf through the town, making quite a few wonder at the size of the large dog that traversed through their streets without an owner or leash. It didn’t even have a collar or tags to show who it belonged to and some thought it might be a stray. The brown and tan wolf, for that was what he was, ignored the creatures around it as it continued on, leaving spots of blood from sore paws. Following the scent of trees, the wolf continued his long trek until cement and tar became dirt that soothed his aching bleeding paws. Mouth parting as he entered the trees, he tossed his head back with agape jaws and let loose a booming howl that echoed through the immediate area before continuing on through the forest, searching for water so he could rest his paws in. Wherever this wolf may have come from was a mystery, truthfully he couldn’t say much himself.

Heading through the forest, ignoring the shivers of those passing by from his howl in the town, the male made his way deeper into the forest until he came to a creek and slipped into the water before lying down within the deepest part which wasn’t as deep as a steam or river, a heavy relieved sigh escaping him. From somewhere in the distance he thought he could smell a kill and another wolf but he could be wrong. One’s mind tended to play tricks when without company, fatigued and starved for so long.

Purnima huffed as her ears picked up on a far off sound that was little too close to their territory. "You know what, tell me afterwards. I frankly don't care so long as she doesn't eat one of the pups or anything else like that. Just keep an eye on her. I do have to talk to you, Alex, but I'll talk when you're not busy." She explained. "I'll deal with the noise, if I don't come back before my hare in the oven's done, it'd be nice if you sent someone to make sure I wasn't like, killed or something. Don't gotta but you know, that would be generous of you." And with that, she was off to see who or what howled so close to their territory. While she never understood the point of borders, she didn't want some random getting too close to the house.

Shifting into her wolf form so she could run and track better/faster, she ran in the direction of the noise before she caught a scent. "Another loner..." She muttered to herself. Where were they all coming from? And why were they showing up so close together? This was very strange behaviour indeed. From the smells of it, it seemed like whoever it was had gone to the creek.

Slowing down, she quietly followed the scent trail, that was twinged with the coppery smell of blood, a slight distance from it. It didn't take one of the best hunters of Hendrix long to find the source of both the howl and smell. It appeared that there was a wolf laying down in the water, not dead but definitely somehow injured or impaired. Nima decided to watch what she was fairly certain was a male for a bit, to decide upon what the best course of action was and to further assess the state he was in. She couldn't tell if he could smell her from this distance but she'd soon find out, she guessed.

Zeus-35-Loner
Cool and refreshing...tame one second then becoming wild and dangerous the next. It was always changing from liquid to gas when heated enough to ice when it was winter or in a place such as the tundra where it was always cold. Water was versatile due to its ability to adapt and those that lived among it learned to adapt as well. In a way like humanity, adapting to what nature threw at them, moving on when times became lean and despair filled, settling down roots where they wished and picking them up again to move on to the next destination. The water drifted around him, flowing over his sore pads that found relief after the endless traveling. Traveling for months if not years just to get to get to this one area.

If any were to attempt looking this loner up, they would find nothing on him. No paperwork, no school or medical records, nothing in a computer database whether locally, state or federal. For all intents and purposes this loner did not exist in society, any society whether it be human or wolf. There were no family and no friends, no enemies of which to contact for information. He was, in the very sense of the word, a phantom in the world, utterly invisible. The breeze was light as it blew across his fur, blowing in the earthy scent of apple and clover that was his own unique scent. He lay in silence but for the heavy and fast paced rise and fall of his body as he took in air.

The wind however blew the scent of wolf again to his nose, this time unmistakable and he turned his head, ears swiveling forward as he listened to the forest around him but the only sounds he could hear were birds in the trees, the wind rustling the branches, the water swirling around him gently. The wolf rose to his paws, not moving from the water as he turned his entire body to face the source of the disturbance, the light being captured and released within his fur that was soaking wet on the bottom from water. "I would come out if I were you," came the voice that contrary to the booming howl, sounded more like rustling willow branches.

Nima’s ears flattened against her brown skull. Damn it. She thought to herself. Nima had hoped the foliage and plants would mask her scent. She underestimated how good this strange wolf’s nose was. It was a bit embarrassing, honestly, to be discovered like this so easily.

“Alright, you caught me. Here, I’m out. Right here. Happy now?” She spoke, quietly stepping out from her hiding spot to reveal her small frame. “Look, I’m not gonna fight you or anything. Obviously.” She told him, referencing the apparent size difference between the two. At 3 feet long, she wasn’t the strongest, mostly relying on speed to get by. And she wasn’t gonna risk getting hurt when she didn’t even know this guy.

“I just have some questions for you, then you can go on your way. So let’s keep this civil and not rip each other’s throats out. That sound good?” She took a few cautious but confident steps towards Zeus. “First off, who are you? And second off, why do you smell so...” she paused, trying to think of a word to describe the strange scent. “... Weird?” She finally settled on, bright brown eyes squinting and looking the stranger up and down.

Zeus-35-Loner
Out of the foliage came a small wolf, bigger than a pup and fully mature but still small. Obviously not good mother material, she would likely die in childbirth with large pups if he were a mind to have her and he was not interested in such desires. It would just be the same if she mates another large wolf. He easily dwarfed the small female as he took her in. Her brown fur was lighter than his own, making her look more suited for a desert than a forest.

He said nothing to her question as she appeared nor did he comment as she continued speaking about not wanting a fight. Casting another glance at her form and looks, she was attractive. He wouldn’t mind seeing her as a human either. But she also smelled of other wolves, scents that mixed in with her own and the scent of herbs and blood could be picked out easily. “What makes you think I am going anywhere? I take it by the mix of scents you are in a pack.”

His tone commands attention, his posture showing he’ll fight if needed despite injury and shows the pride of a pureblood and leader. It’s something that has stuck with him even if memories are missing and gone. Yet his tone, at the mention of a pack becomes a mix of hostile indifference. Really he doesn’t care for packs or their troubles. “Your questions may not get answers. I’m not inclined to share. You and anyone else can call me Zeus.” He offers no explanation to the obvious fake name nor information on a real name. Instead his glowing green eyes remain on the female the entire time, studying her with a strange intensity. “From what I know, I have always had this unique scent. Why do you not have one?” Zeus appears genuinely confused and curious towards the answer, inhaling the air around him that comes from the female. He isn’t able to pick up any unique scents at all.

“So, not as dumb as you look, huh?” Nima replied to his assumption that she was in a pack. He didn’t actually look dumb to her, in fact, for a starving, injured wolf, he didn’t look half bad. And his scent, his strange fur pattern, and piercing green eyes were undeniably intriguing. Captivating, even. But none of those things mattered right now. She needed to determine if he’d be a threat to her pack and figure out what to do with him.

“Yeah, I’m in Hendrix. I know you don’t know who they are, since you’re definitely new to these parts, but all you need to know is, we’re the good guys.” She continued. “And I don’t have a “unique” scent because my pack needs to know I’m their pack mate, not some other random wolf who decided to wander in, such as yourself. Admittedly, I like to think I’m fairly recognizable but that’s how it is.” She sat her petite body down, trying to create a slightly more casual atmosphere. It was easier to assess a situation when you weren’t standing around all tense.

“See what I just did? I answered your questions directly, with no vagueness whatsoever. Isn’t that amazing?” Nima sarcastically joked. “So, how bad are your paws? Can you answer that question, “Zeus”?” The name sounded fake as hell but she decided to use it anyway. Better than nothing. Nima could tell they were bleeding and sore but was wanted to know the extent of it.

Zeus-35-Loner
She has a sassy flair to her. Watching and listening to her explain about the answer to his question on her lack of a scent that could distinguish her from others, he spoke. “How dull and boring. It may not help in a pack but if you were stolen when in heat or by man, it could be used to track you...or others...down. Instead your scents mix and smell like musky forest as do these others I smell on you.”

Zeus remained quiet at her response of being recognizable to others. “Hmm. You are certainly the smallest wolf I can remember seeing...rather dainty and attractive. Such a exotic experience.” When she finally sat down, he shifted his weight on his paws, redistributing it throughout his body. Finally deciding the female was no threat, he headed up onto the earth again and sat down near her but enough to give her space so she wouldn’t feel crowded. She was intriguing to him and he couldn’t say why, not understanding it himself. Those he had come across before tended to want to fight or skirt out of his way which didn’t help matters.

Good guys. So there are bad guys as well? Zeus turned his head to the side, releasing a yawn. “Hendrix...someone’s last name. Good guys...by your words there are also bad guys? Why live by human limitations? They are a cruel species, crueler than any wolf.“

The sarcastic tone was back as she questioned him. If she were human, she would be making air quotes as she said his name. The brief image made him chuckle to himself in amusement. Still it was not her business or right to know his story, nor her leaders’ right either.

“This other pack...what is it’s name and why do you fear them? Surely if they were ‘bad’ or ‘evil’ your pack would be patrolling constantly. I sense none here but you.” Again his confusion was back as he tried to make sense of it. When asked on his paws, he lifted one paw and turned it under to look at it, noting the redness. “ Sore and bleeding. Somewhat raw despite being tough from traveling.”

Not even Nima could hide her slight embarrassment over being called attractive, somehow overriding her hatred of the word dainty. Why was this loner so well spoken? That was rare among loners, who tended to be extra wild and feral. But he had already proven to be a strange fellow indeed.

“I ain’t scared of nobody, let’s make that clear right now.” Nima stated, shaking off her previous flusteredness. The very idea of her being scared by scum like Styx was preposterous. “Secondly, they are evil. Trust me. They took Ari-“ She stopped herself, knowing he wouldn’t know her by name. “Winson, the bad guys, took a pack mate of mine. She’s either their plaything or dead now. I don’t know what would be worse.” She grew serious for a moment.

“Interesting how some rando from who knows where understands we need patrols and to actually take action better than my own alpha does.” Nima flicked her ear, clearly bothered by just mentioning Alex. “I’m just told I need to be careful. Like you’ve said I’m small and “exotic” so I’d be a prime target. It doesn’t make sense why I should be careful on my own territory but what do I know? I’m just a dumb lil wolf who doesn’t know any better, right?” She then realized she had just ranted to an almost complete stranger. “Sorry...” She apologizes in a quiet voice, never being really good with apologies.

“And that’s exactly why we stay near humans.” Changing the subject, she gestured towards Zeus’ paws with her snout. “Humans have medicine and technology that can benefit us. An injury that would’ve killed our ancestors can now be healed in a few days. Yes, they’re definitely cruel and kind of terrible, but they’re smart and that’s undeniable.” She told him. “I could probably help you with those paws of yours, if you’d like. We have some supplies that I can get you and bring back here. Or you can suffer if you’d like. Your choice.” She left an offer for him on the table. Why help him? He was an interesting character and her parents were once loners who needed help too. She could never forget that.

Zeus-35-Loner
His lab runs pulled over his teeth in an amused smirk at her heated comment concerning her alpha. “Then perhaps you need a more stern and new leader.” Zeus had no plans on taking the job. “Your second question...as you can see I just walked in here quite freely. No scent markers or patrols to warn of a pack. No males to stay permanently on guard. Not all are as...accommodating as I am and this other pack could easily invade and your alpha wouldn’t know it, nor would any other leaders you have. An invasion would be easy if you were to get a spy really working for this other pack you frown on.” When she apologized, he just rolled his neck muscles, trying to get some stiffness out of them, the amusement not leaving as he sensed her embarrassment.

There was a brief explanation of this pack and the ‘crime’ they had committed. A stealing of a packmate and apparently another female. “And how do you know she does not stay there willingly? How do you know you can trust her not to spill your secrets?” For Zeus it was an honest question he posed. Things were not always what they seemed to be. People were not often what they appeared to be and could be hiding their true selves. How was this stolen member any different? Yet he allowed her to charge the conversation, merely pausing to run his tongue over his sore paw.

“The problem with werewolves is there are many customs that are seen as ‘bad’ by those of other packs. None seeks to try to understand such things and that is where battles for territory spawn from. A lack of understanding and respect for others. It is a big problem among humans...who do nothing but fight, destroy and kill over a lack of understanding and greed or power.“ As she spoke of how humans were smart and could help, how they had medicine and injuries like he had could kill their ancestors he stood and stalked over to her until he was roaring over her. “Werewolves limit themselves to behaving like animals little flower. These little injuries are nothing and won’t kill me but if you’ve a desire to see me again I will take your offer for helping, assuming it suits your fancy.”

“Maybe we do. Trust me I’m well aware of those threats you just listed as well as others.” Nima replied to his comment on her leader. While she thought Alex was a kind leader, she didn’t believe he was tough enough to properly deal with Winson properly or be an alpha at all. It was a very frustrating situation, being in a pack with a much too passive leader who let way too much slide. He hasn’t even lifted a paw to help Arisa yet. Nima has considered leaving, but her loyalty, while hanging by a string at this point, was still there. Besides, her only other options were be a loner or join Winson. Neither were very appealing options to her.

“Anyways, I know her and I grew up with her. She wouldn’t. The only way she’s still there is either because they won’t let her leave, they brainwashed her, both of those two options at once, or they killed her. As for the secrets thing, I don’t know about that. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was tortured until she told them something. I honestly cannot fault her if that was the case.” Nima liked to think she knew most of her packmates at least at a base level, and she knew Arisa would simply struggle in that environment. There’s no way she’d naturally want to be there, least in her mind.

She remained calm as the loner got up and towered over her, unfazed and unintimidated. If he tried anything, which he didn’t seem like he would, she was certain she could outrun him, even without factoring in the injury. Nima continued to remain seated. “So is that your mysterious and annoyingly vague tough guy way of saying “help me please?”” She smirked in a playful and slightly cocky manner. “In any case, yes. It does suit my fancy, as you put it. We’ve got plenty of supplies, I’m sure no one will notice if some happen to go missing.” Nima was curious about this fellow werewolf and couldn’t help wanting to find out more about him. It would also be a disservice to her parents if she didn’t help him as her pack once helped her own family when they were loners. I mean, if that random lady can get a free t-shirt and come that close to the house, why couldn’t she help Zeus?

Zeus-35-Loner
Allowing her free reign to speak, he stared down at her as he stood before over. Do not be sure that what you wish to help is not the bad one in disguise nor the one that you know isn't a traitor to the cause, he thought to himself. When she spoke concerning taking medical supplies from her own pack he just blinked slowly at her. "If everyone is as incompetent as your alpha, it seems they would not. If they are, then you need to weigh your options of helping a loner and being punished, however that is done in your pack or risk punishment anyway and let said loner suffer. I find that leaders are not forgiving in my travels," he said before stepping back and heading back to the creek and again lying down within the water, allowing her to leave if she so wished.

The male took off into the trees, heading back towards the house. Man, she sure was... something. Weird? No, probably not. Especially not by werewolf standards. That whole, “rolling around in a dangerous place” was probably just happy fun times for her. Lord knows, these werewolves were... strange.

He plodded along, doing his best to stay out of sight as he approached the house. After he confirmed that there was no one to intercept him with his food, he scampered upstairs to the Omega room as quickly as possible, shoving his way in and preparing to drop the food in front of Arisa...

Only to find her not there. Oh well, she had a tendency to wander off. So, he opted to hide the food under a pile of thin blankets they were provided, and then he sat down himself. He really didn’t think that she should be wandering around, especially if Styx was as pissed as he seemed to be this morning.

He just didn’t understand her. He didn’t understand how she could go out of her way to try to help Styx after what he had... done to her. He got naïveté, it was a fairly common thing in people. But this was NOT being naïve. This was... childish.

But, he supposed he couldn’t begrudge her for that. She had been in this horrible situation for as long as he had known her, and different people deal with trauma differently.

The young man sighed, sitting in his human form, staring at the ceiling. As usual.

“Well, both fortunately and unfortunately, I should be fine. Besides, he’d be spectacularly hypocritical if he decided to punish me for this.” Nima decided not to get into the details of what she meant by that as she already gave him a generous amount of information.

“Alright, stay there. I’ll be back in a bit. One of the few advantages of being this size is that I’m a hell of a lot faster than anything else in these woods.” She shook her short light brown coat out and stood up as she prepared to run back the way she came.

“Oh, and by the way, if you want to know what to call this “exotic experience”, it’s Nima.” And then, like a bolt of lightning, she sped away, off to go fetch what she had promised from the place she called home. Nima doubted it’d be hard to retrieve the stuff, considering everyone was busy with the other mysterious loner that had popped in. As she ran, she wondered if Zeus and the redhead were somehow connected to each other.

Zeus turned his head towards the female as she spoke, even after he had moved back to the creek and resumed his spot within the deep part of the little body of water. His ears twitched as he listened to her speak her name and that she was the fastest creature in the forest. He did not respond as she then disappeared back wherever she had come from, he supposed to her pack home. In his travels he'd seen wolves who lived like wolves in dens and wolves who settled in one place and lived on the edges or within human society, living in cabins or houses big enough to house all members. Until he found clues that had brought him to this area, he might settle somewhere here in the forest until he had what he needed for his next direction. He would disappear sooner or later, leaving this place and these wolves behind as well as their pathetic problems and continue thus, for how long...until he found out more. And in time, with his disappearance, those whom had met him would forget for he made sure to leave no ties that might prevent him from his objectives.

Miley's ear twitched when she heard a faint sound of another. By the smell of it, it was a female. She didn't move, didn't turn her head towards the female as she could also smell fear. It had the same pack stench as the last male, but this time fear was attached. She laid calmly in the grassy field, one of her ears swiviling around to face the direction of the girl but acted like she didn't know she was there. She needed a way to the pack, she didnt need to scare off another.

Despite falling back over the log and hitting the earth, the wolf didn't seem to notice she was there. Admittabley, Sky didn't understand the wolf's issue for Styx had easily picked up on her and the other wolf and she had ended up running unintentionally into that first wolf who had caused searing pain in her shoulder that sometimes still throbbed even though Janus was doing his best to care for the injury. Instead the wolf just laid there in the grass, head turned away from her, one ear flicking about but that being the only movement that was visible and would likely be unnoticeable unless someone happened upon the scene in question. Unknowingly the wolf that Styx had fought and attacked forty-eight hours ago would be severely wounded and would be dying of its wounds at this very moment, taking away one threat to the girl. Sky didn't know that as she had been frozen with shock and only remembered snarling and yelping of the two wolves as they fought each other with her nearby. She hadn't been in much condition to run then, rather frozen in shock as the fight took place before her.

Her next thought, when she got the courage to stand and then move around the log to sit on it was that the wolf might be hurt though she couldn't see any injuries on it. Not knowing anyone's scent, she didn't know that the male omega named Drew had been here or that the beta had been here either. "Are you hurt?" she questioned at last, her desire to help overriding her fear of the wolf that slowly dissipated as the wolf made no reaction towards her. "I don't know anything about healing but maybe Janus can help though he...isn't in the best of moods right now."

Nima stopped running briefly to rub her body up against a tree to rid herself of the scent of Zeus. It might not seem that noticeable to anyone outside of the pack but she knew the difference would be immediately recognized and the pack had enough problems, they didn’t need to know about this random injured person on their territory. Besides, they were already dealing with one rogue. She could handle this one by herself.

Once she finished with that, she continued on her way to the house, shifting back to her human form. Looking around, she silently entered the house. Firstly, she took her hare out of the oven and set it on the counter. It was a little burnt but it’s not like she was picky. Stealthily, she crept to where they kept the medical supplies, relieved their healer wasn’t anywhere. While not a healer, she could roughly guess what would be needed. Grabbing them, she quickly exited the house, choosing to stay in her human form as it was easier to carry everything this way, although she’d be slower.

Zeus-35-Loner
Zeus continued to rest within the creek, the blood flowing from his paws and downstream, turning the water crimson but still good enough to drink and bathe in if needed. The male didn't have any clothes, having spent what he could remember of his life in his wolf form and if he had a human form then the appearance and past experiences with it were likely lost to him. Finally getting to his paws, he made his way back out, shaking his pelt out as he did so and then turned back to the water. Pulling grass up with his teeth, he munched on the spiky green blades and swallowing them. They of course provided no nutritional value at all but he was pushing his luck by being here. It was best not to hunt anything though water he could steal as nobody could prove he had taken water since there was plenty of it.

Purnima eventually arrived back at the creek, arms holding medicine and junk, including a piece of the hare she’d just taken out of the oven.

“Alright, you can stop pretending to be a deer now. I’m back.” The short, raven haired woman with the same scent as the small wolf from earlier called, holding up the piece of meat in her hand. It was small, but it was something. She threw it down near his snout.

“Finish that, then I’ll help you out the best I can with your paws. I’m no healer but I know the basics so don’t get too excited.” Nima warned him as she got all the items she brought organized. Nima was pretty sure she could help, at least a little.

Zeus-35-Loner
"You do realize that grass helps soothe upset stomachs," spoke Zeus as Nima called out to him, holding up a piece of meat which attracted his attention. The smell of herbs clung to the creature which looked to be somewhat blackened, giving it a charcoal smell. Said piece of meat was thrown in front of his snout and he looked down at it then back up at Nima as she continued speaking of her not being a healer but that he could eat and then she would tend to his paws. Nudging the piece of meat with his nose as he lowered his head, he took the scent in and then picked up the entire piece, the taste of charcoal hitting him mixed with a gamey flavor and herbs, as he chewed, his ears twitched as he listened for any sounds of others coming upon him who might fall into the usual routine of fighting or chasing him away.

"Relax Nima..." the name sounding strange on his tongue "it isn't breeding time so there's no reason to get excited as you put it." Finishing off the piece of meat rather quickly despite the charred flavor and aftertaste it left in his mouth, he licked his muzzle before lying down on the ground and stretching out fully, all four legs straight out behind and in front of him as he watched the female's movements. "Let's get this over with." He had no idea why he was talking much, maybe he hungered for a conversation or more likely was seeking information. It was hard to put a paw on. "This is still Rupple is it not?" he questioned, not knowing the name of this town had been changed several years ago from its original and was just more outdated information he had.

“Ugh, really? You gotta bring up mating season, dude? Gross. I’m not even gonna touch that. Nope. Like you’re cute and got that mysterious thing going on and all, but starving loners really aren’t my type.” Nima picked up a cotton ball and poured some antiseptic on it.

“This stuff hurts. But I’ll hurt you worse if you bite me.” Nima warned the wolf as she prepared to apply the stuff to his paws. “This’ll help it not get infected.” She further explained.

“What kind of- No! You’re in Wolf Pine Peaks.” Nima was fairly confused by the question. Like, what? “You sure you ain’t lost? Cause I don’t know what kind of place is called “Rupple” but this isn’t it, that’s for sure.” She shook her head. How do you get towns mixed up? Did he lose his mind or hit his head or what’s up with this guy?

"I wouldn't recommend wandering during that time of the year for your sake," spoke Zeus as he watched her come closer, warning the pain of the medicine and she would hurt him if he tried biting her to which he laughed. What could a little dainty thing do to him? Never mind, he would let her help. "Wolf Pine Peaks..." he mumured, growling slightly as the alcohol stung his pads. "Towns and cities are always changing names thanks to humans. So it seems the map...it seems to be another false lead."

“Or, and this is a crazy idea, males could learn what consent is and that they cant hump things just because they move. Oh, and that I’m faster than them and they’ll never be able to catch me anyways.” Nima brushed off the advice she’s heard oh so many times before. She was way too independent to listen to that.

“Almost done. Just gotta get these bandages on then you should be fine.” Nima mummered, brushing a lock of her hair behind her ear as she grabbed said bandages from the ground.

“False lead, huh? You trying to find something?” She raised an eyebrow at him. He’d probably give another vague answer, as was seemingly typical of him, but she asked anyways as it was still worth a shot in her eyes.
