Wild Spirits: The Hunt

It was a cold murky morning in the middle of Spring. I wake up to see my phone lit up with a message from my friend Caleb. The messages said "Dude I found this wicked bar downtown. You have to come tonight!!!" Groaning I take the phone and reply to him. "Alright, alright ill come just send me the address." Once i send the message i throw the phone on my bed and groan. Then Hunter growled from within. "Why do you stay around with that imbicille! I swear if i was in control he would be dead in the streets right now." I rub my eyes and with a smirk. "Good morning to you too." Hunter just growls in retaliation and stays quiet. Then as soon as i get dressed, my phone comes ablaze with the message from my friend. "The bar is called the Howling Moon. Its on Adams Street, you cant miss it."

The day progresses and it turns six pm, i then get ready and take a cab to Adam's Street. I see Caleb outside of the bar and he has a devious smile on his face. "Its about time! Its time to go hunting." Caleb says still smiling. "Can i kill him now!" Hunter screams in my head and I smile at his retort. "Do we have to chase girls every night?" I ask with a smirk on my face. "Wheres you insticts man!" Caleb shouts as he goes into the bar. If only he knew how strong my instincts were.

(I dunno if that is a good enought starter or not but here you go xD Also if you havent guessed I call my bear spirit Hunter. @SunsetRoses)

I scan through my closet, thumbing hangers lazily. I didn't want to go out tonight, not at all, but… Zephyra did. She had insisted, growling low in the corner of my mind as I napped and watched television, defensive and restless. It was when I dug myself out of the pile of comforters I had nested in that she began purring. I could just imagine her lying dormant and content, in the playground that was my mind.

I settled on a simple blouse, comfortable and lackluster. It wouldn't draw attention to me, but it would surely make me feel more at home in the bar. “Do you like it, Zephy?” I drawled, smiling wide. She didn't seem quite as happy, a low, chiding growl escaping the pits of her throat. It still managed to send a shiver down my spine, no matter how hard I tried to play alpha.

‘No, keep looking.’ Was her simple response, effortlessly dominant. I flinched, setting it back on the rack of my closet beside another outfit of a similar fashion. I lead her down the row, my hands doing the work while she picked and chose. We eventually drifted to a dress: it was a plain black fabric that ended mid-thigh, though the sleeves were lace and hung off the shoulders. I remembered buying this dress on a day where I felt overly sexual, and then stuffing it in the back of my closet the moment I got home.

‘That's the one,’ Zephyra chimed smoothly. I could envision her tail swishing hypnotically through the air, her pupils dilated in a state of enchantment.

I grimaced, but did as she said. Fights with Zephyra almost always ended up badly for me. She guided me through my makeup routine, and as I turned in front of my mirror, checking myself out from every angle, I realized how wild I looked. My ebony hair looked purposefully tousled, wavy and unorderly. My glimmering hazel eyes were lined naturally in a kohl liner, making them pop out against my outfit. My lips were blood red, plumper than usual. I snarled outwardly, the noise directed at Zephy.

“I look like a cat,” I allowed, voice borderline angry. Zephy snorted, and I imagined her licking her paws innocently. ‘I know,’ she confided. ‘It's perfect.’

I now sit in the bar, a new, overly hyped place called the Howling Moon. I've turned down multiple offers of drinks, now, and Zephy is having a fit in my mind. Through her yowls she commands me to dance, flirt, and commence in other, less classy things. All of which I find myself too uncomfortable to do, as every time I shift I have to readjust my dress.

The bartender keeps coming up to me, asking me if I would like anything other than water. I almost allow myself to order some hard liquor, but realize that the moment I lose inhibitions is the moment Zephyra takes over. It comes to the point that my head is pounding. Not because of the music, but because of the incessant commands of my inner companion. I finally give her reigns some slack, and stand, heading towards the dance floor.

The floor is full of bodies, everyone that is not currently drinking is dancing and swaying with a partner. I lack the skills needed to make a point, but Zephyra is a graceful animal. She guides me just as she did earlier in the night, reminding me to let go and simply swing my hips to the beat. I find a rhythm, eyes closed so I don't turn red and flee the scene. Men come towards me from the front and back to dance alongside me, but I politely move away from them despite Zephyra’s best efforts. Soon enough, I'm fully tuned to the music, and find myself giving in to instincts.

(sorry if the end is a bit meh, I didn't know how to end fluidly. Your post was great, by the way.)

Caleb and I enter the bar and the floor is littered with people dancing. "God damn, how popular is this place?" I ask in bewilderment and I could hear Hunter growling happily. It seamed that he was riled up as much as Caleb. "I dont know, but its great. Its time to get you laid!" We both head to the bar and with a soft scottish burr I ask for a whiskey and before I could even sit down at the bar. Caled had dived into the crowd.

"Come on, live a little. We havent had fun in ages!" Hunter basically roaring in my head. I try and ignore him by knocking back the whiskey. However that just seams to amplify the growls in my head. It appears Caleb wont be happy until i am grinding away at someone. So i turn around in my chair and see a couple of women, none of which draw my eye. Then I see a girl in a black dress and with an odd feeling, Hunter and I agree that we want her. That is a rarity.

After I finish my drink I start making my way through the crowd. My eyes focused on the girl, however before i could get to her Caleb shows up infront of me with two girls."Craig! This is amber and Rose. Rose agreed to be with me if you go with Amber. Good Luck." Before i could get a word out edgeways Caleb buggers off and I am left in front of this girl called Amber who is swinging side to side shyly.

(I was thinking that either Rose or Amber could be a huntress or they could just be there to party)
